7 Ways to Look Gorgeous at PartiesFrom dramatic to glamorous, these celebrity makeup looks work for every festive occasion |
Kerry Washington Smoky eyes and pale pink lips are the perfect pairing for night.
Eyes: For an intense eye makeup look like this, we're starting with the eyes so you can clean up any shadow smudges or mess before doing the rest of your face.
Step 1: To achieve this smoky eye, mix brown and black powder shadows (try CoverGirl Queen Collection Eyeshadow Quad in Lionqueen, $5.33) by swirling your brush into both and sweeping them over your lids from lash lines to creases. Add more color as you go if needed.
Step 2: Blend a matte taupe shadow (try Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Stay Matte in Martini, $14) from creases to brow bones.
Step 3: Using black pencil eyeliner (try Wet n Wild H2O Proof Blending Eye Pencil, $2), line top and bottom lash lines and inner rims.
Step 4: Grab a thin, angled brush and use it to smudge black and brown shadow along lower lash lines.
Step 5: Curl lashes and apply multiple coats of black mascara (try Too Faced Lash Injection, $19.50), letting each coat dry before applying the next.
Step 6: Glue a strip of false lashes (try Ardell Fashion Lashes No. 120, $3.79) along your top lash lines.

It would be great if the pictures show their dresses too. This way it'll be easy to compare how well the make up goes with the dress. This certainly would give me lots of ideas for any occasions and dresses.

I loved these looks!!!! I also love wearing golden shadows when I am tan. It not only brings out my eyes like crazy ( I have blue eyes) but it also accentuates my tan! I really liked that they were using the false eyelashes I just bought from Ulta. I wasn't sure if those were a good brand to get but got them anyway (hey, the price was right!!). After seeing how nice they will look once I put them on ( I haven't done that yet) made me excited for when I do try them.
