I have naturally blonde hair and I like to keep my hair a dark brunette shade. I used to visit the salon frequently to maintain my hair color. Even though I love salon results, maintenance is expensive. So, I have been using Clairol Natural Instincts in "Nutmeg" every six to eight weeks for the past six months. The results are fantastic! The color is shiny, rich, and natural looking ("nutmeg" works on me because I have naturally dark brows). I get compliments on my hair color regularly. The biggest bonus is that it makes my hair SO soft and smooth. In addition, the application is easy, quick and doesn't smell too bad: just make sure to coat your hairline with Vaseline during the coloring process so it doesn't stain your skin (the dye stays on for a couple of days if you don't). It's definitely saved me a lot of money without comprising the quality of my hair color.

Zeno Mini

Not worth the money

I have mild acne. I tend to break out around my periods and every once in a while I get a HUGE pimple. I thought the Zeno Mini would deter the gigantic blemishes I get. I used the Zeno Mini as directed and applied the device when I could "feel a blemish coming on" and reused it as indicated in the brochure. The device actually made my blemishes worse. They still become large, fill with pus, and now my skin becomes irritated because of the heat component. I don't have very sensitive skin so I do not believe that is the problem. Just another Acne treatment with big claims and little results.

I'm always interested in products that provide a nice color without the damage of the sun. Even though this allows you to apply to hard to reach areas as it is a spray-on product, I still found that I had streaks and an uneven color after use. For my particular skin type and color (fair-medium), the color was not "orangey" at all. Unfortunately, the smell is not pleasant and the spray doesn't not moisturize dry skin well. However, for normal skin, the product works quite well if you can have another person spray the product on your back and legs for you. My roommates are pros at tanning application now!

Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets

I'm not entirely sure what I used before finding this product a few years ago. The Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets work well for anyone (especially guys who are afraid of using make-up) with an oily complexion that does not want a layer of make-up on their face to mask shininess. There's something intriguing and disgusting about seeing the excess oil on your face come off on the silky smooth blue sheets. After blotting my face and looking at the sheet I think "I cannot believe all of that oil was on my skin!"

Proactiv Renewing Cleanser

ProActiv 3 Step System Did Not Work For Me

I tried using the general ProActiv system to improve my complexion. I suffer from mild to moderate acne. I usually have a few blemishes around my mouth and I thought the ProActiv system would clear up that area. Unfortunately, I don't think that this system is beneficial for users with sensitive skin. The cleanser has a gritty texture that irritated my skin. The toner, while helpful at removing excess make-up, is not as refreshing as other brands I have used. Finally, the repairing lotion made my skin dry and flaky. After 2 months of carefully applying the system as directed, I saw no significant difference in my skin's appearance.
