I have used brushes to apply my foundation ever since a Clinique consultant used one on me at the mall. I like to dampen the brush before putting the makeup on it because it gives me a nice, dewy wash of coverage. I like to use this brush for that, as it gives good, even coverage.

I was excited that I had received a trial sized version of this mascara in a sample gift set from the Clinique counter at the mall, and while I have had good results with Clinique mascaras that I have used in the past, I cannot say that this one is a keeper. My first impression of it was that I really love the glamorous, clean look of the package-- the white with silver is so classy looking, and you know right away whenyou see it that you are using a Clinique product. But when I opened it, I was immediately hit with a strange, medicinal odor from the product. Deciding to try it anyway, I took a look at the brush and saw that it was not really a brush at all, but more of a very short comb. Unfortunately, I didn't like how it performed, as it deposited too much of the mascara on my lashes, even though I wiped the applicator down with a tissue twice before putting it on to my lashes. The results that I got upon applying it to my lashes were very clumpy and streaky, and there was really no way to get definition through the lasheswith the brush that comes in it. The formula is way too wet in my opinion; I did not feel like it was ever going to dry. I did really like the color of it, though-- the black was very rich and deep, and that is something that I am particularly picky about. But the color on its own is not enough to get me to use this mascara again. it was just too messy and the comb-type brush just seemed like a useless gimmick. The formula on its own might actually be okay, and I intend to try it with a different, traditional brush, to see if I can make some use out of it. Otherwise, I will probably just throw this one away.

I have felt like Aveda products are much more hype than they are substance. I like to use a paddle brush when I blow dry so I can pull my hair taut to get it smoother, as well as dry large portions of hair at once, but I didn't think that this brush was superior to other, comparable brushes that cost much less. I liked that it had natural bristles and was made of wood, but you don't have to pay the Aveda price tag to get that. I didn't think it was really worth it.

I did not find this comb to be any more effective than a comb that costs a nickel. it is the same cheap plastic and didn't get any benefits that would justify the high price.

I love almost every product that the body shop puts out, and I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years. I usually don't buy my makeup there, but I did have the opportunity to try their shimmer eyeshadow. I thought it was a very nice product, with a good variety of shades. The shimmer had a beautiful sheen to it, but it stayed put, unlike so may shimmer shadows that spread all over the eye area. I don't use a lot of shimmer in my normal makeup routine, but I thought this was still very nice. However, it would take a lot for me to use this, just because it was so incredibly expensive. If you have the money I think that it's great, but there are many cheaper eyeshadows that provide comparable results, so I just couldn't justify spending the money on this particular one.

You know, I just have never found that L'oreal eyeshadows were of good quality. I have always found that the packaging compact is very cheaply made and breaks easily, and that the applicators that they include with the makeup are completely worthless. This new product is no exception. The compact was cheap and the hinge flimsy, and I threw out the shadow applicator right away, as I saw that it would never be of any real use. Then, I found that the shadow was chalky. The color seemed very washed out and the shadow didn't go own smoothly. It was dry and crumbly. I really didn't like anything at all about this makeup, and I do not feel that L'oreal is worth the high prices that they charge. This was no better than any generic makeup product. I would not use it again and I do not recommend it. Loreal just doesn't make products of high enough quality to justify how much money they charge.

This concealer doesn't have a very good variety of shades. They all look pretty unnatural, and the concealer goes on very chalky and dry. it doesn't blend well, so it just sits on top of skin, making things you're trying to conceal actually more noticeable. I was not a fan of this product at all.

I am usually a buyer of much cheaper shaving products, as I just don't feel like investing a lot of my money in products for a task that I don't need to do that often and have never been able to tell much a difference in the results. I did try this one though, because some of the scents sounded pretty. However, when I used it I found that the scent evaporated almost immediately, and the lather did not come out the can smoothly at all. It came out in uneven spurts, and didn't stick to my skin very well at all. I didn't feel like it really provided a protective barrier between my skin and the razor, either. Finally, when I was finished shaving and it came time to rinse, I did not feel like it would rinse cleanly off my skin. It left a sticky film on my legs, yet it didn't seem to impart any moisture at all. It was just sticky. I don't think I would spend the money on this product again, as I was pretty dissatisfied with it. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your money and go with a cheaper shaving product, as the fancy name and price just don't make a big enough difference.

I have unbelievably sensitive skin, and have searched high and low for a face powder that wouldn't irritate it. I finally spotted this in the drugstore and since it was a low price, figured I'd give it a try. I really liked that the shade pallette had a wide array of colors, and I selected one that actually matched my skin. I have been using this for weeks now, and am very happy with it. I like to apply it with a big powder brush. If I apply it to spots with a concealer brush that works well too, so I can double my product usage. This powder covers well and reduces shine, and seems to blend well into the skin. It evens skin tone well and wears very light-- I usually forget that I am wearing makeup at all, which is especially nice since I like in a very warm and humid climate. Best of all, it doesn't irritate my skin or cause me to break out. The powder in the compact is very durable as well. All in all, I'd say it was a good find and I will probably buy it again. It is certainly a step up from similar drugstore powders, but I do wish that it lasted a bit longer. I hate having to reapply makeup throughout the day, but by 3 PM, it definitely needs some touching up. Other than that, though, I really recommend this powder, particularly to those who have sensitive skin like mine.

This body scrub is definitely not the best thing that the Body Shop has made. I am usually a huge fan of their products, but this one misses the mark. I am lifelong fan of their coconut scent, but it just isn't as intense in the body scrub as it is in their other products. The consistency of the scrub is quite gritty-- I would have liked for the scrubbing beads to be smoother and less irritating for my skin. The cream that is the base of the product is pretty nice, but a little greasier than I would have liked. It also left a filmy residue on my skin that I didn't really like either. I usually love the body shop products, but this one is definitely not my favorite.
