Beauty Look to Try: Side Braids with a Bun

The other day I was inspired by our Executive Editor Kristen Giordani's braiding videos and decided to give it ago on my own hair. This was an especially easy hair style to try after not washing my hair for a few days.
What do you guys think? It was a cinch to do. All I did was separate my hair into three parts: One large part for the bun and two small parts for a braid on both sides of my head. I topped it off with a cute little jeweled bobby pin to add a little something special.
I think it's a great way to style your hair on days when it isn't suitable for wearing down -- way more fun than a ponytail.

Braiding is my best friend when I wake up with crazy bangs in the morning and don't have time to re-wash and style my hair! I like your idea of dressing it up with a bedazzled bobby pin too - Very cute!

Totally. When my hair just DOESNT work, I do an updo like a braid or a bun and side braid, or a messy bun, or a side pony. Very unique. Nice job, Tracy.

Very cute! Did you braid both sides or just one? Either way it's a fun style. I usually do a fun updo or bun when I'm too lazy to style my hair -- it's quick and I end up getting more compliments than when I wear my hair down!
