M.A.C. Eye Shadow

Awesome

MAC eyeshadows truly are one of the best. Everyone has said it before, but the color selection, intensity of the pigment, staying power, and amount you get for the price are all great. Plus the lid is great, I find screwing off a lid a bit too cumbersome. This is a high quality shadow, and for $16 you can afford to buy multiples, unlike comparable shadows like Nars, Dior, etc.

Nars Single Eye Shadow

Staple

This is an absolute staple in my makeup bag. The color selection is a dream come true, the intensity of the colors is great, and it has good staying power (though I still prep with Too Faced Shadow Insurance). The colors are interesting and not your run of the mill taupe, beige, etc. You can really build up color with these shadows, but even with a light dusting it's absolutely gorgeous. It's a bit pricey, but it lasts forever, and the quality is so high that it's worth it.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer

Completely Necessary

I first bought this when I was unable to find Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after trying it, I realized this was one of my favorite products ever. I have asian eyes that are recessed and a bit oily, so eye shadow staying put has always been an issue. At night my shadow without any touch ups still looks great. Once after a hard night I went to bed without washing my face, and no joke the next day my eye liner and shadow still looked great. The trick is to use a tiny little bead on your finger, rub it in, and wait 30 seconds or so for it to set. Then apply shadow, and you'll be set to go for the whole day!
