I have a love/hate relationship with Dior fragrances. Some smell gorgeous and wear well on anyone, but there are others that only wear well on certain people even though it smells horrible on a strip of paper. I'm not the biggest fan of the poison family, but I really like Hypnotic Poison the best! First off, it's a very spicy, but still slightly sweet fragrance. It is very full bodied, so wear very little of it as to not overpower the room. I remembered the first time I smelled this on a strip of paper at Sephora, I had a reaction that I had never had before with other fragrances; I remembered my eyes involuntarily rolled back a little (sounds soooo weird, but it's true!). I didn't know what to think of it at first because it's such a strong scent, but the longer the scent developed, the more I liked it. I tried it on my skin and it surprisingly wore well with my body chemistry. This is a fragrance that I think goes well on a date, if you want to make a lasting impression and catch the attention of your date. It's very sexy and sensual and it lasts quite a long time since it's a spice fragrance (as opposed to florals or citruses which don't wear very long). I sound like a broken record by now, but I cannot stress how much you need to know not to spray too much of this! I spray a little on my wrists (then try to dab my neck with my wrists) and one or two sprays on my clothing. I think the name "Hypnotic Poison" describes this scent quite well.

This is a great fragrance to have around the Holidays when we are reminded of warm baked goods. To be honest, the holidays are the only time of year that I wear this because it is a warm, spicy and full bodied scent. This works beautifully if you also get the body wash and lotion to layer this with the fragrance; that way you get a longer lasting scent on you. If you like rich vanilla then this is for you. It is much pricier than getting the body spray, but the body spray doesn't last nearly as long. Since this is a spice fragrance, it does last longer than lighter fragrances such as florals or citruses.

Of all the Classic Philosophy fragrances, Pure Grace is my favorite scent. It is known as the quintessential Soap and Water scent. If you LOVE that super clean soapy scent, then this is perfect for you; it's very crisp. Any shower cream/gel from Philosophy is always a winner because it doesn't dry my skin or irritate it because I have eczema and sensitive skin. Then, you can layer the scent with the body lotion for that longer-lasting clean scent. This is the perfect scent for summer time when most of us don't fair very well in the heat and worry a little bit more about how we smell if we get sweaty. I do like the packaging because it's adorable (I kept the ribbon). The thing I don't really like too much is the price. It's 32 dollars for mini sizes of the shower cream and the lotion. Yes, the classic Philosophy scents cost more for full sizes, but I don't think I get the value of what I'm paying for at 32 dollars. I would like to expect a little more bang for my buck.

I received this set for my birthday a couple months ago, and I was excited because I have been a huge fan of any Philosophy shower gel. Yes, The Margarita shower gel DOES smell like Margarita (but fortunately it doesn't have a strong smell of sickening tequila!) and the Melon Daiquiri lip gloss does taste and smell like melon daiquiri (same thing applies, it doesn't have a strong smell of rum). Philosophy shower gels are the only shower gels I will use because it doesn't dry my skin or irritate it because I have eczema. It's a lusciously foaming treat for in the shower. You only need about a quarter size because it foams up really well, so even though this set comes with a small bottle, it can last a verrrrrry long time if you do not use too much of it. I like the lip gloss. It's not as sticky as I was expecting and it does give you high shine, but it's not my favorite gloss. I use it every now any then, but it's not my cup of tea because I'm not a huge fan of melon. However, that's just personal taste. This set costs about 18 dollars for a mini shower gel and the lip gloss, but I would rather have a full size of the shower gel, sans gloss, for 16 dollars. I just ran out of the shower gel (because my mom likes to use this and she likes to splurge), so I will definitely go to the store and pick up a new bottle of this!

The Purity line from Philosophy is a cult favorite, but it's mostly referring to the original purity cream facial cleanser. I received a bar of this for free (luckily), because paying 20 dollars for a bar of soap isn't exactly something I would want to do. Yes, I do like that this makes me feel clean. Anything from the Purity line doesn't have harsh chemicals or detergents in it, so it doesn't irritate your skin (bar soap is usually a HUGE no-no for my eczema skin). It does foam up decently (like any bar of soap), and it's okay to use on my face as well. However, this bar of soap (like any) will be used up quite quickly. If you're paying 20 dollars for a bar of soap that is use up in a month, you might as well pay 16 dollars for a bottle of a Philosophy shower gel that will last for about 3 or 4 months. So this isn't a very savvy purchase to make unless you absolutely have to have bar soap; this is a good alternative to have if you're traveling because you don't have to worry about liquids. Although I don't know if Philosophy is discontinuing this because I only see it in a couple of specific places (this product never really flew off the shelves anyways).

When summer time rolls around, I'm one of those people who turn into a walking grease ball. Therefore, I try to use as few products as possible in order to keep my pores from clogging up. I like my skin to breathe! I gave this a shot because I was looking for a high spf, but with some kind of hydration in it (because most sunscreen fluids don't hydrate enough). This is a little creamier than other sunscreen fluids, and it does hydrate a little better than the thinner fluids, but not as thick as the typical sunscreens. It does absorb quickly and feels light on the skin which is a must, but it doesn't leave me looking greasy which is what I hate with sunscreens. Best of all, this doesn't smell bad. I absolutely HATE Hope In A Jar because I cannot stand the smell of Lavender oil (it makes me ill to smell it), so I like that this doesn't have that strong scent. I love that this is a high spf, but Philosophy is likely going to have to repackage the product to a spf 50+ due to new packaging regulations. However, this really only will protect you for about two hours like any other sunscreen, so you'll have to find some kind of other method to touch up, or just reapply this every two hours. At first, I was a bit iffy because this has Oxybenzone in it which can cause a bit of free-radicals in your skin. However, this does have antioxidants in it which help to neutralize it which is a little better. As far as anti-aging goes, I'm not entirely convinced. I'm still quite young, so I wouldn't notice anything. For someone who does have the appearance of fine lines, then this might nice to pair up with the Miracle Worker moisturizer. As far as hydration goes, this is okay, but I still feel like I need a little more hydration in it. I don't want to have to keep layering creams, so this didn't exactly have me sold. Once again, I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of Philosophy moisturizers.

In the past, I haven't been too impressed with Philosophy fragrances; I love the smell of the shower gels, but with the toilette scent, they just never appealed to me much. However, this year, Philosophy has really done well with their new fragrances, be it this one (Summer Grace) and the Love Sweet Love that came out earlier this year. When I think about summer fragrances, I think of something light like floral and fruits. This has both fruity and floral notes, but they do smell light and they work well to give you a light and refreshing, but still something that smells warm that reminds you of summer days. This has sold extremely well; almost all places have sold out ridiculously quickly even when summer is just beginning. Yes, this fragrance is going to be limited edition, but I would expect Philosophy would have it in their right mind to produce more to cater to the high demand. Anyways, I got the gift set of this which came in a pretty box for $50 and it came with an 8 oz bottle of the Summer Grace firming body emulsion. I love to layer the scent of the toilette with the body lotion because it makes the scent last longer. Without the lotion, this really doesn't last very long on it's own, even if you really spray it on. That's what's very disappointing about this limited edition spray. You use it too quickly because you have to spray it on a lot because it dies down too quickly. Naturally, every person is different. I know some people that it lasts very long on them because they have the right chemistry. But for me, it doesn't last very long unless I layer it with the firming body emulsion. The biggest beef I have with Philosophy is that the best scents they release (be it toilette, shower gel, etc) tend to be limited edition only, whereas the more mediocre scents tend to be limited edition and sell out so quickly. Therefore, I just hope Philosophy releases this one every year for summer. Although I am not entirely convinced that I would repurchase another bottle or set, I did like it enough to keep it and want to use it. It's a lovely scent, but not extraordinary. I definitely like this toilette better than their classic scents (ie Amazing Grace, Eternal Grace, etc).

If you're looking for that classic pure soap scent, then this is a great product for you. It smells clean and crisp, and a little goes a long way to create a luxurious foaming experience in the shower. It is a bit pricey for a bottle, but as long as you don't squirt out a lot every time, then this will last you for months. I love the scent of it, but every now and then I do opt for some other kind of scent, be it sweet or floral, whatever my taste is feeling like. I absolutely adore Philosophy washes because they are the only washes that doesn't irritate my skin, make it dry, and clean my skin well. Plus, there are so many scents available with new scents always coming out, that it is impossible not to find something you will like.

Does its job, stays on and goes on well. I have the bright red pencil and it's very creamy and easy to put on your lips. It makes a HUGH difference in how well my lipstick stays on. I can't live without it and it's at a good price for a long-lasting product.

This pencil is double-ended and it gives you two separate looks that can be used day or night. A little goes a LONG way with this pencil. I use mine all the time and I still have a long pencil. This is very creamy and it only takes a couple of strokes under your brow to give you a perfect highlight. Since it's creamy, it's easy to blend with your finger which is a dream because I don't have to mess with powders, brushes, or sticky liquids. It's subtle, but still enough to enhance your brow area. I love that it's not glittery or too shimmery. One end is a matte pink that brightens, and the other end is more of a satin color that adds just a tiny shimmer, but not too much--so you could wear this in the office without it being too dramatic. It blends well with eye shadows, so don't be afraid to use a cream pencil with powder shadows. There are a couple of different Brow Duality shades, but the one I have is shell and lace. Shell is a matte nude-pink and Lace is a subtle nude-gold. I LOVE to use the Shell shade in the inner corners of my eyes and use my finger to blend. I don't have to worry about any powder getting into my eyes and irritating my contacts, but it's also the perfect amount of highlight without creating a distraction. This is the perfect pencil to use with any eye look regardless of whether your look is au natural, soft, or dramatic. Even if you don't wear eye makeup, you can use a little bit of this to brighten your appearance in a subtle way.
