Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Great as a moisturizer or mask

I have very oily skin, a problem which is annually aggravated by the humid mid-Atlantic summer. I've worked in cosmetics for nearly 5 years (and got my start working at a Clinique counter for a year) and have tried countless moisturizers for oily skin. Every summer I find myself going back to this one - it is the only thing I can use in the summer without breaking out. Its important to note that, according to Clinique, this is not intended to be a stand-alone moisturizer. It was originally designed as a supplement to the the Dramatically Different moisturizer, for extra hydration and use as a mask. For dry skin, this works very well in conjunction with a heavier moisturizer. However, a person with dry skin SHOULD NOT use this alone. It will not be enough moisture for you!

    Korres Natural Products Yogurt Cream

    Didn't think I would like it...but it's AMAZING!

I always like to add a disclaimer that I am big fan of most Korres products. I first bought this moisturizer as part of the Yogurt Regimine kit, and as such, it was the last product I tried. After using the White Tea Cleanser, the Yogurt Mask, and the Primrose eye cream, I though I had reached skincare nirvana. Then I went to try the moisturizer and was absolutely horrified to find that it looked like melted marshmallow on my hands. As someone with oily skin, I've grown accustomed to the 'gel-cream' texture many companies offer. Then I put in on my face. Although I agree with other users that it is not the fastest-absorbing moisturizer, this made my skin feel fantastic. Its super hydrating without feeling greasy or making me shiny (which has always been a problem with my skin.) I would highly recommend this moisturizer to anyone who is oily! Initially, the texture may be a turn off to some. If you prefer a gel-cream texture, try the Korres Pomegranate Gel-Cream for Oily/combo skin, or the Clinique Moisture Surge, a longtime favorite of mine.

Korres Natural Products Evening Primrose Eye Cream

Great "Starter" Eye Cream for Younger Skin

I'm a big fan of most Korres products, but I had low expectations for this eye cream. Turns out, I absolutely love it. It's nice and creamy, without feeling heavy or 'sticky' around the eye area, an unfortunate trait I've found in the many, many eye creams I've tried recently (Clinique, Khiels, Bobby Brown, etc). Something to keep in mind though - this is not the most powerful anti-aging eye cream out there. It is not supposed to be! It seems like some of the more negative reviews here are from users who expected more from the eye cream than it was designed to provide. That's why I'm calling this a good "starter" eye cream. It's great for hydration, which is key to PREVENTING signs of aging around the eyes. The vitamin C in the formula will also do a LITTLE BIT for fine lines and brightening the area. However, this eye cream is not supposed to address/reverse significant sign of aging in the eye area. For that, you may want to dry the Wild Rose line, or the Olive and Rye line (if you are very dry). All in all, this is a great eye cream for someone in the 20-34 age group who is looking for hydration and prevention. If you are looking for a significant reduction in the appearance of fine lines, you will be disappointed.

    Korres Natural Products Yogurt Mask

    Perfect Mask for Dehydrated Skin

I've been using this mask for a few weeks and it is fantastic. Its great for replenishing moisture, and there is a noticeable difference in the hydration level and softness of the skin after just 10-15 minutes. My skin is not particularly sensitive, although I do need to avoid mineral oil and silicone in my skincare products. Thankfully, the entire Korres line is free of those two ingredients. This mask is perfect for someone with oily or combination skin, who an needs extra boost of hydration, but whose skin wont tolerate a heavier mask. I have worked in the cosmetics industry for five years and tried a ton of different masks and this one is superior by far. For the sake of comparison, take the two masks made by Laura Mercier. One is a lightweight gel mask, the other is a heavier, creamy moisture mask. Both are wonderful products but my skin ideally needs something in between. The Korres Yogurt mask is perfectly "in between."
