  • Jergens Skin Firming Toning Moisturizer

I'm skeptical about firming creams in general. There isn't much you can do in terms of applying lotions or creams to tone your skin. It's all about genetics and the overall health and condition of your skin anwyay. But it is a great moisturizer that sort of plumps the skin and makes it appear firmer if you use it a lot, but don't expect miracles.

  • Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer

I use the darkest shade available because my natural skin color is already at about an NC40. Gave me an even boost of healthy color, a literal "glow". Took about 3 days. The first time I used it, I applied it in the morning and by noon at work, the chemical smell was sort of overwhelming and was bothering me. Now I used the lotion before bed and either shower it off in the morning or layer a regular moisturizer on top of it. The smell is pretty much standard for most DHA self-tanning products, but it's just a small price to pay for healthy skin without sun damage. I love it!

  • Jergens Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer

Definitely up there in terms of value. You could spend so much more at Sephora buying another brand, but why do that when you can go into CVS and pick this lotion up? Gives the tan that it promises. Good color, not orange at all. Smell is there of course, as it is with all self-tanners, but it's minimal and is okay if you apply it at night and shower off in the morning. Does nothing for "firming" though.

  • Neutrogena Build-a-Tan Gradual Sunless Tanning Face SPF 15

I know avoiding the smell of the DHA is pretty much unavoidable in ANY self-tanning product, but this one is especially smelly. Best to apply a touch of it before bed so you can avoid the peak of the stinkiness, which is about 3 hours post-application. I would be willing to go through all this trouble if it gave good color, but sadly, the tan it gives is unnatural and more orange than other drug store brands. Stick with Jergens.

  • Clinique Superdefense Triple Action Moisturizer SPF 25

I'm a big fan of Clinique skin care products. They've been around for a while and so many women swear by their products, so I trust them. This is a great moisturizer for those who are enthusiastic about protecting their skin from the dangers of the sun. I have only recently begun to religiously apply sunscreen everyday, after realizing how unforgiving your skin might be after a few years of not using sunscreen! This product works perfectly to help me do just that, while softening the texture of my skin and making it feel healthier overall. I am combination oily, so it takes about ten minutes to soak into my skin in the morning before I can apply makeup, but it is well worth the wait. It leaves my skin looking supple, slight dewy, and luminious. Not greasy at all. I love it. Thanks, Clinique!

    Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

Doesn't take off makeup very well

May want to use a makeup remover before washing your face with this. I've used it alone and picked up traces of foundation on the cotton when I wiped with a toner afterwards! Isn't great at removing makeup, but pretty good for a quick morning wash.

  • Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

I got a little sample packet and I'm hooked! The granules in this are ultra fine. Gentle enough to not tear up your face for the sake of exfoliation, but tough enough that it feels effective and really leaves your skin more radiant and smooth. I LOVE IT!

  • St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

I used to use this excessively (3 or 4 times a week) when I was a teenager. Looking back, I wonder what was going through my mind! It is way too rough to be using that often, especially for the delicate skin on your face. I find that the granules are a little too big for my liking, this would be better as a body exfoliator. It would make sense to use finer granules on your face.

  • Citre Shine Making Waves Curl Booster

Pretty good drug store brand. Works better on coaxing structure for already wavy hair, rather than creating waves on straighter hair. My roomate and I both used it, with very different results. Doesn't really make your hair shiny though, but definitely doesn't leave that awful crunchy texture like a lot of curl gels do.

  • Gillette Venus Original Razor

Makes me wonder how I used those cheapo Bic disposable razors for so many years. Leaves your legs silky smooth! I love them.
