    Nars Blush

    Great for certain occasions

I do really love this blush. The color looks really flattering on almost any skin tone and the staying power is quite good. It's a splurge item for me but the container lasts quite awhile so it's certainly worth it! I do however, have one warning and that is that this blush (at least every shade I've seen) is quite shimmery so it is more of a night-out-makeup than a day to day look; also, if you have lots of blemishes or lines, you would do well to avoid this product as it will only emphasize flaws.

    Revlon Doubletwist Volumizing Mascara

    I couldn't even use it

I can't complain too much because I didn't actually purchase this mascara; my aunt gave it to me. Wow so I wanted to try this mascara cause hey, I'm a sucker for gimmicky mascara brushes and I saw the ads for this mascara promising lots of volume! Well I'm glad I didn't waste any money on this because I could not use it. Not even once. I opened it up and the formula was so unbelievably thick and dry that it would not coat my lashes at all. I don't know if i received a defective one, but even if the formula was usable, the brush design means that you get way too much mascara on your brush and waste a tone of it by wiping it off before you can actually apply any.

  • L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base

I did actually like this product even though it was a little thick. I found that a little really goes a long way with this product and when I use a small amount and spread a thin layer, it does a wonderful job of evening out my skin texture without feeling too heavy, especially if I moisturize first. I also find that it's quite build-able so you can add more as needed. I have used Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer and MAC's Primer and I liked Smashbox's primer a tiny bit better just because it feels lighter but in terms of how well it works there is not really a huge difference between the three for me. So if you are looking to save some cash, definitely try out L'Oreal's base.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Blush

This is pretty much the only blush that gives me the perfect everyday shade; most shades I find are too light and don't show up on my olive, darker skin tone or else are mush too dramatic for everyday use. It doesn't even really look like makeup when it's on but rather like a natural flush. It has great staying power so be careful of how much you put on because it can be a bit of a pain to lighten if you put on too much (but you can fix it by applying a thin layer of foundation powder over it). It isn't at all heavy even though it lasts the whole day and despite being a powder it does not dry me out at all.

  • L'Oreal Paris EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque

This is a must have for anyone with dry, damaged, or color treated hair. While it obviously isn't going to make your split ends disappear (no hair product right now can do that, they can only make it look better or make it less damage prone) it will soften your hair and make it super soft, shiny, and manageable. You'll eventually see that your hair won't frizz as much after continuous use - trust me, this is the only leave-in that has done that for me- and if you're trying to preserve color then it does quite a good job of that as well.

  • L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

I loved almost everything about this mascara! It really delivers on dark, super black pigmentation and will really elongate your lashes which is great normally, but I look for mascaras that add more volume because i already have really long curly lashes. It does add some volume and it never clumped on my lashes, but it wasn't really as much as I would have liked. If you need length more than volume I highly recommend this mascara but if you want volume, then pass on this one and try Million Lashes instead.

  • L'Oreal Paris Ideal Skin Genesis Daily Treatment Serum Concentrate

now i can't really comment on how well this serum works at anything dealing with anti-aging (I'm only 21) but I will say it works great as a moisturizer. It goes on so light and you'll forget you have it on because it absorbs so quickly and thoroughly. I have combination skin and sometimes have really dry spots (especially in winter) while still having to deal with oily spots so this works perfectly for me because it packs enough moisturizing power to smooth out flaky, dry spots and is so lightweight that I don't have any issues with feeling oily or greasy. It makes my skin feel silky and smooth and I love it.

  • L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion Carbon Black Mascara

I didn't really like this mascara all that much because it didn't do what I want. It will lengthen your lashes so if that's what you need, go for it. For me, I was hoping that I could get volume as my lashed are already quite long and curly. While the little brush does help a little with volume, it adds more length than volume and because the brush is so small you can get into the very corners. It does however, tend to clump more than with the original Telescopic Mascara brush so you might fare better with just buying the original.

  • L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Kohl Eyeliner

While the effect of this quite nice, if you aren't pretty experienced with makeup application it can be a bit problematic. I didn't really have fall out issues but the look just wasn't what I expected. It does give a nice smokey look but it wasn't as dark or pigmented as I like so it isn't going to be a repurchase for me. You can get the same look just as easily with shadows.

  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup

I don't really like liquid foundations in the first place, but this is wearable. It wasn't too difficult to blend, especially if you only need a little on some problem areas and it doesn't take long to set so that worked in it's favor. I didn't have much of a problem finding my perfect shade either and I liked that it was actually unscented, but it felt a bit heavy which is a deal breaker for me since my skin can tend to get oily, especially in hotter months which would just leaving my skin feeling like a mess. If you like liquid foundations though, I would definitely try this product and just add a bit of your moisturizer to it to lighten the feel of it.
