Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder: Not What I Expected
I pined over this powder when it first came out, but when I finally got it, I was so unimpressed that it sat in my drawer until I recently started Project 10 Pan. I love PF products and when I saw this "translucent" correcting powder, I was obsessed. Unfortunately, this powder is NOT translucent, nor do I feel it color corrects. For me, this powder is practically pure WHITE and remains so even after settling on my face. As usual with PF, this powder lasts all day long without shifting or creasing and doesn't look dry or cakey, but I've definitely been having to use it over a darker foundation. I also find that this particular product is not very finely milled. It's very chalky and the powder gets everywhere when I dip my brush in it. It's overall just difficult to use. Since I've been trying to use up the products in my P10P box, I've been trying to use this as my setting powder, but it's been too difficult to work with. Again, I love PF, but I just can't enjoy this powder the way I wanted to. It's white, chalky, and messy, not a translucent, color correcting finishing powder. I give it a 5/10. While it isn't what it should be, at least it still performs like a PF product while you're wearing it. xx

I saw these in Ulta and got excited to find these in "Twilight (750)" and "Va Va Va Bloom 07 (725)". They were all beautiful and I needed some of the colors in them. I'd never tried Revlon's creme shadows before. The main problem for me is my insanely oily eyelids. These fade and crease on me within a matter of minutes. They improved a bit when I used a good primer, but they still fade pretty badly. The texture of these is very creamy and the packaging is great, though both of the packages were different despite being the same product. "Twilight" has the shadows upside-down in the case and the other side has a mirror. It is also thinner than the "Va Va Va Bloom" case, which has no mirror and the shadows face upwards. But they are sturdy and will not break easily. I don't like these for their poor color payoff but they are good for highlighting and with a normal pressed shadow I suppose. I'd recommend this to someone who has no problems with oily lids. I have it really bad, so there's no hope for me. The last thing I don't really care for is that it is fingertip application. It's not something I want to really dip my brush into and it doesn't come with one, so I just wash my hands before and after, and sometimes during, applying. I liked the concept of these but I will not repurchase these.

I give this product a 3 because it seemed to be working the first couple tries, but it never got rid of the last bit of hair on my legs, leaving an annoying, prickly stubble. It's very drying and when I went to test it on my upper lip and arm pits, it didn't work well and I made the mistake of using it on my face, where it left a rash. I wouldn't buy this product again. Too harsh, big a waste of money.

I enjoy MAC lip pencils because they are so precise and long lasting and they're not as soft as other liners I've used, (which I feel helps them last longer on me). The packaging is also very nice and I haven't had problems with the caps pushing against the product. These are very well worth the price and match a lot of MAC's Lipsticks.

Mary Kay has really impressed me with their Velocity line. The moisturizer does not leave skin feeling oily, but does not dry it out. It feels cool and refreshed and is a great follow-up to the Velocity cleanser. Another great thing about this is that it's perfect for moisturizing before makeup. It doesn't feel like it's clogging pores, making it super light and extra refreshing. For thicker skin, one might opt for something heavier, however, this is super light and refreshing and can be reapplied for extra hydration. Great for after a shower or before sleeping.

My skin is unpredictable and thick and for a while, I had problems around my nose and under my lips, where I would get a lot of dry skin. Our Mary Kay saleswoman suggested I try the Oil-Free Hydrating Gel, and I was hooked. It was perfect for my skin and left me feeling hydrated and smooth. The smell is a little strange at first, but you can't smell it once it's on your skin. Something I love about Mary Kay products is you don't have to use very much at all and one jar lasts for a long time. I don't recomend this to everybody though. This is best for someone with medium to thick skin.

I bought a holiday set of 5 mini (0.09oz) pigments ("Reflects Transparent Teal", "Kitschmas", "Fuchsia", "Grape", and "Deep Blue Green") and I LOVE them. These stay on incredibly well (I've napped in them and nothing rubbed off). The pigment is INTENSE, so you only need a little bit at a time. These are also easy to blend but won't move around on you or rub off. I also love the packaging because the cap allows you to easily control how much product you put on your brush. I can't say enough about these. They are amazing and well worth the money.

I bought this in "510", which appears to be a cherry red with sparkle flecks. When I first put it on, I was turned off by the lack precision. I can't say I was fond of the plastic applicator. At the time, it stained really badly too, giving the rims of my lips an I-just-ate-an-orange-popsicle look when it faded. It doesn't have that effect anymore, however. I've also tried putting this over a lipstick and it got extremely gummy and gross. This also happens if you wear it without lipstick for too long. The color is intense and effective for a gloss, but is not the same shade on your skin. This bright cherry red comes out a light pink fuschia on me. The texture is moisturizing, but it's also very slippery and eventually dries sticky. I would not recommend this gloss. There are much better products out there.

All of my Lancome products were gifts, so I did not have to purchase this, and I wouldn't anyway. This is not a long lasting or vibrant lipstick. I have "Provocative" which is a sparkling plum in the tube, but after a half hour actually turns to a fuschia rose color on my lips and proceeds to fade until it looks like I had just lined the edge of my lips with it. This lipstick left my lips a little dried out and ALL the sparkles are left behind. Really not good. Unless you plan to primp every hour or so, don't bother with this lipstick. Not the worst, but definitely not worth the money.

This is another product I've used for years. For my neutral cheek color, I use "05 Chestnut Blush", which gives my cheeks a natural pink glow. This is finely ground and won't clog the pores. I usually put this on directly over Clinique's Perfectly Real powder foundation and just layer a powder bronzer over that and the color stays in place. It looks super natural and makes me glow. You also get a lot for your money, so this will last you a long time.
