    Nature Made Glow

    Unimpressed

This wasn't what I was expecting when Total Beauty asked me to use and review these, but I decided to go ahead and give it a chance any way. The only major change I've noticed is that my skin is incredibly greasy. I don't have oily skin, quite the opposite, so this is not an acceptable side effect of taking these each day. It makes me feel like I have to wash my face every few hours. It's done nothing for my hair or my nails, and I too have noticed the increased nausea. I've actually been taken anti-nausea medicine for the past few days thinking it was related to something else, but after reading some of the other reviews, I now know it's not just me. I would not purchase these, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

Total Beauty sent this product to me to use in exchange for an honest review. Under normal circumstances I'd ask for 30-45 days to test any skincare item, but I was not given enough time on this one. I found this product on the meh side. It's not heavily moisturizing, left some dry patches on my skin (highly noticeable when applying makeup), and I dislike that this one only has SPF 15, as opposed to a higher SPF. SPF 15 isn't high enough, period. The applies smoothly, doesn't have an offensive smell, but it just didn't mesh well with my skin. I didn't notice any changes it claims to provide, but I did notice it was slowly drying my skin out. I couldn't recommend this product to anyone in good conscience. Save your money and buy something with higher SPF that is known to be slightly richer in moisture, unless you have oily skin, and in that case, the SPF 30 version might work for you. I had a second person test this out and while they liked it, they did not feel it was appropriate for aging skin and they agreed that the SPF level is laughable. Overall, this was an unimpressive product from Aveeno. If I had to find something comparable, I'd use and recommend Olay.

  • Nair Wax-Ready Strips for Face and Bikini

Nair Wax-Ready Strips for Face and Bikini

Nair Wax-Ready For Face and Bikini

I only used these for my face, not that there was a lot of hair there to work with. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. Anyone can use these. These are definitely NOT for your eyebrows, so don't try it. It's not precise enough because the strips are too large and would require a lot of annoying trimming to be used in any way. They're sized more for the upper lip, chin, cheeks, etc. I did not, in any way, find these painful. However, they weren't great at removing all of the hair. My face immediately turned bright red, but that went away within 30 minutes or so. No big deal. I was hesitant to use the after-wax wipes because I am doing a skin-care trial at the moment and didn't want potential interactions, I skipped that step and simply used cool water to remove anything that might have remained, but there didn't seem to be anything lingering. I like that these don't have to be heated and are easy to use, but I still needed a tweezer to remove anything coarse. Obviously, I will still be shaping my brows myself too. Due to laser hair removal, there's no need for me to use these on my body, but I'm happy to take the body strips and cut them in half for facial use. Waste not. All in all, decent and not the worst waxing strips I've been subjected to over the years, but I do think some changes could be made to the overall product. My review was sponsored by Total Beauty, who sent me two boxes to use and review.

  • Trojan Lubricants H2O

    Trojan Lubricants H2O

    Trojan Lubricants

These were sent to me to try and review by Total Beauty The bottles are huge. Not what I was expecting. When they said "sample", I expected smaller bottles, if they were even going to be that much. These will definitely last quite some time because I don't feel either of them will be a "go to". I am uncomfortable using these because they have parabens in them. Not everyone else will care, but this is a big issue for me. The upside is hyaluronic acid, but still, parabens need to be omitted. Sensitive Touch is all right. I found it very thin. Closer is a little thicker and overall the better of the two. The smell was a bit medicinal with both of these. I do like that these dispense well, there's no mess, staining, and neither of them are sticky. I definitely rate Closer higher than Sensitive Touch, but combined they get a six.

  • Exposed Skin Care Acne Treatment Kit

I received this kit from Total Beauty to try and review. It didn't arrive with a long enough time period for me to really give it the fairest review possible. I'd need a month of use to really be 100% fair to it. I do think it's a great product if you have hormonal breakouts. The cleanser and Clear Pore Serum worked within a few days at clearing up the breakouts on my chin and jaw line. In fact, my skin hasn't looked this good in a while and I'm impressed. None of these products smell medicinal or gross, There are natural ingredients in all of them. I do wish the kit had come with a moisturizer though because it can be quite drying. Everything in the kit is paraben free. It came with five products and a washcloth. I haven't used the washcloth, and I've only used 3-4 of the products due to time constraints, but the simple fact that this cleared up my skin, did not burn, and isn't making my skin worse is HUGE for me. I don't know if it will still rank eight stars in a month, but for now, it's definitely better than anything else I have used for breakouts.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes Pink Grapefruit

First of all, these average about $6.99 in price. That's relatively common all across the board. While this DID remove pretty much all of my make-up, it burned my face SO bad that the following morning, a spot on the left side of my face was red, blotchy, and started peeling in the most disgusting manner possible. I have good skin, but apparently these are truly meant for people with acne all over their face as opposed to some hormonal breakouts or minimal breakouts. I'm very disappointed in this one. In fact, I will probably give them away because I am not risking burning my face again. I don't know that I'll ever purchase a Neutrogena product again!

  • Dove go sleeveless Nourished Beauty Deodorant

I won a sample of this from Poshly. Free deodorant/anti-perspirant is not, in and of itself, a bad thing. In fact, it saved me the cost of buying it myself. This is very moisturizing, that much I can say. As for performance level, I have used far better from Dove on a whole. It smells nice, and is heavy on the moisture side of things for smoothness. We are all different, we all sweat differently. This did nothing at all in terms of combating odor (any deodorant should last longer than 2-4 hours!), but it did keep me extremely dry.

Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream Intensive Creamy Oil

If it were possible to completely bathe in a product, this might very well be my choice. I found this in Sephora and kept going back to it. It smells amazing and moisturizes beautifully. I think the price is a bit high, but even still, I'd buy it 2 tubes at a time. Alas, others must feel the same way I do because it was sold out. This is great on hands and cuticles and makes late Fall skin feel smooth and healthy. As soon as it is back in stock, I am going to get some for the super dry, Winter months. I only wish this came in a bigger size.

  • Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Anti-Blemish Daily Cleanser

This is a good Walmart, Target, pharmacy, or grocery store find. It's affordable and works well to keep your skin clean and smooth. I like this the most during the winter months because it's doesn't leave my skin tight or dried out. It's a good blend of cleansing, moisturizing, and keeps breakouts from becoming huge issues. It does help clear your skin up, but you also need to drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet. Skin care can only do so much.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Parfum

    Daisy by Marc Jacobs

This is one of the nicest fragrances on the higher end of the spectrum. It just plain makes me smile. I'm going to purchase a rollerball as soon as possible and then go for the big bottle. There is something very pretty about this scent and I love how nicely the notes seem to sync up.
