My hamster is a part of our family. When my son was in highschool he asked if he could buy one. Little did I know he would soon go off to college and leave the hamster w/me. I never thought I would get attached to a hamster! But my husband and I really do love him. He watches tv with us, snuggles in my husbands shirt pocket and can tell the difference between all family member and friends that come to visit. He is an award winning hamster as he has won multiple awards on tv and the internet.
Thanks for the comment on my hamster Ally. He is a Russian Dwarf. They are very small and easily trained-also extremely smart! I had a Panda Bear hamster too. I also had the experience of one of the hamster we had bite me and I did the same as you, the hamster landed on its feet and was stunned but fine. It is a shame they do not live long, as we get attached to them like we would a cat or dog.

Awwwwww, so cute! I love hamsters, i used to have a black and white one named Ham-Ham. But i dont have one anymore. Ihad a bad experience with a teddy bear hamster when i was 5, he bit my finger and knowing me [ being a 5 yr old] i flung him across the room and my cat chased him. He was fine though.
