  • Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Creme Compact Makeup SPF 15

I recently added a few new foundations to my collection and since I have had good luck with Estee Lauder makeup in the past I decided to try something from their current line of foundations. I have combination skin which is more on the dry side in the winter and I prefer natural, radiant, or luminous finishes in foundations. Basically any finish that isn't matte. I'm in my late 30's and prefer products that offer age fighting benefits if possible since I feel like my skin is beginning to show early signs of aging. I have fair skin with both yellow and pink undertones so I usually choose foundations listed at neutral as far as undertones go. Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme compact foundation has broad spectrum SPF 15 and is supposed to be for normal/combination and dry skin. Estee Lauder writes on the box that this foundation is a lightweight creme formula for a flawless makeup artist finish. They add that it contains ExtremeLift Complex which is supposed to help improve elasticity for a younger more lifted and firmer look. This foundation is also supposed to provide a radiant finish and provide moisture. It is labeled as having medium buildable coverage. This foundation comes in a compact and retails for $37.50. the compact is navy blue hard plastic and is round with a square gold colored Estee Lauder emblem on the top. The bottom of the compact has ventilation holes for the applicator sponge. To open the compact you simply press a small tab and it opens up with 2 separate compartments. On the top there is mirror about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The top section contains the creme makeup. Then you can just lift up the part containing the makeup and underneath it you will find the round sponge applicator. This foundation comes in 16 shades and I chose the fairest shade (1) in the neutral undertone option, called 1N1 Fair. The compact is about 3 inches in diameter and about 3/4 of an inch deep and I think that it feels much lighter than expected so it really would be great for travel. So many of my foundations come in glass bottles so this handy little compact is a nice option to have. My experience: Since I've never used a creme compact foundation before, I didn't quite know what to expect. I tried to apply a small dab with the dry sponge applicator but it seemed too hard to apply that way, like I would have to rub too hard on my skin to get it on. It might be better if I wet the sponge first, and I may try that in the future, but since I typically like using my foundation brush anyways, I just went ahead and used a brush. With my Estee Lauder foundation brush I swiped it through the creme and then sort of patted it around a section of my face and then blended. I found that the creme consistency is harder to blend than the liquid foundations I'm used to. It is definitely thick and creamy so it helped to sort of dab it around in a section of my face before starting the blending process. I found that it took longer to apply and blend this foundation than most of my liquid foundations so this isn't something I would use in a hurry. Now maybe it would be different if I used a wet sponge applicator instead of a brush, but I'm more comfortable with brushes so that's how I do it. If I ever try with the sponge applicator moistened I'll update my review and let you know. Once the foundation was applied and blended, my overall impression was that my skin looked hydrated and moist, but not greasy or oily at all. I didn't really notice any "lift" but I definitely had a youthful firm look to my face all day. The finish was radiant just as advertised. There are no sparkles or glitter or shimmer, but I had a bright radiant complexion with this foundation. I found that the coverage was medium as described on the box, and the foundation seemed to last about 6 or 7 hours before it started looking a little worn off. The foundation doesn't have any scent that I can notice Estee Lauder writes that this foundation is Dermatologist-tested, non-acnegenic, fragrance-free, and photo-friendly. I found that although it was a creamy formula when applied, I didn't feel it on my face at all which was nice. I felt that it looked very natural and not at all mask-like. Overall I'm very happy with this foundation and will keep using it. I can't give it 10 stars because it was actually more difficult to apply and blend than my typical liquid foundations. I do like the travel friendly compact design and it does seem to provide moisture to my skin without adding a greasy or oily look which I appreciate, especially in the winter. The finish it provides is natural, radiant, and youthful. Although my skin may not be sagging enough to notice any real lift, I did feel that my skin looked firmer with this foundation.

  • Dior Rouge Dior Nude
    10.0

    Dior Rouge Dior Nude

    My favorite natural-look choice

Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush is a "creamy balm with a semi-sheer finish." Dior claims that, "This lip balm instantly hydrates, plumps, and smooths lips for a naturally elegant finish. Its treatment formula creates an illuminating blush effect for instant radiance." Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush is available in 10 nude shades that retail for $32 each. The tube is about 3 inches long and a square tube shape. The tube is either dark midnight blue or black and a combination of smooth and textured plastic with a silver toned band around it with the name Dior inscribed into it. There is also a sort of holographic CD monogram on the top end of the tube. Inside the tube is a standard silver toned twisting lipstick applicator and the lipstick has a standard slanted tip to make it easy to apply directly to the lips. The actual lipcolor stick has the name Dior inscribed into it just under the slanted tip. The product has a sweet scent that it noticeable as soon as the tube is opened but the scent fades after the product is applied. It might be a rose scent but to me it just comes across as sweet and maybe slightly floral. I own this lipcolor in 2 shades. Grege 169 is pretty much the most perfect nude shade I have ever applied to my lips and I bought an extra one to make sure I have a spare. I'm fair skinned with both yellow and pink undertones. Grege is a pinky beige shade that looks fantastic on me no matter what. It's the color of my lips, only better. The other shade I have is Charnelle 459. Charnelle is very similar to Grege but with just slightly more pink and less beige. It is still an excellent neutral nude lipcolor shade for me. This lip blush really delivers on Dior's promises for me. I don't need lip balm or moisturizer when I wear Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush since it is so hydrating and smoothing that it does the work of a balm and a lipcolor in one. I don't notice a dramatic plumping effect, but my lips definitely look full and healthy when I wear this product. The finish is semi-sheer just as advertised and it is buildable so you can certainly make it heavier by applying more coats. It has a subtle sheen but nothing too glittery or frosty. The look is moist, creamy, and natural. It just makes my lips look fantastic and it lasts for several hours before it needs any re-touching. It has no flavor that I notice and the sweet scent does fade as you wear it. I seriously hope they never stop making this because it is my absolute most used lipcolor in my collection. I have never had such a perfectly natural shade of lipcolor that also provides the semi-sheer coverage I prefer along with such excellent moisturizing and smoothing benefits. It feels creamy and smooth on my lips and I have never found it to be sticky or gummy at all like other lip products. The moisture in it seems to penetrate my lips and work just like a real lip balm. I'm very impressed with Rouge Dior Nude Lip Blush, both in texture and finish and in shade selection. For someone like me who prefers a natural look, you just can't go wrong with this lipcolor.

  • Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20
    10.0

    Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20

    A miracle for my skin

I typically use light to medium coverage foundations but have been curious about the BB creams and tinted moisturizers that I hear so much about lately. I believe this product was in the BB cream category and it is the first BB cream type product I have ever tried. I purchased Miracle Skin Transformer on Sephora's website for $48. There were 8 shade choices: translucent, light, 2 mediums, medium tan, tan, dark, and deep dark. Given those choices I decided since I'm fair to light I should go with the light shade. The website states that this product is "A five-in-one formula designed to hydrate, prime, enhance, mattify, and protect your skin in a single step." It goes on to explain that, "The complex is formulated with a rich combination of vitamins to improve your skintone, luminosity, and texture, while minimizing the look of pores, fine lines, and imperfections. Achieve a radiant, airbrushed complexion in seconds with the skin-soothing color minerals and enjoy the sheer, light finish with buildable coverage possibilities." The product comes in a plastic opaque tube with a twist off lid. The application instructions on the bottle state to smooth a pearl-sized amount of the product onto your cleansed skin with your fingers. I rarely use my finger tips to apply products, especially foundation. I am a long time user of the foundation brush. However, it turns out that with this product using finger tips is truly the best method for application. The consistency of the product is more like a gel than a liquid foundation or moisturizer, and smoothing it on with the finger tips is the easiest way I have found to get a flawless finish. The first time I squeezed out some of the product I thought it was too dark and would in no way match my fair skintone. I even double checked that it was in fact the "light" shade. However, this stuff really works like magic. As soon as I started gently smoothing it onto my face, it literally appeared to just melt and disappear into my skin leaving absolutely no streaks or lines. It matched perfectly. And the really amazing part to me, was that it truly did instantly transform the appearance and feel of my skin. It immediately left me with flawless looking skin that was completely soft and smooth. But what seriously blew me away was the fact that it was completely invisible. I mean that I knew I had applied it because all the discoloration and uneven skin tone vanished and my skin looked amazing, but even upon close inspection there was no visible clue that I was wearing anything on my skin. My skin looked bare, but was miraculously transformed at the same time. I now completely understand why they named it Miracle Skin Transformer. Since I have never tried any similar products or BB creams, I have no idea if the performance of this product is similar to others. I just know that I've never seen any product perform in the manner in which this one did. It just dissolved into my skin leaving me with what is equivalent to a light to medium coverage foundation, but without any indication that I was wearing any foundation type product at all. It looked like my skin was just amazing naturally. Additionally, I found that this product was long wearing, and seemed to decrease any shine in my T-zone while leaving me with a naturally luminous glow. There is no glitter or shimmer, just a natural luminosity. I have experienced no negative reactions from using Miracle Skin Transformer, and for days when I want a light to medium coverage, I will definitely choose this over any of my traditional foundations. The look is so completely natural it's really unbelievable. It completely lives up to its name.

  • First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller
    10.0

First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller

    The best daytime eye treatment

Before bed I slather on a number of different eye creams, serums or treatments. During the day however, I find that many creams cause my mascara to bleed and melt, even waterproof formulas. For awhile I just stopped using any eye treatments during the day under my makeup. But then I received a bottle of First Aid Beauty (FAB) Detox Eye Roller in a set of FAB products I purchased from Sephora. I'm in my late 30's and don't have any wrinkles yet, but I do have loss of firmness under my eyes and slight dark areas with puffiness at times. I think under eye firming products seem to work best for me as I notice the most visual improvement when using anything that says it firms or lifts. FAB Detox Eye Roller comes in an glass bottle with a screw off white plastic lid and a metal ball roller to apply the product. It retails for $24. This is the first product I have used under my eyes with a metal roller ball and I was hesitant at first that it would be too cold and uncomfortable. Fortunately it is actually quite pleasant to apply and feels cool, not cold. FAB states that ths product, "gently distributes lymphatic build-up from underneath the eyes, which revitalizes, smoothes, and brightens the eye area. It contains caffeine, a potent vasoconstrictor that constricts the fine blood vessels that cause dark under eye circles and within minutes of application, the appearance of the under eye area is improved with more dramatic results over time. Sodium Hyaluronate and advanced peptides recapture lost volume and increase collagen production to reduce fine lines. Witch hazel protects and soothes the very delicate skin under the eye and the FAB Antioxidant Booster combats free radicals." The ingredients are: "Caffeine: A potent vasoconstrictor, to constrict the fine blood vessels that cause dark undereye circles. -Advanced Peptides: Recapture lost volume and increase collagen production to reduce fine lines. -Witch Hazel: Protects and soothes the very delicate skin under the eye. -Sodium Hyaluronate: One of the natural moisturizing factors found in the skin, to keep skin from losing water and to maintain skin's young, smooth, non-flaky appearance. Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel ) Water, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Palmitoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Sodium Polyacrate, Ethoxydiglycol, Polysorbate 20, Caffeine, Menthyl Lactate, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Aminomethyl Propanol, Carbomer, Benzoic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)." My experience has been surprisingly wonderful with this eye roller. The consistency is very watery so a little goes a long way. I hold the bottle upside down and shake it a bit and then gently roll it under each eye. I then wait about 30 seconds for it to dry. The packaging says to use it twice daily or as needed. I usually just use it in the AM and use a variety of other products before bed. I've been impressed with the results of using such a lightweight watery product. First of all, any under eye puffiness is gone within minutes after application. Also, after I apply it my under eye area really does seem brighter and lighter. The product just seems to absorb right into my skin leaving it feeling soft but with no greasiness to cause my mascara to melt away. My eye makeup stays perfect all day when I use this eye treatment.

  • Guerlain Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shine
    8.0

Guerlain Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shine

Great product, case has pros and cons

I had my eye on the Guerlain lip color in the cool gold case with the slider and flip open top for some time. I didn't really like any of the Rouge Automatique shades I tried but then I came across the Shine Automatique line which I feel is more my style. Guerlain's Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shine is supposedly, "For the fun and flirty girl who wants to add a little sparkle into her life, Guerlain introduces Shine Automatique. This moisturizing and long-lasting lipstick combines bold color with pearly particles to give your lips discreet yet exceptional shine. Lips are left soft, smooth, and luminous." Well I don't really describe myself as a "fun and flirty girl" as I'm in my late 30's, but I do like this lipstick. I purchased this lipstick on Sephora which had 12 shades available. The shades all look pink and very spring-like to me. I have fair skin with dark brown hair and green eyes, and I have both yellow and pink undertones. That puts me in a sort of fair and neutral category so I prefer lip colors that aren't too cool or too warm, I like neutrals. I liked several of the shades in the Shine Automatique line but I finally settled on Mi-Mai 202. Mi-Mai is described as "neutral pink." To me it looks like a soft, rosy pink that isn't too cool or too warm. Shine Automatique comes in a square lipstick tube about 3" long and the lipstick retails for $35. The tube is a shiny gold tone and it works differently than any other lipstick I own. The great thing about the tube is that you can use it one handed. There is no separate lid to remove at all. You simply use your thumb to slide the little gold tab down the track and a small hatch door on the top end of the tube drops down and up pops the lipstick. The lipstick has the standard slanted tip so it's easy to apply directly to the lips. To close it you simply use your thumb to slide the tab back up to the top and the lipstick drops down into the case and the hatch door pops up and closes. The unique case that this lipstick comes in is definitely fun to use. There is a drawback though. The problem I have is that since the lipstick comes up directly out of the square case, the case sometimes gets in the way a bit when I'm applying the lipstick directly to my lips (which is how I prefer to use it). So a little bit of the product rubs onto the top of the case from my lips during application. Another option would be to extend the lipstick higher out of the case for more clearance, but then I would worry about it breaking off. So I just deal with occasionally having to wipe off a bit of lipstick from the top of the case. For those who prefer to apply lipstick with a brush this wouldn't really pose a problem. As for the lipstick itself, Guerlain was right when they wrote that it is hydrating. It easily glides across my lips leaving just the right amount of moderate coverage. It leaves my lips feeling extremely moist and smooth for hours. It last for several hours without need for re-application. It feels silky smooth and never sticky at all. I don't notice a scent or taste when I wear it, but the product has a soft, sweet scent in the case. The color is a soft, neutral, rosy, pink and has a small amount of shimmer in it which does give it a bit more shine and vibrance. I'm very picky when it comes to shimmer and glitter because at my age I don't want to look too sparkly. I only like shimmer when the particles are very fine and the shimmer isn't too dense. The amount of shimmer in this lipstick is just right. It makes this lipstick have a little more life than my standard every day neutral lipsticks, but it is still appropriate for my age and for day wear. Overall I really love Shine Automatique and I wear it often. My only complaint is the way the unique case can sometimes get in the way during application.

  • Guerlain Meteorites Powder Brush
    10.0

    Guerlain Meteorites Powder Brush

The best brush for Meteorites Pearls

I recently discovered and fell in love with Guerlain's Meteorites pearls finishing powder. The powder comes with a round sponge applicator and since I never use those type of applicators and really didn't have any extra powder brushes laying around, I bought the Meteorites brush to apply the powder. Guerlain's Meteorites brush is said to be the perfect brush with which to blend the various pearls and then to apply with just the right soft, veil like finish. The brush is about 5 inches long and comes in its own velvet pouch for storage. I love that it comes with a pouch because it keeps it clean and it keeps the makeup drawer I store it in from getting the powder in it. The brush retails for $37 and has a white handle with a silver toned metal band and pink bristles. The bristles are soft on the face but are densely packed and stiff enough to pick up the product by swirling the brush around in the tin with the Meteorites pearls. The bristles are made of natural goat hair so they aren't as soft as some other brushes I've used but I don't find them at all scratchy or harsh. I think to pick up the colors from the pearls there needs to be some stiffness to the brush. I find that the finish I get when using this brush with the pearls is really perfect and flawless. This is the only application method I have ever used for my Meteorites pearls but it works so well that I dare not try any other type of brush or applicator. So far this brush hasn't shed one bit. It seems to be very well made and I feel that it will last a long time. I've only used it with the Meteorites pearls but I bet it would work well with other powders or maybe even blush. I think for anyone who uses the pearls it is definitely worth buying the Meteorites Brush.

  • Dior Diorshow Brow Styler
    10.0

    Dior Diorshow Brow Styler

    Foolproof way to perfect brows

I never used to do much with my brows. Sometimes I used a clear mascara type product to groom them but that was usually it. For some reason I started noticing that photos of women/models in makeup ads always had these great eyebrows and mine were looking a little sparse. I started doing some research on top rated brow products and the Diorshow brow styler kept coming up. I decided since I didn't own many brow products it was worth a try. The Diorshow Ultra-Fine Precision Brow Pencil comes in only one color called "universal shade." From what I have read this really does work for everyone. It seems impossible but I read reviews from so many women with different hair color and complexions and they all said it worked for them. I have dark brown hair and for me it couldn't be a better color for my brows. The pencil retails for $29 and comes in a lightweight silver colored pen style that has a twisting end where the pencil twists out with a very fine tip. The other end has a cover that you pull off and there is a brow groomer tool inside. The pencil has a fine enough tip that you don't ever have to sharpen it which is a huge plus. I find that I often destroy pencils when trying to sharpen them. The pencil end is retractable so after you apply the product you can twist it back inside the pen to keep it protected and clean. The color appears medium brown and is extremely easy to apply. I generally apply it in short, quick strokes to my brows and it easily blends right in and looks very natural. I don't think anyone would ever guess I use any product on my eyebrows. It fills my sparse brows in so nicely but looks completely natural. I find that I look so much better with my brows filled in that now I consider it part of my every day makeup routine. I can't believe it took me so long to figure out how important brows are to my overall look. The brow grooming brush on the opposite end of the pen works well too and neatly brushes the brow hairs into place for a perfect finish. I don't think there could be a better brow product out there for me. This is so simple and easy to use and it doesn't take a lot of skill in order to get a natural looking finish. It seems like the product lasts all day and when I wash off my makeup at night my eyebrows look exactly like they did in the morning. One of the best qualities of this product is that you don't ever have to sharpen the pencil. It's about 6 inches long and has the brow grooming brush built in on the opposite side from the pencil end so you have everything you need for perfect brows in one small package. The fact that it comes in one universal shade is very cool. It makes it so easy for people who are unfamiliar with this type of product to choose the right shade since there is only one to choose from. I think you could really make yourself look scary by using the wrong shade of brow pencils. With Dior's Diorshow Brow Styler you really can't go wrong.

  • Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush
    10.0

Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush

Magically works with my skin tone

I think the point Dior wanted to get across in the product name was glow. The product is meant to impart a naturally flushed look to cheeks. This is a great blush that somehow adjusts to work with a variety of skintones. Dior Rosy Glow Blush comes in one shade, Petal, which appears bright pink in the compact. Dior writes, "Recreate the look of just-pinched, rosy cheeks with this finely-milled light-pink blush. The unique formula adjusts to your skin’s natural chemistry to create a customized look and the universal shade, Petal #001, is flattering on all skintones. Its ultra-fine, powder texture and irresistible rose fragrance offer a moment of pure indulgence with each application." The blush comes in a shiny silver toned and clear case that is rectangular (approx 3"x2 1/2") and about 1/2" deep. The top is shiny silver with the word Dior inscribed into it, and the bottom is clear. The compact comes with a black velvet pouch with the initials CD embossed into it. Inside there is a large mirror filling the entire underside of the lid, then the blush fills about half of the compact with the applicator brush on the other side. The blush has a textured surface with the word Dior in raised lettering across its surface. The brush is about 1 1/4 inches wide and has a silver toned rectangular handle with the word Dior etched onto it. The product retails for $44. The first thing I noticed when I opened the compact was the scent of roses. Well that and how incredibly bright pink the blush is. The rose scent is not overpowering and it fades quickly once the blush is applied. The most pleasant surprise of all was the fact that the brush included with this blush is actually quite functional. I can't remember the last time I actually used a brush that came with a blush. They are always much too small and useless for me. The brush that came with my Dior Rosy Glow Blush is wonderful and it's how I always apply this product. It is wide enough to blend the product in for a natural look, and it's soft but picks up the blush beautifully and easily. The blush itself is very finely milled and I have never seen even one little crumb of it come off. When I swipe the brush across it the blush is easily picked up by the brush but with no dust or crumbs left anywhere else. When I first applied this blush I thought that it might not work for my skintone. I'm fair with yellow and pink undertones and have dark brown hair and green eyes. I thought this would be much too bright for me and when first applied it did seem a little too bright pink. But then within a couple of minutes I noticed that it looked fantastic. It looked exactly as described, just like I was out in the cold or just pinched my cheeks and they were naturally flushed. I had a healthy glow, which I guess is where they got the whole "rosy glow" name. I can't attest to whether or not this actually works with "all" skintones as claimed, but it did work for me and in the compact it definitely doesn't look anything like any other blush I have ever used. It seems like it must have some sort of magical shade adjusting ability. I find that this blush wears extremely well staying in place all day long without touch ups. It seems like it is so finely milled that a miniscule amount of it is used up each time I wear it, so I'm sure it will last for ages. The blush has no glitter or sparkles that I can see so I feel like the finish it provides is very natural. I was taken aback by the price when I purchased it but I've been so happy with it, and intrigued by the way it adjusts to look so natural on me, that I really can't complain about the price tag. I think because of the way it is supposed to work with a variety of skintones, and the luxurious nature of it, it would make a great gift since you wouldn't have to be careful to purchase just the right shade for someone. Dior also makes a lipcolor in this same fashion that is supposed to adjust to the perfect shade for your lips and I plan to try it out soon too. I'll let you know what I think of it.

  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy

First Aid Beauty (FAB) is a brand of skincare products I discovered about a year ago. I have found that their products seem to be more natural than many others, without extra chemicals and such. My experience has been that they make great products for moisturizing and protecting the skin. They are pretty no frills when it comes to packaging with simple plastic bottles and tubes. The Ultra Repair Lip Therapy comes in a 1/2 oz white plastic squeeze tube which retails for $12. The ingredients are: -Colloidal Oatmeal: Soothes skin. -Shea Butter: Moisturizes and provides barrier protection. -Glycerin: Moisturizes and protects the skin. -Dimethicone: Softens the skin. Diisostearyl Malate, Microcrystalline Wax, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Glyceryl Diisostearate, Dimethicone, Flavor (Aroma), Glycerin, Triisostearin, Colloidal Oat Flour, Tocopherol, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Water, Allantoin, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract , Hyaluronic Acid. This lip treatment is supposed to hydrate, nourish, and protect the lips; and that is exactly what it does. It has a screw top lid and a slanted smooth plastic tip with a little hole where the product can be squeezed out. It is a thick lip balm consistency and you definitely have to apply a fair amount of pressure to get it to squeeze out. It's a milky colored thick balm but when applied to the lips it easily smoothes over the lips and provides a very slight tingle. It gives my lips a moist, healthy look but not glossy or shiny. I find that this lip treatment does provide a protective barrier on my lips but that it also seems to absorb into my lips providing true hydration instead of just sitting on the surface coating them. There is no scent that I notice and I often apply lipstick over it with great success. I spend time at our ranch where I'm outside most of the day, and since it is at a very high altitude it is extremely dry there and I find that I need constant hydration to my skin and lips. I always keep a tube of FAB Ultra Repair Lip Therapy in the pockets of my jackets at the ranch because I really can't be without it there. I have tried a lot of lip balms and treatments over the years and many of them feel gross on my lips, form a waxy coating, or actually dry out my lips. This product is one of the few I have found that really does deeply moisturize my lips and also protects them from further damage. I love that I can even apply lipstick over it with good results. Another nice quality of this lip treatment is that it has a very gender neutral packaging so my son likes using it too. It's a great lip balm to use all year, but in the winter or when I'm at my ranch in a dry climate, I just can't be without it.
