Make Up For Ever HD Microfinishing Powder

Pretty good with the HD Foundation

This came in a kit with the foundation and I have to say, I really like this setting powder. Of course I was able to really see how it worked in my photo's. It sets my foundation and makes my skin look literally flawless in pictures. And I use very little foundation so in person it looks like I just have powder on. It's equivalent to Mally's poreless finishing powder and they both do the job in looking flawless. I'm not sure how much this is on it's own, but the bottle is a bit small, so you're not able to swirl the brush inside of it. The brush that came with it is Marvelous and I really love how the soft texture and bristles brush against my sensitive skin. I'm thinking though for the price, Mally may be a better buy if you're on a budget.

  • Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream SPF 15

I have a fairly universal skin tone and I tan easily, but I'm naturally very fair skinned, with pink undertones. I've been using BB creams for years, it's an Asian thing, but now seems to be a Huge FAD in the states. For those who are new to the BB scene, in Asian especially the Korean brands,t hey tend to be on the fair side that have a bleach quality for the skin. I was looking for something for the spring & summer season's when I get more color and since this was the first on the market, I figured why not try it. Of course I didn't believe the so called great reviews because they were obviously not veteran BB cream users. This cost me about $14.99 which I could've spent on starbucks instead. The color went on unevenly, and it made my skin look ruff or like I got a horrible self tan on my face. It's blotchy and watery. This is by far in my top 5 worst products Ever buying. I've tried using it for other things and even mixing it, to not fell like I've wasted money. Cost doesn't bother me if it's worth it, but in this case, no matter how low the price is, I feel so gypped.

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream

For the Price and quality Great!

Okay So I have the benefit of having know and used BB creams long before they hit the states. Now it seems to be the New FAD! Weird because Asian have been using this, for a Long time and it's not expensive for good quality. Since I have several brands from Korea that I use during the winter when my skin is back to being fair, I decided to try both Garnier and Maybelline. It was more expensive than my Korean brands, but they had more of a tint for summer time. Instead of my having to mix party BB cream/part tinted moisturizer. I wanted to skip a step. This was about $10 from target back in May '12, and I must say after Garnier's major disappointment, this proved to be worth the buy! It's not as thick and more on a water based liquid, but the very subtle tint and color was fantastic. It blended wonderfully with my tan and I was able to use it in Mexico for our trip. It smooths on great and is perfect for the spring and if you don't sweat too much, it's great for summer too. With all the other expensive BB bandwagon's this is a much better buy. Anyone who's familiar with BB creams and been using them for years, would/should know that BB creams were never ridiculously over priced and SHOULD not be!

  • Too Faced Primed & Poreless Primer

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Primer

Great primer, but not for the price & no SPF

So I got this primer, because well it was included with my b-day gifts my friend was getting me. The primer part does it's job and smooths out your skin, even if you don't use foundation. My disappointment is that it doesn't seem to have an spf especially for the price they sell it for. Honestly the Maybellin BB cream works almost just as good and much cheaper. If you don't mind over paying for this primer you'll be happy, but with so much other lest costing and spf products out there, why would you no want to save money. Primer part is a 10 Stars, but price and no spf, 3, so 6 stars was the medium for me.

  • Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45

Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45

Well it doesn't feel Greasy & cheaper than Eminence

So I give it a little higher than I like because my girls both have a brush of their own. They hate the greasy feeling of the lotion though I force them to wear both, but they love the powder. It feels like makeup and is so much easier to apply. This was on sale at my spa, so I bought like 4 of them. I use this as a back up, but the bristles on the brush and pretty ruff. Though for only $30 a pop as opposed to Eminence, which I lOVE at over $50, I would say for kids, it's better to go with PTR. It does last a while and is good in sealing in makeup or or bb creams. If you have a hard time getting kids to use Sublock, this is a great alternative than always having to constantly nag them and make sure they protect their skin. I do have to say that it works great on your hands. I tried using it on my decolletage, but I felt itchy and rash like after trying it several times.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Great product and Buy for Photoshoots

So I got this as a gift from my girlfriend when she took me b-day shopping at sephora's. I was looking for makeup to use in my photo shoots and on my daughter's when we take pics. This product is FANTASTIC! I use only a little and it goes a long ways. I don't even need concealer, I just use the microfinish powder that came with it. My skin looks soo flawless like when I was 21 again and never used foundation. My bottle has lasted me 7 months, but I use very little, not to mention only wear makeup for shoots or pics maybe a few times a month. It's a little in higher price range, more than bare minerals, but also Much better! I never cared for minerals though I wanted too. This is one of my top 2 favorite foundations and by far my first pick for any photo ops you have coming up. Worth the buy, for pictures that last for years!

  • Yes To Cucumbers Eye Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel

Yes To Cucumbers Eye Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel

Waste of money on a water Based product!

Last year I got a daily deal for 50% off, so I decided to get the whole cucumber kit as well as Blueberry. This was Horrible! It felt like just water on my eyes. I tried making use and using it on my face and chest, but it did absolutely NOTHING!. In fact it was kind of flaking and peeling off of my eyes, like I put a mask on. I contacted the company and asked about it, but they just sent me a complementary whole kit of Everything in this product line. I ended up giving the extra away. I somehow got another one, thinking the cucumber would help with my eyes puffing up after having juviderm, but it did NOthing again. Other products work much better, in fact stick to Tea bags and the Real cucumbers if you want your money's worth as well as saving money, time and effort.

  • Paula's Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator

I like this product, though I can't say I can see any difference. I don't really have wrinkles yet, except when I smile you see 2 lines, but they go away when I stop smiling. This is a very low cost product and it does feel good after using it over the super antioxidant serum. For the price I do like it, but I haven't seen any improvement in my skin. I'm wondering if I'm allergic or certain resist products don't agree with my skin, but I'm hanging in their. I don't have sunspots, breakout or any skin problems aside from getting really dry during winter times. My skin is more on my Asian side, though it's starting to feel like my caucasian is making a breakthrough and terrorizing my once oily skin. The resist producst are geared toward all skin types, but if you get dry like myself or like to over do it on cocktails every now and then, You should try her Very dry or sensitive line. Now that it's winter, I think I need more moisture barrier based products. This would be good for spring or summer time.

  • Paula's Choice RESIST Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser

Now for the price, the texture and the feel on my skin, I absolutely LOVE this cleanser! It's great for my sesitive skin and does the job WELL, I hardly have to use any toner after this because it cleanse my skin soft. It doesn't burn and it's kind of like Cetaphil for sensitive skin, but Much better!! This is a really good product and you really can't beat the price on this.

  • Paula's Choice RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 25 & Antioxidants

SO this product is pretty cool with the twist tube, problem is, when you close it, you'll have that extra coming out. I suggest just squeeze it a tad bit and then close it, so you don't waste the extra amount. This is a minor flaw. Now the texture is not too bad and the spf, could be higher for the price, but I always use about 3 different kinds of sunscreen as well as my bb or tinted moisturizers have spf as well. I do thing it is a bit over rated and that Peter Thomas roth works much better or Skinceuticals. I got this in the kit for Resist and it's not exactly my favorite, but for only paying about $100 with a discount everything came out to under $15 a piece, so you really can't beat the price average. If you are looking for a Really good spf than spend the extra 10-15 bucks on Roth, Skinc or La Roche for sure!
