Lipstick advice?

I've just started to experiment with lipsticks, I have some Clinique and Lancome basic colors and I have a Clinique nude lip liner. I love both those cosmetics brands, but their lipsticks either aren't pigmented enough or don't last long at all.

Like I said, I'm new to the trend, so I'd appreciate any tips, tricks, or any advice on applying lipstick the best way, and keeping it long-lasting.

Re: Lipstick advice?

I second MAC lipsticks if you want a lipstick that is richly pigmented and lasts well! Their Viva Glam line of shades are gorgeous and go to a great cause too.

Re: Lipstick advice?

You will be amazed of Guerlain lipsticks, KISSKISS collection is amazing! From my experience, I use foundation and powder on my lips too and then the lip liner and after that a layer or two of lipstick. For lasting results I recommend you to use a stain lipstick together with lip butter, because it dries the lips.

Re: Lipstick advice?

Lipstick and shades vary by individual. I would recommend going to Sephora or Ulta and asking to try on a few shades to see what looks best and works for you. Normally it is free to do so unless you want a full makeover then it will cost you a few bucks.

Re: Lipstick advice?

My favorite brands to buy lipsticks are MAC, Revlon and Melt Cosmetics. These lipsticks are sooo pigmented. I always moisturize my lips before applying them (it's very important ) with a lipbrush from Zoeva :)

Re: Lipstick advice?

The best lipstick is the one which complements your skin color and has the right texture. As in glossy texture suits women with thin lips and matte looks better on women with fuller lips. There are few shades like Mac Ruby Woo with which you cannot go wrong irrespective of skin color..
