Wet n Wild MegaEyes Crème Eyeliner

    Not For Sensitive Eyes

I found this product easy to work with, and for the price, I thought it looked pretty good on my eyes. But the major drawback for me was that it irritated my eyes and the skin around them. I have had reactions to other products, but price isn't necessarily a good indicator- there are ELF products I can wear on my eyes without issue. But this liner made the skin around my eyes scaly and discolored. Just to make sure it really was this specific product I let my skin heal and then tried it again and ended up getting the same results. I agree with the other reviewers that you totally get what you pay for with the brush. I don't think I would reccomend this product to a friend, the experience was just a little too uncomfortable.

  • Calvin Klein Euphoria Eau de Parfum

Calvin Klein Euphoria Eau de Parfum

    Youthful, Yet Complex

The best I can describe Euphoria is that it reminds me of black orchid candles, with notes of amber, but yet isn’t too heavy. My mother wears a few oriental fragrances with those notes in them that I would feel absolutely smothered in, but Euphoria lightens it up a bit with some creamy and fresh berry top notes. As I work for Calvin Klein, I continually rotate through the fragrances and I would say Euphoria is among my favorite. It dries down nicely on me (and I am one to turn perfumes), and I enjoy the way it lingers on my coats. I agree that it is something of a man magnet, this is the only one of our fragrances that I wear that men have stopped to compliment me on, funnily enough women never have. This fragrance is complex enough to be womanly. It isn’t something that I would choose to wear with cowboy boots and a sundress, rather I imagine this one with a sexy black evening dress.

  • L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour

My favorite lipstick is in the L’Oreal Color Riche line. I wear 102 ‘Pucker Up Pink’, and I’d say it’s the only lipstick shade I have ever found that compliments my skin whether I am winter pale, or tanned and wearing bronzer. If you have lighter skin with an olive undertone (I wear W3 in True Match if that helps any), and you are looking for a shade in the pink family that is not too mauve, brown, or fuchsia, I would definitely recommend it. I once accidently purchased 103 ‘Seductive Pink’ and found it too violent of a pink. If you peel back the barcode label it reads, “This product may cause a light, temporary tingling sensation”, which I do experience when I apply it to clean lips. It feels very similar to the tingle you get from a plumping gloss, and I do feel like this lipstick plumps a little bit, just not a dramatically. It also feels nice on my lips, very moisturizing. Others have mentioned the scent, and my shade certainly has one: It actually smells like it has some rose fragrance added. I can smell it when I first open the cap to apply it, but I can’t smell it after it’s on, (not like the BonneBell glosses that you can always smell after application. For the price point I think this is a great product, but there are a few cons: First it doesn’t stay on too long, after two hours of sitting in class, it’s gone. Also, it ends up on my teeth much more easily than other lipsticks I’ve had, perhaps because it is so moisturizing it moves back on my lips easily. I always remove it from behind my lips after application to avoid lipstick teeth. I would absolutely LOVE to find a stain true to this color- It would be the product I could not start my day without, but until then I’ll just have to make do. I recommend this product to someone looking for a lipstick, with the understanding that they will have to re-apply.

  • Cover FX Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer

I feel like you really have to work with this one to get it to look great. Definitely not a concealer for a morning you are running late. I bought this in Light, and after using it three mornings in a row, disliked it so much that I put it aside for a few weeks. I bought it in hopes that I could find something that would cover up my dark circles but not settle into my fine lines (I'm 26). On the first few tries it just made my little lines way more apparent, and I felt like I had to apply a lot to camouflage my dark circles. Then, the other day I was running low on foundation, and decided to try to streach it by spreading a thin layer of the Cover FX over my face before laying down the foundation. I felt like the thin application went on well, and continued to build the coverage around my eyes with VERY thin layers-waiting for dry down between each layer. The super thin layer method worked really well and I'm ready to reincorporate the product into my daily routine. It wears well all day, but I do agree with some of the other reviews that it is a bit drying. All in all this can be a good product if; you have the time to use it right, apply in very thin layers and use a good moisturizer.

  • Physicians Formula CoverToxTen50 Wrinkle Therapy Concealer

I'm light olive skinned, and 26, and this product (in soft yellow) is awful in terms of color and coverage for me. It settles into lines and doesn't camouflage my under eye circles very well. On the other hand, it wears long, and I actually did like the applicator brush, for getting the concealer onto my face, although I still needed my fingers for blending. This product did not irritate the sensitive skin around my eyes. Overall though, it really doesn't look that great. I won't be buying it again or recommending it to friends.

  • Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial PocketBac Sanitizing Hand Gel

I absolutely love the pocketbacs! 1st reason: They aren’t the least bit sticky! I’ve used other instant hand sanitizers that leave a goo- type feeling on my hands, making me want to get to a sink even quicker, but the pocketbacs always dry down without any feeling of residue. 2nd reason: Excellent Packaging! I’ve been throwing these babies in my bags for about 2 years now without a single accidental opening, and I give my purses a good throwing around, meaning the lids on these things close really securely. I’ve seen people put them in the little rubber carryall that Bath and Body Works sells for them, but I’ve never used one, so I can’t say whether those help prevent accidental spills or not. The bottles are also the PERFECT size. They don’t add extra weight or bulk to my bag, and since a little goes a long way, one in my purse will last me several months (I just use them when a sink isn’t convenient). 3rd reason: Some of the scents are absolutely wonderful. My favorite so far is pistachio vanilla; it smelled so good I actually looked forward to using it, and whenever I did use it people always complimented me on my “perfume”! If I one of these on my hands in the car, it makes the whole thing smell lovely and the scent stays on my hands for quite awhile. 4th reason: They aren’t too drying. Let’s be honest here and admit that whenever you’re putting alcohol on your skin, it’s going to be drying, but Bath and Body works has done a good job of mitigating this problem. I think it’s because you don’t have to use much of this product to coat your hands that it’s not as harsh as some others. I have really dry skin, to the point where the skin on the back my hands will crack and break in the winter, but I don’t feel like using this makes the dryness much worse. 5th reason: The price! The full price of a pocketbac is a dollar fifty, and I’ve never paid that much. There are always some available at the B&BW near me at the end of each season. I think I’ve paid somewhere between 30 and 75 cents for each of mine, and I feel like they are worth way more. I would definitely recommend this product to a girlfriend, and do not see myself purchasing another brand of sanitizer any time soon.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Blush

The blush is extremely messy. It's not something I would want to use for a touch-up away from my bathroom mirror, and forget about a quick application in the car. The design of the packaging is just awful. At some point the blush must have gotten tipped upside down, and now the majority of the blush is on top of the plastic grate that separates it from the the lower portion of the container, and unlike a bare minerals package, I can't get the powder to shake back down to the lower compartment. Because I have a big mound of blush on top of the grate, I have no place to swirl and tap the brush. I've owned other powder products where the brush screws down into the container, allowing for a shallow lid that can be used for brush tapping and swirling, but this lid goes over the brush, leaving a gap between the brush and the top of the lid- in other words, you can't use the lid for tapping/swirling. I have to use my bathroom counter instead. I have light skin with olive undertones and in other L'oreal products wear W3. I bought the shade soft rose 488 of the Bare Naturale blush and on me it looks like a very very soft dust pink, with a little shimmer. Nothing to write home about in terms of shade-in fact it barely shows up on me. The blush doesn't wear very long on me, after about two hours it's gone, and since I can't reapply once I've left the house that's really a problem. I would also say the texture is a bit chalky- it doesn’t blend into my foundation as well as some other powder blushes I’ve used, it kind of just sits on top of my other make-up. The only plus I would give to this product it’s brush, which is much thicker than many that come packaged with other blushes.

  • Pantene Pro-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Shine Enhance Conditioner

I have dark brown hair down to the middle of my back. It isn't chemically treated, but I seem to always have split ends due to daily blow outs and flat ironing. I like this product because I do feel like it leaves my long hair somewhat better protected than regular conditioner. Kind of coated in a way. I was told by a hairdresser once that Pantene tends to put silicone in their products and while I have no real evidence that this is true, I wouldn't be surprised it was, especially for the restoratives collection. The main draw back to this product is that I feel about two weeks into using this conditioner I have major product build up, and it makes my hair more difficult to manage and kinda limp. At that point I have to do several washes with a clarifying shampoo to get back to basics. I will also add that I major issues with this one when showering with well water. My in-laws use well water, and after two uses of this at their house the build-up is super noticeable. My hair is dull, lifeless, and limp. I can only describe the scent of this conditioner as a 'clean, slightly sweet, producty' type smell, as it isn't at all fruity or floral.

  • Pantene Pro-V Restore Beautiful Lengths Frizz Control Shampoo

My hair: mid back, straight, brown, not chemically treated but damaged from daily flat ironing and blow outs. I tend to get split ends. I like this shampoo, it makes my hair super shiny, and my hair does feel more conditioned/softer after using the restoratives combo, but by the second week of consistent use with the shampoo/conditioner combo I get build up and my hair becomes more difficult to manage than it was in the first place. At this point it takes several washes with clarifying shampoo to get back to a decent texture. I've been through this cycle several times, and I think I keep coming back because I really like the idea of having a product specifically for long hair, even if this one is pretty flawed.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Roller Perfecting Roll On Makeup

The consistancy of the foundation makes it very difficult to apply. The roller works okay, but there are parts of my face, like the curves of my nose around my eyes that are too difficult to manuver the roller into, and when use my fingers to try to smooth out the foundation in these areas it looks just awful. Imagine a paint swipe in which you can see the impression of every strand in the paint brush that made it. Trying to adjust this foundation around your eyes with your fingers makes for awful results. The dry down of this foundation is also awful. Im in my early 20s, and yet it cakes and settles into the fine lines around my eyes and mouth. On the bright side, it is true to color. I'm a W3 in the liquid, and the W3 roller compact matched me perfectly. It also smells okay, and didn't make me break out....it just looks bad :-(
