  • Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Repairing Conditioner

This conditioner certainly isn't bad but there are definitely better (some cheaper) options. It does a decent job moisturizing without weighing hair down. It was one of many conditioners I tried to restore my hair when I was in my dye-happy, hot-iron wielding stage. With the beating my hair took, this did help keep my hair from extreme damage but I find that it isn't as moisturizing as Aussie brand conditioners or the conditioners in L'Oreal's sulfate free lines.

    Lancôme Définicils

    Love the Brush

I lucked out when my grandmother got a Lancome makeup kit gift with one of her of purchases. She's not a big makeup user so she gave it to me! Hurray for free makeup! Anyway, this mascara was contained in the gift & I was excited to try it since I've heard lots of rave reviews for it. The actual mascara isn't particularly noteworthy but I do love the brush. The brush is perfect for getting to edge lashes and bottom lashes without incident & it actually grabs the hair to evenly distribute product throughout the lash. The actual mascara... I can take it or leave it. It won't flake on you but isn't particularly long-lasting. It is however, hard to wash off. It won't clump but I suspect that is due to the great brush. In any case, I wouldn't purchase this. I have long, curly lashes but I am lacking in the volume department so I look for good volume and this just doesn't provide enough volume for me. Even if you have the cash to splurge on this, I'd say try a different pricey brand like Dior Show which gives a much bigger impact. If you don't have the cash to spend on this, don't save up & just get a drugstore brand because you aren't missing anything.

    Nars Mascara

Don't Get How Nars Put This Out

This products does nothing. Actually, it clumps but other than that, it does nothing. Lucky me, I have long, curly lashes so even if it didn't add the volume I wanted, it could've still looked decent right? Wrong. My lashes actually looked shorter from the clumpy mess & it weighed down my natural curl. This is surprising to me since I usually like Nars' products and expect better quality from this brand. What makes it extra bad is when you see the price tag though. Considering the price, I expected a lot more but this wasn't even as good as some drugstore brand mascaras. The only reason it's not a 1 star is because I got it free from someone who didn't like this mascara but had an extra tube of it so I didn't spend a cent on it.

  • Arrid Extra Extra Ultra Clear Spray

This product works best for keeping me dry. It is a really good product that drys quickly, lasts all day, and leaves no residue, but there are two things that keep me from using it on a regular basis: 1. I usually can't find the unscented version which I strongly prefer because the scents they offer are either too strong or rather masculine for my liking & 2. After extended use, it will dry my underarm skin. It's not terrible drying & I'll still use this product but I usually will keep another brand on hand & switch if I notice it starting to dry.

  • Avon DARING DEFINITION Mousse Mascara

This would really only do anything if you're starting out with naturally pretty lashes or if you really like a natural look. I found that it didn't really add length or volume, mostly just tinting. I didn't really have a problem with clumps or having it run everywhere but do note that this mascara takes longer than most to dry properly even if you are using a little.

  • Physicians Formula Retro Glow Liquid Kohl Eyeliner

This rates as "okay" for me. I thought I was purchasing a black, but it was really more of a pewter color which I ended up loving. I didn't mind too much because it was a pretty color and the product worked well. It wasn't super long-lasting but it lasted through-out a school day without incident. The consistency was fine, maybe a little on the watery side but it wasn't a huge problem considering how quickly it dries on your lid. The packaging was really cute but not all hat practical since the top is a bit of a pain.

  • Physicians Formula Baked Collection Wet/Dry Eye Shadow

I loved this stuff but I can never find it anymore! The colors were really pretty & long-lasting when applied wet, worked more as a wash of color when applied dry.

  • Physicians Formula Concealer 101 Perfecting Concealer Duo

I really liked the concept of this but it just didn't deliver. The product was practically impossible to blend without adding some moisturizer to it and it didn't give good coverage. The bad brush it came with didn't help matters either. It was really obvious that I was wearing makeup. The green shade was very disappointing since it did nothing to hide any red. And to top it off, it made me break out.

  • Physicians Formula Plump Potion Needle-Free Lip Plumping Cocktail

One of my friends actually gave me this. She bought it & disliked the color on her so she gave it to me! I'm not a big gloss fan in all honesty. I usually only use it when my lips are getting dry. I think they're too sticky and my long hair always catches in it and this one is no exception however, it works for this because it really moisturizes my lips. I fell asleep with it once & when I woke up all my dried lip skin was gone (woohoo!). It is really thick but I think that makes it last a long time. It also works as a plumper although the actual plumping is pretty minimal; the majority of the plumping I think comes from such a thick, shiny gloss. Another big plus is that you are going to get a lot of product, especially considering the drugstore price on it.

  • N.Y.C. New York Color Liquid Lip Shine Lipgloss

It's not the worst lip gloss I've ever used, but it's pretty close. The colors don't show up badly, but the gloss itself has such a bad texture that you wouldn't want to wear it: it's really thick and sticky as tape and smells weird to boot. It certainly isn't long-lasting & won't give you a high shine finish. This would be appropriate for tweens trying out make-up for the first time.
