The first mineral makeup that I recall coming out was the ID BareMinerals. I like to try new things so obviously, I had to take a shot at trying this foundation. I do not have very large pores but I do have some fine lines and some deep grooves in my nasolabial folds. I like full coverage when it comes to foundation and I found that the more product I used to cover imperfections, the more it settled into the nasolabial folds. The product is best used for light to medium coverage for someone like me. The DVD that comes with the Start Up kit does explain that only a minimal amt of the product is needed for the whole face and you could add more if you want more coverage. I guess if you want heavier coverage, you have to deal with it settling into lines and grooves although all foundations I have used do the same thing. I do enjoy the Bare Minerals makeup and they have a lot to offer. I have a large supply of their products and there is a lot you can do with them once you learn how to combine them. Don't count out the Bare Minerals yet, just use a little less.

I am currently using Laura Mercier Foundation Primer and I found that it takes quite a bit of time to dry. I am pressed for time in the am when I am getting ready and don't have much time to let a product sit until it dries. I do have dry skin so it does help with moisturizing my skin which enables me to use less moisturizer but my biggest complaint is that it doesn't dry on contact. I have to do other things after applying it before I can put on my foundation. illuminizer or whatever else I plan to use. It is certainly not the worst primer I've used but definitely not the best.

BareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25
BE Tinted Mineral Veil is like lifting the veil of a bride to expose the beauty beneath
Truly love BE Tinted Mineral Veil. I use it before and after applying BE mineral foundation. I found that the tinted mineral veil lends a bit of color so that less foundation and blush is needed. It gives the complexion a soft finish with a hint of color and truly brings out the beauty of your complexion. I am 43 years old and have not had any problem with the powder sinking into fine lines and wrinkles. It gives me more of a flawless look and I also enjoy wearing it alone over moisturizer to just add a hint of color without wearing too much makeup. The tinted mineral veil really reveals the beauty that lies beneath it.
