St. Ives Body Lotion with oatmeal and shea butter is fine for everyday use, but it doesn't seem (for me) to be sufficient enough for those times that you are fighting extremely dry and painfully itchy skin. For that, I recommend Eucerin, which is a bit pricey -- but magical in effectiveness. I generally adore St. Ives products, and this one is really no exception. The price is really low, the smell is lovely, and it is a nice, light hand and body lotion. Once the winter hits, I have pump bottles of lotion in every room of my house. This St. Ives formula is always one of them! Highly recommended unless you need something with almost medicinal qualities.

purchased this last year; I actually purchased the one that is a stick. I loved it so much that I decided to buy the cream. I'm not much into creams really, but this one is so AMAZING!!! I put it all over my body and makes skin feel very smooth and nice. Blemishes were gone as well as scars. And on me, it also prevented future breakouts. I don't mind the stretch marks, and yes, it says those will fade also. Like someone else reviewed, I haven't seen that part yet, but again I don't mind the stretch marks. I'm really concerned about my blemishes and the scars those leave on my skin. Within just some days on some, on some weeks on older ones, the scars faded. The product has a nice sweet smell, but I don't want to smell like candy either. I usually use it at bedtime after I exfoliate, and then, in the morning, skin looks amazing!! I totally love it!! Here's a hint: You can buy this at Walgreens for less, of course, no shipping, and even in a bigger bottle. Mine is 17oz, it costs less than this one, and it lasts for months and I use it all over my body!!! I have used other products, prescribed and over the counter, and none of those gave results that were even near to Palmers. I have noticed that a cheap and GENTLE product like this goes a long way compared to other brands, other products, and even medications. Usually medications are very harsh on the skin and even produce breakouts. I have a very sensitive skin, and this cream is absolutely amazing! Love it!! 5 stars!!! Highly recommend this!!!!

If you've ever dreamed of going to bed smelling like a Hershey bar, well, this is your day! I love the smell of this stuff - it's so good you feel like eating it! The lotion works well in the winter on dry skin, but not excessively dry skin. Plus, it definitely feels quite heavy on your skin, so you couldn't really put on hose after applying it to your legs. This is definitely for bedime usage only, simply because it does make your clothes feel like they weigh a ton! It's quite thick so you don't use very much at a time. It's great for after the bath and going straight to bed. Besides, who doesn't like dreaming in chocolate?!!! Great product, particularly on dry hands, and I highly recommend it!

I've used this product for over 14 years. I use it twice a day, everyday. My skin has been very dry since I've had an autoimmune disorder that cause my skin to be red and dry. One of the Dermatologists I saw at Johns Hopkins told me about it. Then I saw it on QVC when I happened to pass by the channel one day. That was my first purchse of this cream. Since then, I've purchased it from L'Occitane,Sephora,Amazon or on the Q. I love when I can get the large, double size, jars. But they're only availasble a few times a year. This cream is the deepest, most long lasting moisturizer for the body I've ever used. I'd tried many, many different creams prior to finding this one. The price is more than fair for the value recieved. A little goes a long way. My skin drinks it in and it leaves no sticky residue. Also, my skin is very sensitive, and this cream does not irritate my skin in any way. In fact it's very soothing. If you're on the fence asbout spending $39 for 7 ounces, please just try one jar. I promise you'll be back for more when you see the bottom of the jar. Most especially if you have dry skin, as I do. To learn more about this line of product(there are many) go to

The reason I bought this product the first time is because it had a small tag line under the brand name of being a sensual moisturizer that intrigued me. After trying it one time, I have been a complete fan of this moisturizer. It soaks right in and never leaves my legs feeling greasy or dry. Use it after bathing and you will see a total difference in the way your skin feels. The scent is light (I really don't notice it at all)but if you prefer unscented-Neutrogena does sell an unscented version. And it's also great to use on your partner because the scent that is there is neither feminine or masculine and it helps your hands glide...I have had no complaints. ;-)

I love this stuff! I first found it when my cousin was in chemo and her skin was literally falling off from dryness- my friend worked at Clinique at the time and recommended this when I was complaining that no lotions helped. This body butter made her skin good as new (I admit that for skin that severe, it took a LOT, but hey, NOTHING else worked at all. So fast forward a few years and now I have such severe dry skin on my back that I am driven to distraction during the day, can't fall asleep at night, and sometimes even wake up crying or screaming because of the itching. Instead of messing around with cheap lotions that never work, I went right for this magic stuff. I had only put it on my back for 2 days when the itching calmed, and now, one week later, ALL the itching is gone, there is NO flaking skin whatsoever. And my skin doesn't even feel greasy after.

One thing I DID NOT notice when I bought my first bottle in the store was that this product contains Salicylic Acid. Usually Salicylic Acid content is something cleansers try to brag about, and put in big letters on the label. I skimmed the back and didn't see the usual "SALICYCLIC ACID .3%", so I figured it didn't have any. What I missed was: "This face wash contains natural salicylic acid found in Willowbark bionutrients to penetrate..." If you're looking for an SA cleanser, look no further. But, while SA may work for a lot of people, there's an equal number out there where it usually has the opposite effect, and I'm one of them. After bad experiences with a number of different SA-based cleansers I'd sworn it off, until purchasing this cleanser without realizing it contained the acid. Truth is, I've been happy with it, so I'm going to keep going. Maybe the SA content is extremely low, or perhaps the naturally-derived variant of SA isn't as bad, but either way I can't argue with the results, which have been generally positive. This is gentle enough to use twice a day, has a fairly mild fragrance (though I wish it didn't have any at all), contains no oils, and has a short list of ingredients. That's all I want out of a cleanser, so it gets 9 stars from me.

This cleanser is a great product. It makes my face not only feel clean but also leaves my skin feeling soft and not dry. However, I am going to purchase another cleanser to use with this product, since I do not always like the feeling of the micro particles each time I wash my face due to the fact that my skin is very sensitive. I will probably make this my night time cleanser to remove all dirt and make-up from the day.

Have been a loyal Olay customer for many years. I have acne prone skin, but this product does not aggravate it. It takes off foundation and powder very well, although not completely or as thorough as washing your face with cleanser. However, this is the point of these cloths, so that you don't have to wash your face, which I hate to do at night. I use this once a day at night, but I use Neutrogena acne facial cleanser in the shower in the morning. Put it next to your bed, for those party nights when you just want to roll into your bed. Never sleep in your make-up again!

If you prefer a light moisturizer with just a hint of fragrance, this is the one for you. It absorbs quickly, so there's no worry about getting it on clothing. The fragrance is very clean and light. Because it's made to be light, it may not seem that it's working, but my skin feels smoother right away and it lasts. It's perfect for spring/summer when you don't want a heavy layer of lotion. (It does not offer any SPF protection.) I've also tried Vaseline's "cocoa radiant" and that's a bit heavier, both in weight and in fragrance, but I like it, too. The containers are huge, the pump works well, and the price for three bottles is fantastic.
