    Urban Decay Eyeshadow

    Sexy, sultry, subtle or bold!

I LOVE the UD eyeshadows. Make sure to use with the UD eyeshadow primer for a perfect look. Now that they've got mattes too, gals who don't like the glitter should be happy. I like a little shimmer (especially on the weekend) and depending on how you use them these are perfect for everything from that sparkly rockstar look to a more subtle and sophisticated workday eye. Pricy, but worth it.

  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

Okay, so I haven't tried every single eyeliner on the market, but this is definitely the best of those I _have_ tried! I'd been turned off of eyeliner from using those hard painful cheap pencils, but was SO happily surprised when a salesgirl handed one of these to me to feel. So silky, so soft! I love the variety of colors and the ability to create thin (make sure to sharpen frequently if you want thin lines, since they're soft the tips dull quickly) and thick lines. Urban Decay rocks!

  • Juice Beauty SPF 30 Tinted Mineral Moisturizer

I really wanted to like this product more, since I like many of Juice's others and believe in the benefits of organics and sun protection. Unfortunately, though, I don't like the smell (after trying to get used to it for a few weeks it's still too...planty?) and it seems very greasy and shiny on my skin. Even when I use powder over it I feel like it makes my skin look very oily. I recommend giving it a try before purchasing it to see if it's for you.

  • Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner

I love using a thin line of the "baked" shade over the (wonderful) Urban Decay eyeliners when I go out. It's so fun to wear glitter, and the tiny brushes in these applicators allow us adults to do it without looking like 12 year olds. Must-haves for going dancing or to that "hot new club." Plus, they seem to last very well; my eyes are always still glittery when I'm woozily removing my eye makeup after a night of partying!

    Nars Multiple

    Pricy...but worth it

When I was first starting out as a portrait photographer, I didn't have much experience with makeup. I knew NARS was a great line though, so visited their counter to get some tips and find out what products would give me the best value and look for those of my clients who were a little less than glowing. I went away with a few things, and my favorite is still the Copacabana mulitple. Although the "O" shade has gotten more attention, I love the nutralness of Copacabana. My only complaint is the price (but I can live with it), plus, it's offset by the fact that it seems to last forever (which could also be a drawback since it may be time to throw it away before it's gone)!

Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette

    So many compliments...

I was never "into" perfume until I tried this. It seems to perfectly go with my chemistry or natural scent or whatever, and has thus become my "signature scent." It's definitely not for everyone, but I love the deep sensuality of it. It's not cloying or flowery. Like other reviewers, I've received a lot of compliments and questions about what I'm wearing when I've got it on. Plus, my man says just the smell turns him on and makes him think of me ;)

  • Urban Decay Lip Envy

    Urban Decay Lip Envy

Great as a cheek stain too!

One of the first lip stains I tried and I've come to really love using it under glosses. It does a good job at keeping color on the lips all day even as glosses wear off. I've got the brown/nude shade ("Jealous"). It needs a few coats to show color, but works well and looks great under gloss or lipstick. I'm really glad that the girl who sold it to me mentioned that it was a great cheek stain too, because I love using it for this as well. It's really subtle and easy to blend.

  • Philosophy The Supernatural Color Corrector Concealer

I really like this concealer set. Although I'm very fair-skinned and thus haven't used the darkest shade, I still think it's worth it. The little brush is actually really nice for larger areas where I've got some redness, but like others I do often also use my fingers (or a smaller concealer brush) to apply the product to small blemishes or around my eyes. Overall, the product has a nice consistency, particularly when warmed a little on the fingers. However, I've found the lightest shade to be a tiny bit too dry, so I usually mix it with at least a little of the middle one for easier application.

  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

As other reviewers have stated, this is totally the best eyeshadow primer EVER. When I last ran out and went to get some more the store was out and I had to try something else...and it didn't come close. Makes my lids feel silky smooth, and doesn't feel like I have anything extra on them. Shadow works beautifully with it, but it also works nice alone to give a "no makeup" look to discolored lids.

    Philosophy Hope in a Jar

    Highly recommended!

I got this as part of the "Makeup Optional" set (also highly recommended) and have quickly become a Philosophy devotee. I've never felt a moisturizer like this, it makes my skin feel really great and along with the other products I really do feel like it's improving my skin so that I don't have to wear as much makeup. My only complaint is the lack of sun protection; I like to have this in my moisturizer so that I don't have to worry about whether my makeup has it or not (and so I don't have to wear makeup with spf). However, I've already ordered their moisturizer that DOES have spf, so I'm hoping that will be as amazing as this is, with the added benefit of sun protection!
