Good Everyday Conditioner for Hair Health

I do think Alterna makes superior products. For someone with hair less "needy" than mine, this conditioner might work miracles. Alterna's Caviar Hair Mask works miracles for me while this Hemp conditioner just keeps my hair in "good" condition. I'd compare it to Redken's All Soft for basic results, but long term, I'd prefer to use the Alterna Hemp for my light conditioning days if it makes sense to do so. Alterna can be prohibitively expensive. So far I've lucked out and I've been finding some items in the line on clearance in my local beauty store. This Alterna Hemp conditioner is worth a try, it is definitely above average.

Alterna Caviar Hair Masque

It's Been Years Since My Hair Was This Soft And Shiny!

When I found Redken's All Soft line, I was very pleased. My dry, curly, coarse, color-treated hair was finally calming down! Then I noticed a jar of Alterna Caviar Hair Mask on clearance and thought I'd give it a try. You have to use it exactly as instructed, and when you do, WOW!! My hair feels silky and has shine - something I hadn't seen in my hair in years! This is an incredible product for my hair type, but you must follow the instructions for use. I tried using it a few different ways at first and the results were only mediocre. Once I followed the instructions, the difference was immense. So wet your clean hair, leave the treatment on for 5-10 minutes and rinse out. You'll see the results once your hair is dry. Even if I have to pay full price, I cannot live without this stuff!! Can't wait to try other products in the line!

Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel

Priced Right, Does The Job

Though I've exfoliated for years, this is the first Glycolic Peel I've ever tried. For exfoliation, I find it very effective. My skin looks evenly textured and brighter, even after the first use. It's so simple to use and takes just a moment, simply swipe the presoaked pad across your skin. There are some downsides. There's a tingly/burning sensation at first and it takes a few moments before it stops. It can be a bit uncomfortable, but my skin has become less sensitive to it over time. I also made the mistake of swiping the pad too close to my undereye area the first time I tried the product. The skin around my eyes felt like I had a sunburn for a week! Luckily, the skin "looked" normal the whole time. It was a mistake I did not repeat. Though I did make a different mistake. I applied a Vitamin C treatment too soon after the Glycolic Peel, ouch! I recommend using Anew at night before going to bed and not doing anything else to your skin until the next morning. Using the product in this manner has worked very well for me. I peel using Anew 1-2 times per week, though you can use it up to every other day. At times, Avon will have a "buy one, get one" sale and it will be priced at $15 per jar so you can stock up.
