    Absorption Issues

I have really dry skin, especially on my legs. It's so dry it's almost kind of scaly. I tried using this after every shower for about two weeks and saw no improvement or difference at all. I felt like it just sort of sat on the surface of my skin. I have to say that for me, a thick lotion like cetaphil works quite a bit better. The scent is, but nothing to write home about. Won't be purchasing this one again.

    Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist

    Meh. Unimpressed.

I've got long dark brown hair about 3/4 of the way down my back. I don't dye it, but I do daily damage blowing out and flat ironing- plus I always wait WAY too long to get it trimmed. As a result I deal with a lot of split ends and breakage. Some of the reviews raves about this product, so for the price I thought why not have some fun trying it. It leaves my hair smelling great, but other than that I'm unimpressed. My hair doesn't feel like butter- in fact, it feels nearly the same as it does when I use regular conditioner. I've used the product 4 times and have yet to see any difference in the quality, texture, or appearance of my hair. I won't be buying this as a deep conditioner again, but if for some reason I fell in love with the scent, I can see myself using it as a regular conditioner.

  • Givenchy Amarige Eau de Toilette

This is a very floral scent. I'm not sure how to discribe exactly how it smells dated, but it totally does. It suspect it was initially released in the 80s or early 90s. Not that I think that is neccesarily a bad thing. I love that this is the kind of scent that lingers in the air, it is also unique, if someone in he room is wearing it, I have no doubt about which fragrance it is, I feel that these two qualities make it an excellent signature fragrance. But at 26, this isn't one I could wear every day, it's not musky, but it's not fresh and young either. I suspect this is one I may grow into. Overall, it smells lovely and feminine and I do recommend it.

  • Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick

I really like many Tom's of Maine products, so it pains me to say that this is one of the worst products I have ever used. I tried in Apricot and not only did it do nothing I would call "deodorizing", but it actually made me smell worse. I tried to make this one work about 10 different times, always applying after a shower, and every single time, within about two hours I reeked. This "deodorant" actually made me smell far worse than if I has used nothing at all.

  • Crystal Body Deodorant Wide Stick

I really wanted this to work! I never use it before a full day, because it either isn't very quick to use, or isn't very effective. What in mean by that is if I quickly swipe it under my arms after a shower it's as good as using no deodorant at all. On days off, sometimes I'll take the time to work with it. This means that I use very little water, and work it back and forth under my armpits until I've worked as much crystal onto myself as possible, then if I let the crystal-water mix dry, that seems to work a bit better, but the whole process takes about 10 minutes and it certianly doesn't do anything to tame the sweat after a full day. I've since started using Arm and Hammer Essentials in Fresh, which is quicker and a bit more effective. However, I have yet to find a aluminum free deodorant that I feel comfortable wearing to work or school. In the future I plan I getting a liquid crystal, because the crystal stick works well enough for a day around the house-it just takes so much time to break down the solid and get enough onto myself. So if you're debating between a crystal solid or liquid, I would definitely recommend the liquid.

    Vaseline Jelly Original

    It's Vaseline!

I feel like a tub of Vaseline should be in every home. It's pretty useful; it brings relief when my hands crack in the winter and lotion just stings, it works as both a lip gloss and eye make up remover. I've never used as a shadow primer, but I hear a little bit of it can perform that function as well.

  • Bonne Bell Sponge-On Sparkler

The shimmer is fun! And all the glosses smell so nice! I tend to apply lip gloss in the car, and my husband always notices the wonderful smell when I use these!

    Bonne Bell Gel Bronze

    Lots of Control

I agree that this product is buildable, I feel that I have lots of control over how dark (or light), I want it to appear. I also feel that the color is super natural looking, far more warm brown than orange- also the lack of shimmer is a nice choice to have when it comes to bronzed. I have a NARS pressed powder bronzer too, and I honestly like the look of this gel stain much more. Plus a little goes a long way with me, so the amount in the tube feels generous. It also might be helpful to add that I've been using the darkest color. I have olive undertones, with brown hair, but can get pretty pale. At the height of winter I can give my blond, Casper-like husband a run for his money in the pale department. Which reminds me, I've used this gel bronzer on my legs before and with a little blending with lotion it worked out pretty well and saved me from the stark white legs that appear with the first shorts of summer.

  • Tresemmé Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse

Maybe it's because I have long, heavy, thick hair (halfway down my back), that I didn't see too much of a lift in volume when volume or style hold when using this product. It smells nice enough, isn't stiff or sticky, or leave any kind of flaky residue. But all in all, after a few hours my hair just felt a little bit dirtier than it would normally, and I wash and blow out everyday. After trying this, I'm sticking with spray thermal protector from this line.

    Dial Bar Soap

    Clean and Good for Shaving

I've used the white antibacterial bar soap in the shower on and off for years. I do feel squeaky clean after a good scrub with this soap, and I feel like I can get a closer shave on my legs when I use this, than when I use a body wash.
