I think the Avatar people might be a popular costume.  Who doesn't want an excuse to paint themselves in blue.  

I am leaning toward thinking Vampires are going to be popular.  Not only do you have a lot of Twilight fans but on the flip side are the True Blood fans and lets not forget all the teen vampire drama's on tv this past year.  Even if you are not a fan of any of the above, vampires have been a classic for a very long time.  I wouldn't mind seeing Avatars walking around though, that would be cool.  :)

Oh yeah, the vampires will be out in droves. I also think anything Mad Men will be huge. Gaga of course, but we saw a lot of her last year.

Oh Mad Men has brought back retro styles in a BIG way.  I just love it.

Here's a great Avatar video tutorial done by a MAC artist. I did the "Mad Men" thing last year ... not even sure I have a reason to dress up this year. Pathetic, I know. I guess I don't NEED a reason to dress up though. I personally think it would be fun, albeit dangerous, to get a bunch of girl friends together and go as a roller derby team a la "Whip It". Did you see that movie with Ellen Page/Drew Barrymore? Obsessed! No? Rent it!
