This is the only brand I use. Not because it goes on easily (it doesn't do that) or blendable (giggle) or even because it's a good price (not really that either). I use it because it's the only thing light enough for my face. And I really wish it wasn't, even if the alternative was even spendier.

Jane Be Pure Mineral Eyeshadow

my new favorite

I got this as part of a Christmas present and so far it's managed to displace my old standby. This is a nice cross between regular mineral eyeshadow and the regular stuff. It's not loose, not over the top shiny, but it still has mad staying power in spite of my super oily skin. The color selection could use some improvement but if it's still on the shelf when I run out I will be getting more.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

DO NOT USE

When one of my meds started making my skin dry out for a while, this was one of the few things I could use. But it had so many issues it wasn't even funny. It wouldn't take off any of my makeup, it smelled odd, and made my acne worse. One of my male friends said something about the... consistency of it. That was the last straw for me. Do not use this, there are better things for super dry skin and they are worth the money.

Good things: does a lot of whitening in one shot, really good price if you know where to look, no strips to fall off the teeth. Bad things: makes teeth hurt like crazy, makes teeth hurt like crazy. And yes, it was bad enough to justify repeating that. If you've got sensitive teeth, don't even think about it. If you don't, this stuff might still bother you. For masochists and those desperate for fast results only.

Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Hi Hold + Hi Shine Hair Spray

for once in a while

This is for hair emergencies -only-. It will make your hair look good through an eight hour shift at McTorture no matter what's wrong with it, but you don't dare leave the house hatless for a couple days afterward because there is -nothing- that will undo the damage that fast. My hair tends to put up with anything and I wouldn't dare use this on a regular basis.

Jason Purifying Tea Tree Deodorant Stick

cheap and effective

This was the third of the natural deodorants I tried in search of something I wasn't allergic to. There was the crystal stick, the Tom's of Maine stuff, and this. I probably wouldn't have given this a second look after finding something that worked if I wasn't still stinging from the price of the other stuff. But I was, and it's a good thing because this stuff works better, too. I love this stuff, and won't be switching brands anytime soon.

Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Stick

could be better, could be worse

This isn't half bad compared to other natural deodorants I've tried. Compared to regular ones, it's not that good. Then again nothing natural is. It does the job well enough for me. If I was a construction worker or something along those lines, maybe it wouldn't. But I'm not. I will admit the price isn't what I'm used to paying. But it is a natural deodorant, that comes with the territory. Overall, it's passable but nothing great.

C.O. Bigelow Rosemary Mint Body Cleanser

good acne cleanser... seriously!

I love this stuff. It was the one thing that worked this summer when I started breaking out and everything either wrecked my skin more or didn't work. It's definitely on the spendier side, but nothing else will do the job for me. Nice for sensitive skin.
