This candle smells to me like the Christmas season in New England. When I burn it, I imagine myself walking through a forest choosing a Christmas tree to cut down or putting together a wreath to hang on my front door. It has a lovely woodsy natural scent and really does smell like fresh cedar and pine cones. The scent is rather complex, which I really enjoy, so I find I can burn it for hours without my olfactory nerves becoming desensitized. This scent makes my house feel very warm and inviting and makes me want to curl up in my pajamas with a good book. I also really love how Yankee Candle Company manages to choose just the right color for their candles. This is no exception – the deep forest green really matches my fall and winter decore. It is perfect for leaving out during the Christmas holidays and fits in nicely with my Christmas decorations.

Do not use this candle when you are hungry! It will make you want to eat an entire cake or a big batch of cookies. In all seriousness, this smells homemade. It has undertones of vanilla and sweet cream. It really does smell like fresh butter cream icing and will make you want to eat the candle! The vanilla isn’t too overpowering in the combination, and surprisingly the scent isn’t too sweet. I do find that this tends to be a more flat scent than some other more complicated Yankee Candle scents, but it does indeed smell like butter cream icing! Like other Yankee Candle Company candles, this candle burns very well and the scent really fills the room. I have found that my votives of this do tend to lose their scent rather quickly. They also start to turn a brown color on the bottom, but are still burnable. This particular scent is universally popular and makes a great gift.

This candle is perfect for the spring! It burns true, which is of upmost importance in a candle. It has a very strong lilac scent, but is somehow not overpowering. I normally find floral scents to be rather overwhelming and they often give me a headache, but this one does not. It is great for taking a bath or for freshening up the kitchen. It just smells light and floral, like being in a country field. Those who are very sensitive to florals, however, might find have a reaction to this candle. It is really fun to mix with some of the other spring scents to experiment with creating new scents. The Yankee Candle company is hands down my favorite candle brand. Their products burn like perfection and the scents burn true. Their candles and wicks contain no lead and burn very cleanly. They also have a great line of candle accessories to complete the feel.

This candle is perfect for the holidays. It has the balsam and pine undertones of a wreath but the fresh crispness of an apple. The two really balance themselves out nicely. For this reason, I find it evokes the feeling of the holidays but is not too holiday themed to be used exclusively during the season. I find myself lighting this candle year round, especially on rainy nights when I want something cozy. The candle has a slightly sweet undertone, but it is balanced out by the woody pine scent. Overall, a perfect balance. It is also a fun scent to mix with cinnamon based scents to really evoke the spirit of the season. The Yankee Candle company is hands down my favorite candle brand. I cannot say enough positive things about this brand. Yankee Candles are made in America, burn better than any other candle on the market, come in an incredible variety of scents, and are widely available. They are very well priced for the amount of burn time you get out of each candle and are by far my favorite candle company. This candle really does smell like Christmas Cookies! It has a strong vanilla undertone, but the sweetness is cut by a something that I can’t quite put my finger on. It isn’t clove, but it is some other spice. It evokes a warm feeling when burned and doesn’t get to be too overpowering if burned for a long time. This is also a great gender neutral candle – all my male friends adore this scent and I have given it away as gifts to both male and female friends. You really can’t go wrong with this scent!

They are very well priced for the amount of burn time you get out of each candle and are by far my favorite candle company. That being said, I don’t particularly care for this scent. I find it incredibly overwhelming and a bit chemical smelling. It smells like Downey fabric softener on steroids but a lot harsher in scent. At first, it burns very clean but at some point it becomes so strong that it gives me an incredible headache. I would expect the scent to be rather light and breezy given the inspiration, but it comes off as very very heavy. This might be a good alternative for those who like very strong scents but don’t care for florals.

I find these candles to be nicely scented. They come in a wide variety of scents and often go on sale. They also change their stock out regularly at Bath and Body Works stores to be in line with the season. These candles do burn evenly, but I find that they are not as strong as other brands, particularly that which they are trying to emulate: Yankee Candle Company. I do not get as much burn time out of these candles as I would expect or as is indicated on the label. Still, this product does burn nicely. What I like most about this line is their accessories. You can buy these really adorable candle covers and tea light holders which also fit, to a reasonable degree, candles from other companies. So while I am not as big of a fan of their candles, I do like the other products the company makes that aren’t listed for review on TB.

I tried this product in store but decided against purchasing it. It is not a bad product, but was simply not something I needed. Please keep this in mind when reading my review. I really enjoyed this product. I have found that most of the facial care products by The Body Shop tend to be very yellow or brown in their undertone. This product, however, comes in a range of colors to suit pink toned skin. The product provided even and light coverage that was buildable. The brush itself is actually usable, which is a nice change from what you normally get with a compact. The powder had little smell. I found, however, that it really settled into the skin and didn’t last very long. It would take a lot of product to provide even moderate coverage. I do not have particularly oily skin, so this was surprising to me. Perhaps this would be better used to set a liquid foundation than used on its own.

I found this product to be very brown in color. I know it is supposed to be a bronzing gel, but it turned my skin too copper colored. I find this to be true of most of the products in the bronze line from The Body Shop. They seem to neglect those of us with pink undertones. Besides issues with color of the product, I found that it didn’t really give very good coverage. It was a bit splotchy and at times was a bit difficult to get even and smooth coverage. The product had virtually no scent. Nor was it too shiny or shimmery for use. I think that if you are someone who has a more yellow or olive skin tone and is looking for a darker look, this would be a good product for you. However if you have pink or fair skin, this would not give a particularly natural look.

Let me begin by saying that I really love this product, but you have to get used to the texture. It is really milky, but almost feels like a gel on the skin. It skins in, but doesn't plump up skin like most lotions do. The scent is lovely and is true to the line. I feel like sometimes this leaves my skin feeling moisturized and sometimes it doesn't. I think it is best for summer when you want something lighter. It really doesn't work at all in the winter when my skin is really dry, however. That being said, the product has lasted me for over a year without the fragrance turning. That being said, the product has lasted me for over a year without the fragrance turning. It is a nice alternative to body butters and traditional lotions. It is really something I would try in store first to see if you like the texture.
