  • Smooth Away Hair Removal

My friend got these and she thinks they're great. I beg to differ. I tried them and it leaves my skin ashy like I've just filed it and it burns when you're trying to "buff" the hair away. It almost feels like I'm using one of those nail shine tools on my skin! It took forever just to do my arm and there were spots that were still hairy so I just gave up and used the razor. This is a good concept but the product failed to live up to the expectations.

  • L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Beauty Tubes

I received a full sized "sample" of this mascara from Allure (gotta love em) & I really like it. I actually use it strictly as an everyday mascara since it doesn't smear. Also, because the formula doesn't do much for volume. After about 2-3 uses I just quit using the primer all together. I've never liked white lash primers. They are just an odd unneeded step for me and add clumps, plus the white is hard to cover. So I just use the mascara side. Although it may not make my lashes extraordinarily long, it does noticeably improve their length. I also love how it washes off so easily, so I don't have to use nasty oily eye makeup removers or scrub my lashes with a baby wipe. This saves my lashes from damage. With a brief rinse of water, this stuff deteriorates. All the little tubes fall off and it might actually scare you because it appears to be clumps of actual eyelashes, so be prepared! :D Overall, I think this mascara is great if you are just going for a day look, but for night, you might want to try something else.

  • Maybelline New York Great Lash Washable Mascara

I love the formula of this mascara. It adds the perfect amount of length and volume. I think that the brush needs to be redesigned though. It hinders the formulas abilities by being unable to separate and define lashes. I got so fed up with it that I actually washed off an old (but reliable) brush from another mascara to use with this. It worked a lot better after that. I ended up having to tape the brush handle onto it though because it didn't fit. Once I did that, it made my mascara dry up a lot faster than usual and I had to dispose of it. I'm not so into the mascara that I'm willing to do that again. I'd rather stick with my Neutrogena Healthy Volume mascara, thank you!

  • Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

    Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

Formula Great, Shimmer... Not So Much!

I bought this because I wanted some color in my chapstick. I loved their regular lip balms and I figured this one would be great also... but I was wrong. It went on super glittery (so much so that you can actually feel it on your lips). I got one of the light pink shades and it looked (and felt) horrible. It was worse than frosted lipstick. I think the only thing I liked about this is the wonderfully delicious peppermint smell.

  • CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Liner
    8.0

    CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Liner

    Lasts A Long Time...

One of the main problems I've had with liquid eyeliner is the staying power. I have oily eyelids and if I line my upper lashline, I usually end up with black lines in my creases. I've been using this for a couple of months now and I have yet to have that problem. I even used it through PE and it didn't budge. It has great shape and formula. The only problem I have is the tip. It's very particular when it comes out. You can't really have anything on your skin when you're applying this or it will stop the eyeliner from gliding on consistently, and will drag. I usually end up having to dab the tip on a moist paper towel to get it right again. You also can't go over it very well because the tip will smudge it off in places (which will dry out the tip) and leave you with "bare spots" in your line. It has a great formula, but its applicator needs more work!

  • Sonia Kashuk Creme Bronzer with Blush Duo

I initially picked this up for its looks and colors, not so much because I needed it. I am happy with the colors on my skin tone. The only problem is the intensity of it, you have to be careful not to add to much product because it gets dramatically darker each time you layer it. I probably won't repurchase this product because it doesn't last on my oily skin, but I would reccomend it to people I know that don't have that problem.

  • Sonia Kashuk Face Palette Compact

I thought this product was very nice. The colors were very natural and accentuated my brown eyes. The liner was good although I primarily opt for black. I didn't care too much for the blush though, it was coordinated well with my hair but not at all for my skin tone. The concealers were nice but one of them was to light and the darker one was kind of off in color. I think it would've been nice to match colors to skin color and hair. I would reccomend this product to friends and gift it.

  • Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette

This was the first fairly successful concealer I have ever used. I was pretty happy with it. I liked the nice color selection and the small packaging. The cons for me were the small tools (like I was seriously gonna attempt using those) which forced me to use my fingers (which is very unsanitary during touch ups throughout the day). I had mine for a year and then the plastic cover broke out of it. Every other time I opened it the small tools fell out onto the floor. You also can't apply too much of the concealer under your eyes or it will accentuate wrinkles. Other than those reasons, if you have a a full sized concealer brush and have mastered the technique of less is more, than this product is worth it.
