Kevyn Aucoin's sensual skin enhancer is a versitile product that can be used as a foundation, concealer, tinting additive or highlighter. The enhancer comes in a pot and is ultra concentrated so a little goes a long way. Skin enhancer's formulation is rather creamy, heavily pigmented and fairly resistant to sliding. I have tested this product in both extreme humidity, during exercise, running a 10 km race, during a snow storm, and in flight.

CG's original formula is one of the best drug store mascara's available. No flake, smudge or clumps. Great for an every day mascara. Swipe a few extra coats to build volume if you desire! I love the curved brush and slick no clump formula. This mascara has survived a 10km long distance run, pilates class and a few games of outdoor tennis. Great bang for your buck!

This mascara stays put all day and comes off easily with warm water and does not leave a residue or 'panda eyes'. The formula features lash tubes or lash wrapping technology. The formula is heavily pigmented and does all the things a good mascara should do. Better still, KA's curling mascara holds a curl extremely well and curls better than any curling mascara on the market.

Exceptionnel has a similar formula to Cils A Cils - which I love and a really awesome brush that's not for the faint hearted. The brush is the selling point of this mascara and the curl holding formula. The brush features a combination of rows or soft silicon bristles and traditional brush bristles that separate lashes and prevent clumping. Applying the mascara is a dream as the brush handle is weighted beautifully and is very ergonomic. In terms of building and defining lashes, this mascara goes on really beautifully and looks like you have falsies as it's heavily pigmented.

Diorshow, Diorshow, Diorshow. Diorshow rocks. It builds, doesn't flake, smudge or smear and the brush coats every lash easily. Handling the brush is a cinch but learning to maneover such a huge brush can be a challenge for the uninitiated.

Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara utilizes tube technology to last 24 hrs without smearing, smudging, flaking or running. Better still the mascara did not irritate my contact wearing peepers and came off when I washed my face at the end of the day. In terms of formula, like all tube mascaras, there's not much difference. Even for this supposedly curling formula, I found it didn't curl my lashes at all. Elongate, yes, lift and curl, no. So far the only tube type mascara that does this is Kevyn Aucoin's Curling Mascara. To acheive a curling effect I recommend using lash curlers before applying. Another limitation of the formula is that it doesn't build lashes as well as conventional mascara does. 1-2 coats of Curling Power gives a great look but more coats leads to clumps and no volume or length. From experience though, this seems to be a fairly common occurrence for tube mascaras with the exception of Imju Fibre Wig and Kevyn Aucoin Curling mascra. In terms of colour, Curling Power is heavily pigmented and leaves lashes with a slightly glossy finish which is really natural. Unlike heavily pigmented mascaras, Curling Power does not leave a ring of black around the eyes and gives a very clean finish. The brush is ok but not the best. The curved idea, I love, as it does grab lashes and helps to lift them from the root during application. Where the brush fails is the lack or bristles. Unlike Lash Power's brush which has lots for fine alternating bristles in the brush, Curling Power's brush doesn't have the best grip on lashes and is prone to uneven mascara application. What would make it better is if the Curling Power had the same brush as Lash Power in a curved form.

Soft Mink is a shimmery pink that flatters most skin tones. The shimmer is only very subtle and highlights cheekbones and creates a beautiful flush. The pigmentation in the blush is also pretty good for a drugstore cheapie. Honestly, when I picked up this blush I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I'd be comparing it against the likes of Chanel and Nars. Formula wise, the blush does have a makeup kinda smell, I think it's ment to be a rose scent. Not such a fan of the scent. The powder is fairly finely milled and picks up beautifully on a blush or powder brush and is really easy to blend. Considering this property, the blush can be built to various intensities to achieve different effects. What I like about the shade is that it also works as a shimmery eyeshadow. In terms of wear, the blush lasts all day which is really great.
