BEWARE!!!! Color Nightmare

I have been coloring my hair for more years than I like to admit. (18 years, if you must know) I've used L'Oreal and been pleased when I could find my color. I had heard of the new "10 minute to go" formula from family and had a coupon. Since I could not find my color (again) I decided to play it safe, get a medium reddish brown and try this new 10 minute hair color. Well, I've got alot of gray, so it is suggested another 5 minutes. After rinsing I thought it looked a bit dark. After towel drying I was in shock. In the mirror I saw a cartoon character, My hair was vibrant Purple! Dark with a bright Magenta glow! I freaked and ran to the shower. I washed my hair 1/2 dozen times with a deep cleansing shampoo. I remove alot of color, it doesn't glow so much. Still a bright purplish red. I have know idea what color was in that box. I am stuck under a baseball cap until I can figure out what to do. Is there a double minus star? Who has the number for L'Oreal? BEWARE!!!!!!
