    Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream

    So far I'm loving this...

Tried this out last night as was a bit afraid that I'd wake up with zits and/or a puffy face. Woke up with neither and saw that my skin looked well hydrated, smooth, bright and no redness to be seen. The fine lines I have around my eyes were still there, I'm 30 btw, so that was disappointing. Still though the fact that my moody and sensitive skin liked this made it a winner in my book. One of the ingredients in this is allantoin which is an anti irritant along with lavender which also works as a antiseptic and anti inflammatory ingredient. With these in the cream I know that my skin will get along with it. My skin breaks out at the drop of a hat if I don't keep it really clean and/or if I touch it with unwashed hands. I've found that using lavender essential oil and products with the oil in it helps keep the germs at bay thus keeping my skin from breaking out. As for the mini-peel claims on the box? I've never had one so I don't know if that's true when it comes to this product. But for keeping my skin moisturized and blemish free so far it's doing the trick. Also love that it's not shiny or greasy looking and sinks in amazingly fast! Will keep buying this if my skin gets along with it.

  • Olay Sensitive Moisture Therapy Lotion

From high end to low end for a few years I've been on the hunt for the perfect plain ole moisturizer. One that isn't heavy or greasy or too light or will break my moody skin out etc. . This was the winner and I use this in warm weather months for light hydration. Absorbs quickly and works great under makeup. Also the price at around $6 is a dream! I weep when I think of all the money I've spent before I found this! lol!

  • Mary Kay Compact

    Mary Kay Compact

    So-so...

Compact is nice. Sleek and is great for travel since it cuts down on the bulk of individual packaging. The finish on this compact scratches easily which makes it look beat up quickly. Maybe Mary Kay should include a bag to put this in like Chantecaille does for some of their makeup products. The tins of the actual shadows and blushes are really thin which means they don't hold alot of product like the old shadows and blushes did. Also the shadows/blushes, because of the side-by-side layout, spill onto the other pans and the colors get kind of mixed in with each other which I don't like. I've also heard that some women's skin is reacting to the ingredients in this new mineral line and getting puffy eyes from the shadows etc. but I've not experienced this. Don't like that Mary Kay has switched to all minerals and don't give consumers a choice of mineral and non mineral makeup. Also don't like that I have to buy a new compact for the new makeup. I feel like as a consumer this was sprung on me AND I especially don't like that my rep won't let me swap my old compact for the new one free of charge. I thought that the consumer came first as Mary Kay product catalogs used to stress and apparently that's not true anymore.
