I thought my eye area could use a little extra moisture, but I haven't been happy with Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Balm. It smells a bit like herbs or vegetables and I don't find the fragrance at all pleasant. It's recommended for night use, and that's best because it leaves the area around my eyes very greasy. I never realized how much I touched my face until I tried this eye balm. On the plus side, it does appear to have improved the fine lines around my eyes, but the fragrance and texture are enough to encourage me to try a different brand next time.

I don't have dry skin, in fact it's a bit oily, but I'm addicted to trying anything new in the cosmetics department. I hadn't used Bobbi Brown products in a while, so I opted to try the Extra Balm Rinse. The Balm Rinse comes in a very heavy glass jar. When I first opened the jar, I was a little put off by the texture. It was thick and greasy, like Vaseline. However, I was won over by the citrusy scent. I massage the balm into dry skin while enjoying the orange peel fragrance, I then rinse it off with a washcloth. It comes off easily, taking my makeup with it, and leaves my skin feeling soft and not at all greasy. I only use it at night. If you aren't a fan of citrusy scents, you'll want to steer clear of this product. But if you like oranges and don't mind a thick, balm texture, it's a very nice product. It's expensive, but you only use a small amount, so it ought to last for at least 6 months if you use it once a day. Once opened, the product is good for two years.
