    Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer

    So far, my favorite concealer.

My aunt bought this for me as a christmas present and I'm just now starting to see the bottom of the pallet. I really like this stuff because it's the only thing that can conceal my dark circles so far. Everything else is too sheer. It doesn't cake or make lines under my eyes. Sometimes I use it on my nose if it's particularly red that day. I don't like it as a blemish concealer though because it starts to look bad over the day, but I rarely get blemishes so it's doesn't really matter. To apply, I usually put a little on my fingertip and blend into the skin.

    Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup

The best foundation I've ever used.

(I'm actually writing this portion a year after my initial review below. I have to say, this is still my all-time favorite foundation. The color matches my skin tone perfectly and looks great all day. :D) I've always hated foundations, but the lady at the clinique counter recommended this to me, so I took a free sample home. As soon as I ran out, I had to buy the tube! This stuff is perfect for my combination skin (early 20's, oily forehead and nose with an occasional pimple). It helps me stay matte, but of course I still have to blot with a tissue every once in awhile. This foundation is nice because it has a powdery finish instead of feeling wet and soggy, and it also doesn't come off easily if I rub something on my face (But soap and water work fine). I like it because it's pretty sheer, but buildable. So if I want some more coverage, I just need to add another layer. It matches my skin tone perfectly and just think that this is an all around great product. :)

  • Maybelline New York Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Stick Foundation

I'm not too thrilled. Usually I use my fingers to blend rather than a sponge. I have combination oily skin. I'll list my pros and cons: Pros: very soft and velvety feeling easy to blend the color is a pretty good match to my skin tone Cons: *bulky applicator makes it hard to apply to under eyes and around nose. *applies really thick and oily feeling and just feels like my skin can't breath. *hardly any staying power. Rubs off almost instantly. Honestly, I'll probably just end up giving this to one of my little sisters because I don't like it as a concealer as much as my boi-ing by benefit. It's not the worst. But in my opinion definitely not the best.

  • Clean & Clear Advantage Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser

I admit it, I bought into the commercial about the girl who got face grease on her phone. The stuff smells really nice and fresh, but really that's all there is to it. It doesn't clean my face well at all, and I still have the same amount of oil as I've had before. So even though there's nothing bad about it per se, I'd rather spend my money on something that does..... something. lol

  • Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lavender Mint Moisturizing Shampoo

Well, I didn't actually buy this brand, but the generic from Sally's. I think this is a fantastic shampoo for the price (on sale for around $5 for 16 oz) I just want to let you know that I LOVE name brands as much as any other girl (that $15.99 sale on shampoo at ULTA is my best friend) but I also like to get a great deal. I've tried off brands for other shampoos before, but this one is actually nice because it smells amazing, works really well to invigorate my scalp, makes my hair feel very light and puffy, and you only need a small amount for your hair because it lathers really well. The only thing is that I probably won't recommend this for people with frizzy or dry hair because it does dry it out. But for people like me with flat and oily hair, this stuff is amazing.

  • Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes
    1.0

    Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

Removes makeup as well as water, but stings too.

This is the worst makeup remover I've ever bought. I usually use neutrogena or ponds, both of which I love because they remove makeup quickly, smell good, and don't sting. I decided to buy this because the wipes are biodegradable, but so far that is the only thing going for it. Say yes to cucumbers burns my skin the second it comes into contact! I can't believe on the package it says to keep away from eye area. What else is there to remove? Foundation? Because last time I checked, my foundation comes off just fine with my normal facial wash. It's the eye makeup I need to remove. And I only wear mascara and a little bit of eye liner, but it has trouble removing even that. Bottom line - if you want a facial wipe that burns your skin, makes your eyes bright red if just a tiny bit gets into them, and doesn't remove makeup fully, buy Say Yes to Cucumbers.

  • Olay Oil Minimizing Clean Toner
    3.0

    Olay Oil Minimizing Clean Toner

If you have oily skin - run away!

I bought this because I thought that perhaps the oil minimizing toner would do that - minimize oil. I'm 20, so even though I do the best to exfoliate and cleanse with acne products, I usually have one to two small pimples on my face. I tried this product because I thought it would help cut down on the oil my face produced (my forehead makes my bangs look greasy by the end of the day) I tried the toner for a week, and started breaking out like no tomorrow, so stopped. Last week, I decided to try it again, thinking maybe it was just coincidence. Wrong. At the last day that I used it, I counted NINE pimples on my face! I felt disgusting. And of course, as soon as I stopped using the toner, my breakout went away. It's been a week since I stopped using it and I haven't gotten a new pimple since. So my take on the product: good if you don't have oily skin (which defeats the purpose of the toner). Also, I do have to admit that it made my face feel very smooth and nice after putting it on.
