Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Daily Conditioner Relax - Tranquil Mint
Migraine/allergy sufferers, consider a sample before buying
I keep going into Bath and Body Works and winding up disappointed. There is *something* that the company uses as a base for seemingly all their fragrances (though some to a greater degree than others) that acts as an allergy/migraine trigger for me. The Tranquil Mint line isn't quite as bad about this as some others in the Aromatherapy line, but it does have that effect, especially if I use it frequently. It's a shame, because it performs fairly well, but having nice hair is sort of pointless if I'm laid up in a dark room for a day or more.

I love the scent of the Shampure line of products - and this is saying something as I tend to be sensitive (whee, migraine!) to certain fragrances, especially those used in inexpensive, heavily scented products (Bath and Body Works, I'm looking at you). In fact, I can't think of an Aveda product with a scent I don't enjoy. Unfortunately, this is just a little too pricey for my budget now. I've found that it just isn't sufficiently moisturizing as my hair has gotten longer as well. I just wish I could find an inexpensive alternative. As it is, I'm currently relegated to the hair care aisle of the local Target sniffing each conditioner to try to determine it's potential migraine rating...

I've found it a bit drying in the past, even with its companion conditioner, so this is another reason for passing. I just wish I could find an inexpensive alternative. Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Normal
Good inexpensive choice
I tend to hate the way most sunscreen lotions feel, especially on my face - sort of hot and sticky. The Olay complete seems to breathe much better than many others, however. I use the sensitive fragrance free version for sun protection during the day now that I'm using Retin-A micro (evenings) and Duac (mornings) and thus run the risk of major sun damage. It does well handling flaking/peeling from the prescription products early in the day, but doesn't quite make it all day (I don't know that anything else would. No stinging, despite my sensitized skin. And it works reasonably well under my mineral makeup.
