Filling in my eyebrows is a must for me whenever I go out and I have tried MANY products/brands, trying to match my eyebrows (I am Asian). Unfortunately, the products I have used are usually too red or too dark. I finally bought the Shisedo eyebrow pencil in Natural Black and I have my natural eyebrows back! It also stays on for most of the day and I don't have to use a lot of product since it goes on smoothly. Love it and will continue to use it.

I enjoy trying new makeup but I keep coming back to Everyday Minerals powder foundation for several reasons: 1. They have a broad range shades & undertones to select from and they offer samples before you commit to buy a full size. 2. The coverage is buildable but light & natural looking. 3. It does not make my acne worse. 4. It can multi-task as a concealer using a concealer brush to concentrate the pigment. 5. The price is very reasonable compared to other mineral foundation brands. 6. The ingredients used are non-irritating (after some research I learned that the ingredient bismuth oxychloride in some mineral foundation brands can be irritating and make acne worse which I noticed with my skin when I used other brands). My only minor complaint is that it's a bit difficult to get the product out of the sifter since the jar is fully packed with product, so not necessarily a negative and it does get easier for the powder to come out as I use more product. Also I never have to deal with finding powder all over the jar when I open it since I really have to tap the jar for the powder to come out.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores
Pore clarifiying & oil de-slicking mask
I have used Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask since high school and it has always helped my oily & acne prone skin. It cleans out the pores and makes my skin feel less oily after use. It also will draw any whiteheads to the surface so I will use it overnight to spot treat but I make sure it is completely dry before going to bed. I like that it doesn't crack and flake as it dries although I do have to use a face cloth when I rinse to remove the mask. I do find myself using this mask less frequently as I have gotten older since it is very purifying and can dry out my skin, but when my skin gets very oily or starts to break out, this mask definitely helps with clearing my skin.

I purchased the waterproof formula and was excited to try it especially with the cute packaging. While it does build volume and stays put all day, it begins to clump when I apply more than 2-3 coats. The wand itself is very flexible and it tapers so I can use the tip to get to my outer lashes. I will continue to use this mascara until it runs out but will probably try another to get volume without the clumps.

After trying many facial sunscreens designed for oily and acne prone skin and not having much luck, I finally found EltaMD UV Clear. It is extremely lightweight, doesn't smell and goes on clear, so it doesn't feel like I have a heavy sunscreen on especially on hot summer days. It contains the ingredients niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid which help with calming acne, moisturizing and keeping pores clear. It doesn't control oil but I feel it has significantly helped with reducing my acne breakouts especially during the summer. This is an absolute must have in my skin care regime!

CosMedix Clarity Acne Serum has definitely helped keep my oily, acne-prone skin manageable and clear. Although no product will entirely get rid of acne this product contains MANY acne fighting ingredients that are effective but not harsh to my skin- no serious flaking or redness. It does have a slightly tacky texture and a medicinal smell (hey it's not meant to be perfume) but both fade after a short amount of time. It almost surprises me why this product isn't more well marketed but then again I am sure CosMedix doesn't have to since the product speaks for itself.

I have oily, acne prone skin and use Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser after washing my face with a different product since this is not really a cleanser. It has a thick, tacky texture so it doesn't foam or glide easily on your face. And it won't do much as far as removing makeup or impurities on your face. It does warm up but only for a second and the intensity of the warmth depends on the temperature of water used to dampen your face. Sometimes I feel the cleanser warming up and sometimes nothing. The best use I found for Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser is to use it before applying a mask to help open up the pores.

Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa Look Ma, New Hands Softening Hand Lotion with Paraffin
Soft, moisturized hands
My hands dry out during the winter to the point where my palms are flaky and the skin around my cuticles crack open. When I use Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa Look Ma New Hands lotion at night my hands are instantly moisturized and feel a thousand times softer. Like all creams I have to use it regularly to maintain the results but since it is a thick cream I usually only use it before bed. After doing housework during the day my hands do get dry again but definitely not as severe as they used to be before I purchased Look Ma New Hands.

Mascara is a product that is a must for my thin, straight lashes and Maybelline's Lash Discovery makes them fuller and defined. The brush is mini which has several benefits: 1) allows me to apply several coats of mascara without clumping 2) separates my lashes while making them fuller 3) allows me to get to the tiny lashes at the outer corner of my eyes without making a huge mess 4) is perfect to use on your lower lashes. I always find myself coming back to this mascara after trying others. My only complaint is that even for a waterproof mascara it does smudge during the day but probably because I have oily eyelids.

When I first used Maybelline's Full and Soft waterproof mascara it gave my lashes a lot of volume. However the mascara wand is "fluffy" so while you get full lashes, the wand doesn't help you separate them so you might end up with clumped lashes if applying more than one coat. Also the mascara smudged during the day for me- I ended up with black marks by my upper and lower lashes, maybe because I have oily eyelids.
