I am definitely a nail-polish junkie. I've tried a ton of brands, from the high end to the bargain basement. I tend to go for the ones that are lower-priced but perform as well as (or better than) the expensive ones. When I got my trial maven box, I used the pretty red I received to fix a cheaper mani of the same color I had given myself. Head to head with a $2 nail polish, this one did about the same, but it didn't have the desired opacity that the other one did. Basically: this stuff isn't quite as good as drugstore nail polish. Save your money. Buy Wetnwild Megalast (my personal fave) or Sinful Colors instead.

I gave it a 9/10 because it comes off in the ocean. Not really surprising, but it's supposed to be waterproof. This is my definite go-to now. I've been telling everyone, even the girl at the clinique makeup counter.

If you live in a humid climate, this one may not be for you. I had high hopes for the stuff, but since my skin isn't particularly dry, and it's summer in Florida, this stuff left my skin almost stickily hydrated. Definitely too much of a good thing.

I have medium, color-treated hair. I try really hard to prevent more damage since I do color it so much. One of the things I do is try to wash it and heat style it as little as I can. When I do wash it, which is about twice a week, I have to blow dry it with this. This mousse keeps my hair fresh and clean for three days. I can notice the difference immediately when I go without it. It helps me use less of every other product I have. This mousse is completely worth the money. Love it!

I've been trying to wash my hair less lately. I can usually go about 4 days without a wash, the 4th day being an up-do day. I usually apply this stuff when I need a few more hours of looking semi-presentable, not a full day, because I know my hair will look disgusting soon after it soaks up the oil. What you need from a dry shampoo is something that can bee put in the night before so your hair will look fresh in the morning, or something you can spray in the morning on the run and look fresh all day. This can achieve neither. I believe I got this on sale, and I'm glad. It makes my hair heavy and greasy. I would not recommend this product. I'm still looking for the best dry shampoo I can find that isn't absurdly priced.

I live in Florida, so I've learned to use all waterproof makeup to fight against the humidity. I'm always on the lookout for a great water-proof eyeliner. I was super stoked about this one. It went on smoothly, and the color was fantastic. It was very gentle on the waterline. But after a few hours, the color rings under my eyes. :( This is probably great for drier or cooler climates, but if you live on the gulf coast, keep looking.

I have been using this concealer for many years. It never fails to cover a blemish if you use it correctly. Yellow works for dull spots, green for red. Smear it onto the spot liberally after moisturizer and primer. Cover with foundation and blend. Bingo! No more blemish! But don't try to use this on its own. You'll end up with big old light spots on your face. :P

This had been my go-to under-eye concealer for years. However, I was a teenager then and a little unseasoned in the makeup department. I started to notice that it made the skin under my eyes too light! Crazy. I don't use this any more. I actually use elf all over color stick in spotlight instead. It's a nice change to have a $1 product that works rather than a $14 one that's so-so. So if you ran out of this, try elf!

This BB doesn't match my skin tone very well, which is surprising. I tend to be fairly easy to fit tone-wise because of my fair skin, but this makes me look kind of bloodless. It can also be a little chalky and drying. I have dry skin, so if you do too, this might not be the BB for you. I suggest Rimmel 9-in-1 BB instead.

This is thicker and more pigmented than the usual BB cream. It works great as a foundation. It has buildable coverage and is one of my go-to foundations for hot, humid days.
