How long have I been using this lip balm?? So long I can't even remember. Its been repeated over and over how wonderful this stuff but X number of bloggers and vloggers. It has that reputation for a reason. My lips get really irritated in the winter and I need that extra minty kick to sooth them! This is the stuff.

I had been using Estee Lauder's Splash Away face wash until they changed packaging (and it seems, formulas). I found this at Ulta and was a bit off put by the price. But, oh my, goodness. This stuff takes of my Kat Von D and Revlon Colorstay wonderfully and doesn't cause breakouts or irritation (and I have been face lasering!) Wonderful stuff! My standby!

In the winter my skin gets incredibly dry, tight and scratchy. I picked up a travel size bottle of this and then got the full size! It works great and absorbs fast. I wish it had a different scent (it reminds me of the cheap generic lotion my grandma used when i was a kid :\ ) but that doesn't matter too much since it works wonderfully. And hey, its got shea butter and vitamin E!

The search for a creamy high quality long wearing BLACKEST BLACK eyeliner is over. My standbys in the past have been MAC's Powerpoint eye pencil in Engraved and years before that it was Covergirl's Perfect Point Plus in Black Onyx. Urban Decay must have a contract with the devil because this is such good stuff! LOL I bought this at Sephora and sadly I have no way to get this where I live other than ordering online. :( Next time I'm buying in bulk! 16 bucks per pencil is worth it.

Maybelline New York Superstay Gloss
weird uneven application, harder to remove than the superstay lipstick
I had really good luck with L'oreal Infallible gloss so I figured a stayput gloss is always more of a good thing to have in my "makeup toolbox" (as my fiance calls it). This is a no. The application is uneven and leaves big creases on my lips despite leaving it dry for the full 2 minutes (I even let it dry for over that and experimented with around 30 to a minute seconds to no avail). Plus I had to scrub the stuff off to get it removed and still wasn't completely off - it left a weird ring around my lips (AND on the spot where I tried it on my hand). I bought color 103 (there is printing over the color number so I can't see it too well). The color was cute so maybe it was just the shade I got that didn't apply quite right. I think I'll still stick to the Infallible line of glosses.

This is some really great shampoo for its price (I paid 99 cents). It makes my hair feel pretty clean. Although it doesn't seem as clarifying another salon brand I've used before - though my hair is color processed, very thick and very long with oily roots and sometimes dry ends. This does act as a great balancing shampoo. The lather is good (contains sls though) and it has an amazing smell. The vanilla must be completely synthetic though as I didn't see an extract (there IS peppermint extract) on the label.

When I have a cold or really irritated lips, I need to have some medicated lip stuff. I was out of my regular Burt's Bees (love it!) and decided to try this. The roller ball is nice and feel cool when you put it on your lips and it is medicated to the right degree BUT it feels horribly oily and doesn't seem like it lasts that long! If you're going to buy Blistex, don't get this unless you don't mind too much about the oily feel. They (Blistex) make stuff called "Lip Medex" in a little blue pot that is fantastic that I suggest.

I have some skin issues and this is great because this covers well and the coverage is buildable. What is great about Prescriptives is the color matching though I have noticed you have to determine that the girl at the counter is a seasoned Prescriptives person - the newer counter girls don't seem to color match as well. Also, get a sample of your shade before you buy the whole thing and wear it in different lighting. I've switched around 3 colors in the past few years but I've been wearing Rose for about a year solid. I ran out of this foundation last month and was panicy and I attempted to go with other drugstore brand....NOTHING compares to this stuff. It may be 40 bucks, but nothing beats a good base for makeup.

L'Oreal Paris Ideal Skin Genesis Deep-Action Night Complex
Soft texture, great night time moisturizer
I use this at night after I wash my face. Its especially nice in the winter when my skin tends to get tight and dry. I'm pretty young so at this point I'm just using it as a preventative measure but for now its a fantastic night moisturizer. The product texture is also great and has a very "soft" feel. The tube thingy has also lasted me a while (6 months or so) and I've been using it every night as I remember.

This is THE stuff. I was reading the top 22 user recommended facial cleansers and was so happy to see this on there! Most sales people at cosmetic counters are too pushy and try to sell me crap that won't work/that I don't need. but when I was recommended this years ago, I was so thankful to the sales lady! She gave me a trial size to use before I spent 20 bucks on the stuff (though it is DEFINITELY worth the cash). The tube is also very good to travel with this and it really eases the application of makeup. A plus: It lasts FOREVER (3+ months) and I was my face twice a day.
