  • Jonathan Product Silky Dirt Shine & Define Creme

Similar to the regular 'Dirt,' this one is lighter/not as tacky in consistency, & must be emulsified first to avoid over-gooping the hair. I found it worked better on my sister's hair, which is very long but with dry ends. It helps to create an unfrizzed, long look. My suggestion is to start w/the ends & stay away from your roots w/it, b/c these products are not called 'Dirt' by accident!

  • got2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue

There are a few ways this works for me: (1) On my son to spike the front of his hair, (2) When my hair was long (it's blonde, not recommending for dark hair), w/an updo or ponytail, a very small swipe on my 'fly aways' around the temples stayed ALL DAY without looking like I had something holding it down all sticky, (3) On my current short hair, whenever I need it to spike out or to create intense texture. It is the consistency of glue, & seriously works. Everyone who borrows mine goes out in search of their own tube.

  • TIGI Bed Head Wax Stick

    TIGI Bed Head Wax Stick

Don't apply directly to the head...

...LOL. That was my 1st mistake with this one. Beyond that, it works like most pastes/waxes - imperative to put a small amount on the fingertips & emulsify before applying. It works well, but there are some out there that I liked the scent better than this one.

  • Jonathan Product Dirt Texturizing Paste

    Jonathan Product Dirt Texturizing Paste

    All Right, in small doses

I have short, blonde hair, & this works okay -- in VERY SMALL QUANTITIES -- to create a messy look. Keep in mind that to make it work out correctly, put a small bit on your fingertips & rub your hands together to emulsify it before applying. Keep to the ends at first, b/c it IS named 'Dirt' for a reason. For longer hair, there is 'Silky Dirt,' & you have to follow the same process. Ends first, on dry hair.

    Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent

Works, but not for sensitive eyes/skin

Yes, this works. Yes, it takes the goo off well. However, it leaves a cold, tingly/burny sensation on my eyes...The watering is a pain.

  • Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips

This is okay, but definitely not my favorite. Yes, it succeeds in getting all my eye makeup off quickly, but it makes my sensitive eyes water
