I grew up having to use a soap called Physohex which my stepfather swore by. We weren't allowed to use reguar deoderant of any kind, so as you might guess, when I graduated and moved out, I went strait for the "hard stuff" you know the full aluminum chlorohidrate heavy duty stuff, sprays choked me, some of the deodorant sticks contained too much perfume, some actually wrecked the underarms of my clothes. I finally settled on Mitchem only to find that in time it didn't work--especially here in Florida --and especially when I most needed it such as in dance class. Last year, I had an abnormal mamogram which made me think twice about the chemicals I was using in and on my body. The natural deodorant search began! I have tried everything and was ready to give up. The day I was at the imaging center for my second mammogram I read an article a I read about KMF in a mainstream woman's magazine. I still perspire when nervous and there is a bit of a smell that dissipates quickly but makes me nervous about whether I smell bad at times. I definitely have to clean my underarms daily and sometimes clean up at noon time depending on how active I am or whether I've been outside.---I could go a second day with the Mitchem, I have found that using A LOT works the best, but I still use a scented lotion or perfume just to cover anything the deodorant does not. (which I understand defeats the idea of using fewer chemicals on my body.) So my next try is the lavender scented KMF--that could be the ticket! this is definitely the best I've tried so far. I tried applying it HEAVILY and what an improvement. Today I went to a luncheon, it was ninety degrees, and I wore a white sleeveless sheath with confidence. It is now four hours later...tons of hugs and still no smell. Now, just so you know, there was still wetness. But I am much more confident with this product and am glad to have found something natural that works.

I love this deodorant, and totally I love the smell. All natural deodorants fade away after time during the day, especially if you're sweating a lot or changing clothes, and I've been wearing natural deodorants for years, you just learn your limits and reapply as needed. The beauty of this one is the patchouli oil, which seems to remain fragrant longer than other deodorants I've tried. Another reviewer mentioned it being hard to apply, and to that I agree to a point, but it depends on the room temperature due to the ingredients in the base of the formula. I just keep my deodorant in the bathroom medicine cabinet where it is warmer than the rest of the bathroom and I have no trouble gliding the product over my skin.

I have used the Mitchum brand since 1983, after I moved to the Eastern United States and found out how useless most deodorants are in high-humidity conditions. Mitchum was the only product I found that worked. It is regrettable that Mitchum chose to change the active ingredient. Perhaps they changed it several times since 1983, but the most recent change came to my attention when a new container left my armpits raw after 2 or 3 uses. I hadn't thrown the old container out, so I compared labels. I can do so again now for you because I have hung onto that old container, as well as the unusable newer one. Whence, OLD ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly 20% NEW ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate 25% Now I am unable to use either the roll-on or gel Mitchum products. Thanks, Mitchum, for taking a perfect product and ruining it.

I love mitchum. It has a great scent and great protection. I use it everyday. It is not flawless on the hottest summer days (I live in DC and we had multiple 90+ days this summer), but it holds up well compared to other deoderants. i would recommend switching your deoderant every 6 months so the bacteria in your body doesn't adjust. i feel like my body adjusted to mitchum, so now I go back and forth with another brand, but I still fully support it.

I've used Mitchum for years and yes they have the same amount of Aluminum Zirconium Trichlorohydrex GLY (20%) but something about this works better. It must be the other active ingredients in Secret Clinical Strength that puts it over the top. Mitchum's slogan is "it's so effective you could skip a day". That is absolutely not true. I came home smelly at the end of every day. My husband smelled better than I did at the end of the day and he's in construction! It didn't even work for 1 day let alone 2! I never liked the wet gel feel either. (I considered trying men's deodorant but it has such a manly smell I figured people would notice.) I've also tried prescription stuff and I didn't like it at all. It went on like a wet roll-on and it was sticky, irritating to my skin, and itchy. I have none of these issues with Secret Clinical Strength. Since I bought Secret Clinical Strength I have no more odor problems! I'm amazed and so is my husband! I thought Mitchum was the best that I could do but now I've found something better! I'm saved from my embarrassment! Take heart. It works and I'm not even following the directions of putting it on at night. I put it on after my shower in the morning, just one click for each arm, and it works just fine all day long, no need to reapply. It's totally worth the extra money. For the skeptics - give it a shot, what do you have to lose? Thank God for this stuff!

It's pretty simple: this is a perfumed, roll-on liquid deodorant. The Candid scent is sweet and feminine (jasmine-based scent), really great for daytime. It's liquid so it is invisible on skin, and doesn't leave white stains on clothing. When wearing the deodorant, the scent is quite mild, does not overwhelm others.

I've had trouble looking for a deodorant that is right for me ever since I've needed to use it. I've tried everything from Right Guard, Arm and Hammer, Degree, and Speed Stick. Some of these worked, and smelled great, but I found myself re-applying often. I was told by my mother once, when I ran out of my own deodorant, to try some of her Secret. I didn't try it because I'm a male and I didn't want to smell like flowers all day long. I finally ended up trying some at my girlfriends house when I left my deodorant at home. My mother was completely right! The deodorant worked great and I only had to put it on once. I finally got the idea to purchase my own Secret deodorant while I was on deployment. I was getting sick of going back to my locker and putting on more deodorant. I ordered some Secret because of my experience with it in the past. Ever since I've gotten it about a month and a half ago, I've been wearing it every day. This stuff works great. I am no longer inconvenienced with going out of my way to apply more deodorant and I don't have to check my underarms to see if I'm starting to smell either! Overall, this stuff is great. For anyone who has had trouble finding the right deodorant, give some Secret a shot.

this is the greatest non-antiperspirant deodorant i have ever tried - & i've tried a gracious plenty of them. even tho it's perfumed, once you put it on, you can't smell the fragrance, so it doesn't clash with any other scents, & doesn't trigger fragrance allergies/reactions. i hope avon doesn't get stupid & change the formulation to anti-perspirant.

This is a great product, I wont need to buy deodorant for along time now, 6 should last me around a year or so. Cool Shower smell is fresh and not very strong which is what i prefer. My only complain is, the deodorant can sometimes stick to your underarm hair, which isn't very flattering, that is my only complaint. Apart from that, It's still a great deodorant.

I've used Avon for a long time, but the particular deodorant I'd been using has changed and now has a more chemical smell. This fragrance is pleasant, long-lasting, and isn't over-powering so doesn't clash with your cologne.
