Low-tox but not high-performance

I'm pregnant, so nail care products without DBP, free formaldehyde, and toluene are the only thing I'm buying now. Paula's Choice delivers on that score, and it has a nice shiny finish. However, I wasn't bowled over by the drying speed and I certainly wasn't happy when I had tip wear the very next day. It's not like I climb rocks or scrub pots for 10 hours straight, either. Just okay...

I was excited when I saw this because I am a huge fan of a lot of other Paula's Choice products. I tried this base and top coat with several different other brands of color polish and it was just okay. While it did dry quickly and was quite shiny, it did not stand up well to the day-to-day abuse I usually expose my hands to. There are other brands I have tried and like much better such as Essie, OPI, Develop 10, and Sally Hansen.
