I am very very picky about my conditioners and I am extremely pleased with this! I have dry, very long, color treated hair that will turn into a field of dreadlocks without my 3 minute miracle. I didn't buy into the hype for so long and then I finally bit when a fellow beauty advisor at Estee Lauder said this is the only stuff she uses. It's very thick and lustrous and doesn't feel like it only costs 4-5.00. It feels like salon treatment! It smells yummy (like coconuts) and leaves my hair managable... I don't even need to brush it half the time and that to me is a miracle!

This is a good basic conditioner. I can usually tell how much I like something based on the fact I actually use it up. I bought this probably about three months ago and it does a fairly good job at conditioning. I have split ends and my hair is color treated so I KNOW this product can't work miracles... but maybe I was expecting more. Good marketing, cute bottle with quirky "rinse well and prosper" philosophy. I think this would be good for people with normal hair. I bought it because it said it's "good for combination hair w/ self adjusting moisturizers hydrating the dry tips". I have combo hair in that I have fine hair but A LOT of it and moisturizing conditioners can sometimes give me a bed case of "flat hair syndrome". I don't know if I'd repurchase... Maybe if I had a coupon:)

Another Mr. Gs "splurge". I was looking for a cheaper alternative to my Aveeno Daily Radiance Moisturizer and I stumbled across this. It promises to protect skin from both UVA/UVB rays as well as help create balance in your skin. The only other time I heard PH balance blah blah blah is with deoderant so I had to try it. So far, so good. It's nice and light but it's not a lotion. It's a texture in between lotion and cream. I bet this would work for all skin types because it's gentle and not too heavy or greasy at all. My dry, thirst winter skin is quite pleased with this product!

I used to only be able to use noxema or clinique gentle eye makeup remover to get the makeup off my face. I know, I know noxema in the eye area?! I was a kid... Anyway, this stuff works wonders for me and my waterproof mascara. It gets it all off! I used to wake up with residual raccoon eyes and have to scrub it off in the morning... or walk around unaware.. Not anymore. I agree it's a little greasy. With this stuff a little goes a LOOOONG way. Do what I do and dab a q-tip in the bottle. You only need a little bit, otherwise you WILL be wearing this shiny stuff until you wipe it off. I give it an above average rating for it's effectiveness AND the fact my eyes are very sensitive and this stuff doesn't burn them or make them itch. I wear soft contacts and I haven't had a problem yet! Good stuff at a good price.

I was looking for a cheaper product to replace my beloved Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Foaming Cleanser. After a few duds (Nuetregena CLEAN cleanser i hate you!) I came across this one. It lured me in with the promise of a cleanser that actually hydrates my skin. As far as the "boosting radiance" thing goes... I don't know about that. It's a good cleanser that lathers well and rinses away clean. It's still a little pricey, but the fact that I don't end up flakey and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin is a bonus. I'd reccomend it to people with dry or dry/sensitive skin but if your skin is ULTRA dry... sometimes it leaves me with a tightning feeling so it might not work for you. I definately give it an above average rating because this is one of the few drugstore cleansers I actually use all the way to the bottom of the tube!

I love the smell, the feel and the benefits of this product. My skin felt silky smooth, it had a nice pleasant, clean scent and I had radiant, breakout free skin the whole time I used it. I live in the northeast and our winters are... BRR... terrible for dry, flaky, sensitive skin like mine! I swear by this stuff at night because it preps my dry skin at night, for a brutal, windblown next day. With other moisturizers I'd still get the flaky nose, but it never happened while I used this. Great stuff... Allure is usually never wrong when they do their annual best of... and this is no exception!

Avon ANEW ADVANCED All-In-One MAX SPF 15 UVA/UVB Cream
Not as good as the ANEW Retroactive... GREASY!
I ordered this product thinking it was the same thing as my ANEW Retroactive moisturizer because it's ANEW and the jars look similar. I made a huge mistake in assuming they were one and the same. As soon as I started using this product I kind of knew something was wrong. It's a lot heavier than the ANEW retroactive and smells stronger (or more chemical). If I could compare the two I would say this had a texture simular to body butter as opposed to retroactive's creamy texture. So, like an idiot, I continued using the product because I thought maybe I just had a bad memory or they did something to improve the formula, or maybe my avon lady let this batch freeze in the car (who knows) and assumed it would work like my ANEW retroactive cream. It sure moisturized... but it smelled funny, even after it had evaporated into my skin, and it left my face feeling greasy. I have dry skin so I never really knew what that was like until I used this. Do to the greasy texture (I assume), I started getting little clusters of pimples. I never get them in clusters. Usually I get one or two big ones a month (maybe) not a whole family of zits. I had to stop using this and basically threw away 25.00. I can't even reccomend this to people with dry skin like me for fear they might break out. This stuff is heavy and greasy... but if you have really rugged, thirsty skin that isn't prone to breaking out... maybe it'll work for you.

Avon ANEW ULTIMATE Day Transforming Lift Cream SPF 15 UVA/UVB
Made me break out- not horrible but not great
It's a pleasant enough cream but it's kinda heavy and if you have sensitive skin like me, you could end up with a mini breakout. As far as moisturizers go, it worked effectively, as my skin never felt dry while I used this product. I'd give it an average rating based on the price point, which isn't horrible, but I didn't really see any of the extra benefits it talks about. All I saw was my skin was hydrated... but adaquate hydration was not worth the mini breakout in my t-zone area. As soon as I stopped using this product, my skin started to clear, though I was left with a few little guys from possible product build-up (?) I definately would not reccomend this to oily skin consumers... or people with sensitive skin.
