Makeup
I love the trend and I hope it sticks. Whoever invented fat makeup
pencils is brilliant! It's such an precise and convenient way to apply
color. Every time I see a new one, I want to try it. There are only a
few I've bought, such as Avon and WetnWild and Rimmel, but they won't be
the last.
BTW: It also seems like a storage solution to avoid powder and liquid stains in the bottom of your bag.
7 RepliesI agree! They are easy to carry in your purse to reapply and a ton of brands have some great ones. Currently I am obsessed with 2 brands. First is Pop's pouty pop crayons ( "rose romance" and "petal passion"). They are the more high end and the next is ELF jumbo lip gloss stick ("pink umbrellas"). ELF is super cheap I think it was $3 for it. It was more then worth the money so I highly recommend looking into it!
I personally do not like these fat make up pencils because of the creamy look and consistency, they form lines on the eyelids and they cannot be blended for a more elaborated make up when they are used as eyeshadows. As blushes also, the are not powder nor cream so they need a lot of rubbing on the cheek to blend the lines of product. As lipstick, they tend to be matte or shimmerry, no glossy, luscious effect. And it is so uncomfortable to use the fat pencil or try to mess its top with a brush to get the product. Precise and convenient are the last adjectives that would cross my mind to describe them...
I'm pretty much obsessed with them since I'm usually swiping on makeup in a frenzy in the morning before work! I love the Revlon lip stain crayons, the Tarte Lip Tint Crayons. I want to try the new Jordana ones too that are only a couple of bucks.
I love the lip crayons, just fell in love with the pop crayon. I tried a fat eyeliner pencil for the first time a few days ago and although its okay I prefer the slimmer eye pencil for a more defined line.
I LOVE the crayon trend!!! I wasn't super impressed when I first tried the Clinique Chubby Stick but after a few uses I'm absolutely hooked and now I have this awful urge every time I see a crayon to buy one haha.
Yep, you can get them for either eyes or lips. They even make perfume crayons now! Genius!
