Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Was Referred to Imitate Another Royal Gown

After the duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, get married, her wedding dress inspires a raft of imitation. Many Merchants are engaged in following the example of Kate’s wedding gown.
However, there is information now saying that this gown was copied from another royal wedding ceremony. The Duchess’s wedding dress is exactly similar to the gown worn by the actress Isabella Orsini who married Belgian Prince — Edouard de Ligne two years ago.
Ms Orsini is the goddaughter of Silvio Berlusconi. Her dress was designed by the Belgian designer Gerald Watelet. While the Duchess’s wedding gown was designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen.
Both Brides are pretty and slim brunettes. So their wedding dresses adopted a tiara to hold their veils in place completely. And both bridal gowns were designed into the V-neckline, long-sleeved, high-necked style with a lace bodice. Besides, these two dresses both emulated a wedding gown worn by Grace Kelly when she married Prince Rainer of Monaco in 1956.
What’s more, the lace design of the Duchess of Cambridge’s gown had the rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock, which are the emblems of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The only foreign embellishment belongs to French Chantilly lace that is combined with English Cluny lace
This ivory satin dress had a 9-feet train that was nipped in waist. The lace of the long-sleeved bodice is handtailored by the Royal School of Needlework of Hampton Court Palace. What is particularly mentioned is that these makers had to wash their hands every half an hour to avoid the lace and threads to become dirty. And in order to keep the needles sharp and clean, they still change the new ones every three hours.
