For Supple, Soft Hands
I really like this hand cream. While it isn't as fragrant as the label claims it does moisturize deeply and keep hands soft and smooth. A must for anyone who has their hands in water a lot, gardens or after a day outdoors. It's a great habit to start using this at bedtime each night. You don't need to use a lot to get the full benefits. It takes a minute or two to absorb but well worth the wait. Works great on elbows too.

This looks and sounds like a good concept but looks can be deceiving. The first time I used this product the "smoky" color part broke at the base and fell out. Trust me I did not use any force when applying the product nor did I twist it out too far. The design is cheap. The application therefore was not easy. It was simple enough to blend with my fingers but that made no difference...the staying power of this eyeshadow is non-existent. It faded and creased after one hour. Even using an eyelid primer had no effect. As anyone could guess, you CANNOT use a light dusting of powder to keep it set. The shadow will only drag and clump over top of it. The only solution is to tote the product along with you for touch-ups all day but who wants that? It's a better idea to go buy a good powder smoky eyes kit that will last. This is a waste of money and time. It's not worth it at all. Covergirl hit rock bottom on this item.

This mascara isn't what I would call a bad product but I would not call it a great one at that. I purchased this product to see if it really lived up to the claims. It fell short. I purchased it in the black which was nicely pigmented and looked good as far as color goes. The brush does not live up to the hype as far as separating lashes and going on clump free. I had to use my lash comb to separate my lashes even after a light application. My lashes didn't look voluminous after applying, either. My lashes are not sparse or short and I have had much better results from other mascaras. I found this mascara to be somewhat gloppy right out of the tube. It did last without flaking but I did experience some smudging at times. It removes easily with either eye makeup remover or soap and water. I wouldn't purchase this product again.

This product has gotten many mixed reviews but I have to say I really like it. I have had no problem with the Tiger's Eye shade of this eyeliner pencil. It applies smoothly and evenly, blends/smudges nicely, wears well and looks very pretty. Tiger's Eye is a nice basic color that looks as good for daytime as nighttime. A good idea would be to use a lid primer and/or a light dusting of powder. I find this makes a huge difference in how well eye makeup applies and stays put. If you have oily skin a lid primer is a must. I will purchase this product again.

This concealer is amazing when used around the eye area for circles or darkness at inner and outer corners. I was very pleased with how well it blended and looked natural. A light patting of powder insures it will stay in place all day and still look great. Do test the concealer in natural light to make sure you buy the right shade. A non-matching shade never looks good no matter how fantastic the product is. Only a little is needed for minor eye circles or darkness. For more coverage with darker circles I suggest using concealer brush to apply and your finger to lightly tap the concealer in place. A quality product that I recommend.

This is a great palette for bronzed eyes or a sheer wash of bronze, whichever you choose. The colors blend well and last throughout the day. My only con was that a light hand is needed unless you want a very shimmery look. For night, all out shimmer is amazing but during the daytime less shimmer looks cleaner. I used my own eye makeup brushes for applying since I am not a fan of dual ended sponge applicators. I find a brush gives a nicer and more true to color finish and doesn't get the colors all muddied up from use. There are six colors to blend, mix and match and try so it's a good product for the money. I would recommend using this for a night on the beach, a summer party, a cruise or anytime you want a nice bronzed glow. Looks great on all skin tones and eye color. Best to leave the face free of other shimmers or bronzers when using this eyeshadow so you don't get an overly shiny look. I recommend trying this product.

When I read about Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain I was interested right away. I love lipstick and lipgloss but sometimes a stain is all you need. I bought this product in Envy, a deep dusky rose. This is a good color for most skin tones. A great lip product for on the go or for days when you wear little to no makeup. It applies smoothly, feels moist and stays hydrated without the eventual dryness you get from most stains. I love the chubby swivel pencil form which makes it so easy to apply. It's small and portable and fits into any purse for quick touch ups. The color is fairly lasting but does require re-touching after eating, etc. I don't recommend this product be used on chapped lips as the pigment will catch in any dry parts of the mouth. It can however be blended with some lip balm for a little added color.

I was very impressed by Korres Body Butter in Guava. I first tried it as a free sample and I was hooked. I ordered the full size not long after. It moisturizes well, absorbs nicely and keeps my skin soft and smooth throughout the day. The scent is not overpowering and fades without interfering with perfumes or deodorants, It did not make my legs itch as many other products do. The scent I am partial to is Guava. It reminds me of tropical regions and also of eggnog. A kind of vanilla, fruity, spicy that is good for any season. I know that combination of scents may sound weird but give it a try. Samples can and do go bad in stores (as another reviewer mentioned). If available, most reputable stores will give you a sample of a product before you buy.

I give this powder an average rating with its pros and cons. First the pros: it is a silky texture, it goes on smoothly. The cons: the color is not translucent, it will darken foundation for pale skin and give an unnatural finish, the powder does not match very fair skin when worn alone. It does indeed give an ashy tone to dark or very dark skin. Medium fair/medium normal to dry skin tones should do well with this. Oily skins beware, this powder does not do well with oil control and can change to an orangey color.

The worst beauty purchase I have ever made was when I bought Ardell Combo Duralash Kit. It looked promising with it's variety of short, medium and long individual lashes, lash glue and lash remover, plus a pair of mini needle-nosed tweezers to apply the lashes with. This is where anything good about this product ends. The opening of the bottle was too small to allow the glue to pour out as indicated in the instructions. The glue itself was a joke. It took numerous tries to get the lashes to even take hold and application is not as easy as the directions make it seem. I am steady-handed as well but it was no help in applying these lashes. Once I finally got them on they looked okay but nothing spectacular. I used the short length as the medium looked quite fake and the long length just looked cartoonish. I wore them for approximately 9 hours. Now comes the nightmare. The lash remover is complete and utter crap. I cannot use the words I would like to express what I truly think of this product. First of all it BURNED! I did exactly as the instructions stated yet the burning and stinging was non stop. Worse, the lashes didn't budge. Using an eyeliner brush as the directions advised did nothing but make my skin sore. I finally resulted to just pouring some remover out onto the pad of my forefinger and rubbing gently over the glued area. It took a long time and almost the whole small jar of remover to get these lashes to come off. I had only applied 3 of the individual lash sets to the very outer corners of my eye. Any more and I fear I would have been in a worse shape. I actually had to trim the individual lashes a bit so they would come off better. Thankfully, and I mean THANKFULLY, I did not lose any of my own lashes in this awful process. The burning and stinging didn't stop, even after I washed the area and applied a soothing cream. The outer corners of my eyes were swollen, red and burning even the next morning and throughout the day. I wish I had not purchased this product. My own lashes are nice but I wanted to try something fun. This turned out to be a mistake. I will never purchase another Ardell product under any circumstances. If I could give this product a 0 or a negative number review I would. Do think twice, seriously, before purchasing this set.
