Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner

    Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner

I'm a big fan of Organix products and this one is no exception. It works beautifully, smoothing, moisturizing and keeps my curls looking good. It smells really nice and isn't chock full of ingredients you don't want anywhere near your body. This product line is comparable in price to most other name brands, but is sulfate & paraben free. Also, no animal testing. It's worth the price and can be found at Walmart, Target, and Walgreens at a decent $6.99-$9.99 or so per bottle. You don't have to use a ton of it because it's got higher concentrations of the quality ingredients. You can't go wrong with this stuff, but finding one for your hair type is key. This one just happens to be one of my faves.

    Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil

    Josie Maran Cleansing Oil

I tried this product about a year ago and after a few uses I decided I hated it. Initially I broke out and it took forever to normalize my skin, and naturally I attributed that to brief interlude with this product. A few weeks or so ago I went back to give it a 2nd chance. My skin was starting to get wintery and that drives me insane on my face because between several times a week exfoliation, regular Clarisonic use, and high quality moisturizers, my skin was parched beyond words. The first night I used this before bed. For starters this product smells DIVINE. I would bathe in this scent if I could, it's amazing. Using it this time around was different. My skin seemed to soak up the moisture and even after washing and patting dry, it still sucked up moisturizer as well. Using this a few times a week, in place of my usual cleanser, seems to be better hydrating my skin. I haven't had any breakouts related to use, nor has my skin gotten oily. I'm going to continue using it this winter to see how much improvement I notice and will report back ASAP. In the meantime I think this is a quality product worth trying. A little pricey, but it's no worse than other cleansing oils at the same price point. Also, this is the only cleansing oil I've ever used, so I'm a bit biased.

  • Pond's Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I just bought these and for slightly over $4, they were a steal. They smell nice, and left my skin SO soft and smooth, which has never happened with any make-up removing wipe in history. My only problem with these is that, many hours after removing my make-up, as I was getting ready for bed, I found some make-up still on my face. I wasn't wearing a lot to begin with, and when you don't wear a lot you do expect the wipes to get all of it in one shot. I broke out the Clarisonic and eliminated the problem, which only took me a minute, but these immediately lost some points for not getting every bit off. The following morning there was some slight liner residue under my eyes which happens with even the best make-up removers, especially if you line the upper inner rims. Otherwise, I think these are pretty great and they are definitely going to replace my previous brand.

  • Beyonce Parfums Pulse Summer Edition Eau de Parfum

A previous Beyonce scent left me with a chemical burn on my wrist, so I spritzed this one with caution. It was a little too grapefuit-ish for me to wear (even as a big fan of LaVanila's Vanilla Grapefruit). This one was missing something in a huge way. Thankfully it was a gift & easy to return.

I received this as a gift. First spritz on my wrist gave me a chemical burn, as certain perfumes do. I returned it due to that, but I also couldn't stand the smell. Not every fragrance is for everyone.

  • Perfect Formula Daily Moisture

I received this in my New Beauty Test Tube earlier this week. Normally I use Josie Maran's Argan Oil on my cuticles, but this stuff has converted me. Deeply moisturizing formula for hands and toes. I will definitely be purchasing this when I run out.

  • John Frieda Sheer Blonde Dream Creme instant silkener

This is a good prpduct, whether you're a natural blonde or not, it will help with the styling process and keep your hair smooth. My hair is naturally curly/wavy and I occasionally straighten it with the InStyler. This product makes it easier when I'm blonde. A little goes a long way.

  • Mally City Chick Smokey Eye Kit

Mally City Chick Smokey Eye Kit

Mally nails the smokey eye palette!

I have this palette in Tribeca Taupe (best palette EVER!!) and Canal Street Khaki. I returned two other palettes (Skyscraper and Brownstone) because even the lightest colors were way too dark for me. If you've never used one of these palettes, start with the Taupe. You will NOT be sorry. It makes every eye color pop, provides flawless coverage, and your eye make-up will stay put until you take it off at the end of the day. these palettes are a little pricey, but so are similar palettes that claim to do the same thing. This one out performs them all.

    OPI Sephora by OPI

    Great colors

I have more than my fair share of nail polish, probably hundreds of bottles (it's a sickness, I admit it. LOL.). I've been using these on and off for about two years. The line has some fantastic colors. However, at roughly $9.50 a bottle (is it me, or do the prices on these polishes keep going up?), it's hardly worth purchasing them en masse. I buy one here and there, but the color has to be extremely unique, otherwise I can literally hold most colors up to any drug store brand and not only will the colors match 100%, but the drug store polish will wear just as well and cost between $2 and $4. So, I save these for the occasional must-have color and try not to purchase any that are in bottles with a different name on the label. Also, some of these colors are extremely dark in the bottle, but require three coats to look anywhere near decent. That has been a problem for me with more than one shade and we all know that between a base coat, three coats of color, and top coat, it will take more than ten minutes for all of it to be completely dry. That's the other downside to some of these polish colors. Other than those issues, I really don't see how they are any different in terms of quality from regular OPI polish or the OPI Nicole line. I think Sephora would sell a lot more of these if they dropped the prices a bit and weren't constantly pushing new "collections" on us that are also being released in different names by other brands. Thus far my favorite colors are Opening Night & Break-A-Leg Warmer.

  • Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System

I've read both positive and negative reviews all across the board for this product, but sometimes you have to try something out for yourself and see how it performs for you. Like a few other reviewers, I had to make sure the tube of fibers was supposed to be dry before using it. Several people got back to me about it via Sephora's web-site to tell me that yes, it's supposed to be dry and one person likened it to dryer lint. Does that sound like something you want near your eyes?! My allergies reacted to the statement alone!! I purposely tried this product out on a day when I had absolutely no make-up on. I didn't want to ruin a full face or even just my eyes if this was a product I couldn't use. For starters, I like the mascara itself. It's labeled a base & top coat, but really, you could wear this mascara all by itself so long as you let it dry thoroughly between coats. The mascara alone works really well. I was VERY hesitant with the fibers. They just plain make me nervous. I applied a light coat to both eyes and then sealed them with the mascara. Was there an immense difference afterwards? Not really. I have long lashes thanks to a product similar to Latisse without the potential side effect of turning my lids brown and/or completely changing my eye color. I wear mascara regardless though because I feel naked without it. Maybe ft I'd used more of the fibers, I would have gotten a dramatic or different effect, but I think the best way to use them is with a light hand, just in case you overdo it. I would not recommend this product at all since it's chock full of parabens. I think it's a neat idea, but could be less messy. If you're going to use it, you want to use it on naturally short to medium length natural lashes, as opposed to lashes that are already long. Also, don't use the fibers on the bottom lashes, just use the mascara, otherwise this is going to be a mess of mass proportions. I do not recommend this for contact lens wearers because of the strong chance of the fibers getting into your eyes during application. And for anyone that DOES decide to purchase and use this, make sure you use a metal lash comb in between each step to really separate your lashes otherwise they can get messy and require the dreaded "do over". Thoroughly clean the lash comb with an antibacterial wipe or spray in between each use. On a whole, I seriously doubt I will ever purchase this product again. Benefit's They're Real mascara does a better job without the hassle and potential for mess.
