Oral-B ProfessionalCare SmartSeries 4000 Electric Toothbrush
Oral-B ProfessionalCare SmartSeries 4000 Electric Toothbrush
I have always wanted an electric toothbrush, it meant that I was really an adult. I was fortunate enough to receive it as a gift, which was very practical because I use it every day and I love it. My teeth look super white and I feel that it does a much better job than a manual brush. It has three different settings/speeds which are normal, sensitive, and whitening. They are all pretty similar and I have tried all three settings. It comes with a travel case to store it in which is very convenient. I am impressed with the battery life as it seems to last a long time. I usually go about two weeks without charging it and I use it two sometimes three times a day. The package says that you can leave it on the charger to keep it fully charged but I find that is unnecessary. It not only wastes electricity but it is actually bad for the battery to always remain charged. The best way to extend battery life is to fully charge it and to let it fully die out. There is a beeping sound and red lights that will flash when the battery is dying and it takes about 12 hours to fully recharge. This was one of the best presents that I ever received and I would definitely recommend this toothbrush to anyone. The brand has been around for a long time and everyone else that I know who has this toothbrush loves it.

While I am not a huge fan of flossing, I know the benefits and how important it is to take good care of your teeth. I keep this floss in my bathroom and my purse and I have had great checkups at the dentist and they always tell me that they can tell that I floss. I am not sure if this brand is that fantastic, I'm pretty sure that most flosses are similar but I am going to give it 8 stars because of the positive feedback that my dentist gave me. It lasts a long time, is reasonably priced, and you can find it at almost any store. I will definitely be buying this product again.

This brush is another one of my essentials because it blends so well. I can make the V-point, do a well-blended smoky eye, or just blend several colors all over. It has short dense bristles and with proper care will last a long time. I like that it is multifunctional. It works well with any type of look that I am going for and I love that!

Avon has been around for a long time and I am often pleasantly surprised with some of their "underground" products. I am pleased to say that this is one of their cult classics, but I am also sad to say that it is discontinued. It comes in a small bottle and I am glad that my mom sold Avon so I was able to get large quantities. The scent is fresh and I love the multitasking aspect of this product. It can be used as both a mask and a cleanser. I would leave a dab on large pimples overnight and they would be noticeably smaller the next morning. Leaving it on as a mask allows the botanical ingredients to penetrate and soothe your skin. It washes away dirt, makeup, and oil without overly drying or stripping skin of moisture. I wish that I could buy this product again. It did not entirely clear up my skin but I definitely noticed when I was not using it, as it was one of the only things that could keep my skin under control. If Avon brought this product back, I would definitely buy it again.

I had nothing to lose but tangles when I decided to try this comb, as my mom has been an Avon lady for 25 years and buys more than she sells, often to my benefit. I have long, waist length hair and combing it out is a mission in itself. I often comb conditioner through my hair in the shower, as it is the only way to make it somewhat manageable. This comb has wide teeth which are particularly effective at removing tangles. Remember to start at the bottom and work your way up and also work in sections. Rome wasn't built in a day and if you have tangles at all like mine, it is going to take awhile to remove them. I like to keep this comb in my beach bag so when I am by the pool or the ocean I remember to comb out the knots, without crying like a baby. I would recommend this comb if you have really tangled hair and a lot of patience.

I decided to try this product because I am an avid sunscreen applier and I always look forward to trying my next facial sunscreen. I have also suffered from acne scars for the majority of my life so anything that claims to even tone is particularly exciting for me. This product reminds me of the Aveeno daily moisturizer that also claims to even tone. I think the active ingredient in this product is mushroom. The bottle was small but around $12 at Walmart, which I guess is average for a facial sunscreen. The scent was somewhat unforgiving, I was not a fan of it. I used a small pea sized amount and rubbed it into my skin. Nothing amazing happened instantly and after finishing the bottle I did not really notice an improvement in my skin tone. While it did moisturize my skin, it is so oily anyway that my skin probably did not benefit from it as another person with normal or dry skin would. After this I tried the beauty balms meant for oily skin and while they are not ideal either, I do appreciate the coverage that they offer while treating my skin. I would not buy this specific product again but I applaud their efforts.

I go through phases where I consistently use toner, especially during the summers. The problem is that my oily skin produces more oil when I use a toner with alcohol to remove the oil. This toner has about 21% alcohol which is a pretty high amount. I liked the fact that this product supposedly helped with acne scars as I am definitely marked and looking to get rid of them. The bottle is a pretty decent size and it was around $8 at Walmart. It has salicylic acid as an active ingredient which is supposed to exfoliate dead skin and be particularly helpful with acne. I washed my face as usual and applied this with a cotton ball. It definitely removed dirt and oil, along with most of the moisture that was in my skin. I started using this twice a day but it became too drying so I dwindled down to once a day and that was much better. It felt like it left my skin clean and removed all of the deep down oil that permeates itself in my pores throughout the day. The smell was strong, it had a pure alcohol smell. I used the entire bottle hoping that it would have some effect on my acne scars but I was sadly disappointed. Perhaps it would be better as a body toner for chest and back acne, because it seems to be too drying. I have extremely oily skin and if it is too oily for me, I am not sure who could use this. If you have normal skin or dry skin this product probably would not work for you. I would not buy this product again.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub
I have always been a fan of Neutrogena products and I especially love those geared toward acne, as I have suffered from it/dealt with it for the majority of my life. I will literally try anything in hopes of clearing up my cystic acne. The size of the bottle is on the smaller side but it is not incredibly expensive and can be purchased at most mass retailers. It has small textured beads that are supposed to exfoliate skin and my skin did feel incredibly soft after using it. The scent is nice too, fresh and smells kind of fruity. It did not clear up my acne, but nothing else has including multiple prescription products so maybe my expectations were exceptionally high. I ended up using the rest of it as a body scrub because it was not effective on my face at all.

Neutrogena Gentle Oil-Free Liquid Eye Makeup Remover for Waterproof Mascara
Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I often wear heavy eye makeup including false eyelashes and I hate it when I wash my face and my eye makeup smears all over my face, I look like a busted raccoon, The bottle is small so you can travel with it and it is affordable and easy to find. This product does a great job of removing eye makeup thoroughly. It is gentle and works quickly. You apply it with a cotton ball and hold it over your eyes and it easily dissolves stubborn eye makeup. Just be sure to rinse well so it doesn't leave a residue. I would definitely use this product again.

I have been wearing this blush for years. It comes in shimmer and matte tones and I prefer to switch off. The powder consistency is light but you can layer if you prefer a more "wow" look. My favorite colors are Peachykeen which reminds me of a very popular NARS blush, fleur power, and desert rose. I have very oily skin so although I blot throughout the day, I would definitely need a touch up for the evening. They are reasonably priced and come in a huge variety of colors. I have been using them for years and will continue to do so.
