  • L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude

First of all, let's be clear, this is no replacement for Urban Decay's Naked Palettes. However, considering Naked Palettes run over $50 a pop, this palette really isn't a bad deal for $15. I was actually surprised at the quality (excluding the crappy brush). Shadow easily lasts all day with a good primer. It's also easy to blend and the colors go well together. Instructions and color combinations are shown on the back of the palette if you need ideas. I was given the Nude 1 palette and will likely use 6 of the 10 colors since the other 4 are pretty dark for my skin tone. Although, this palette would be great for a nude smokey eye if you're so inclined.

  • Gillette Venus Satin Care Sensitive Skin Shave Gel

The good: The gel lathers well and smells fine. It's smooth and easy to use. The bad: It's just about the same as any other shave gel on the market. It's nothing special. The ugly: The red razor bumps on my legs are still as clear as ever.

    PMD Personal Microderm

Acne Free for an Entire Week!

Im generally a skeptic when it comes to "at home" spa products, but I must admit, I'm pretty sold on this device. It is gentler than an actual microderm "in spa" treatment, and I think it would be difficult to screw up your skin without totally ignoring the instructions. I used this for the first time (the blue disc) and noticed a significant difference in my acne. No breakouts for a week! I plan on using this weekly in hopes the results will remain the same. The one downside is that replacing the discs after every few uses could get pricy. Still, nothing like paying for microderm in the spa.

  • WEI East China Herbal Intensive Eye Pads

Yes, these are unique, but they are also a little gimmicky. They are a pain to apply and I didn't notice a significant difference after I used them. They were uncomfortable and didn't feel spa like in the least. The one positive I found was that the coolness from the pads did seem to reduce puffiness and inflammation around the eye area

  • M. Asam Vinolift Skin Tightening Cream

Yes, this cream is thick. Like, super thick. But it's not necessarily a bad thing. No, it doesn't work well under makeup, and it's absolutely not lightweight. However, if you think of it as more of a moisture mask, then its a great product. I apply before bed and my usually dry, acne prone skin feels soft and supple in the morning. The product absorbs well and doesn't just set on the skin's surface. I haven't used the product long enough to see results in terms of aging, but it seems like renewed moisture would play a big part in fighting wrinkles as well. All, in all, it's worth a try.

  • Serious Skincare Glycolic Gommage Exfoliating Facial

When I hear "Glycolic" I think of an acidy, glue-like substance that burns on my skin. I was surprised to find this product was more of a microderm mud mask, with all of the same benefits as the "usual" Glycolic peel. It was a wonderful exfoliater and my skin felt soft and refreshed after I rinsed the mask. I would absolutely recommend this mask.

  • Elysee YouthSpan Enviro-Shield Tinted Veil

This product reminds me more of a shimmery moisturizer than anything. In fact, I had a hard time seeing any foundation-like coverage at all. I found the shimmer annoying as well, since I generally prefer a more matte finish. I cannot comment on the anti-aging properties since I didn't use the product long enough to see any benefits. There is just no way this product would be any form of substitute for foundation.

  • Pureology Hydrate Shampoo

By far the best shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. That's right, ever. I've never been able to style my hair using only a blow dryer (and no straightener). Now I can! My hair is so unbelievably smooth! Not only that, but I feel better knowing the ingredients are natural, vegan, and actually good for my hair (and body). I've noticed the acne on my back is clearing up since I've started using the Purology product line. Probably because it's not made from fillers and other crud that clog pores and weigh down hair.

  • Perlier Shea Butter Hand Cream

This product is a wonderful moisturizer! It's stands out from drug-store hand lotions in that the ingredients really sink into your skin and make your hands feel soft and velvety. All of that aside, my favorite part of this product is it's amazing smell...it smells like a delightful almond croissant. And...I'm sold.

  • Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials

I love the concept of a flesh-colored eye primer for a gazillion different reasons. First off, It mulitasks as a concealer. In fact, I used it to cover a zit or a two and it worked great! It also creates a great "bare" look, if you want to look flawless, but not too done. I'll use the eye base, throw on a couple coats of mascara and call it a day. No eyeshadow required! Oh, and it also does it's original job as a primer too. My eyeshadow stayed crease-free all day. My one and only negative comment would be that the product is a little cakey . I'm hoping it doesn't continue to thicken with age.
