NYX HD Eyeshadow Base

It's got its uses...

Being someone with relatively dark skin, this light sheer liquid translucent primer is best for me when I'm going for a natural look. It has a satiny finish and doesn't have the strength or stickiness to make eyeshadows be strong and true to color on skin like mine. It feels wonderful and goes on sleek, but it does take a while to dry and I do notice some persistent creasing as I leave it to do so. It's too wet to work with right away, without darkening baked eyeshadows (total no-go), so I have to leave it to dry and then add a second coat. Given the consistency of this makeup, a brush applicator might have worked even better than the sponge wand. In all...I LIKE this, I want to love it, but it's not a multipurpose tool like a primer should be. Had it at lest been stickier and crease free it'd finish faster on me, but I cannot use it for everything, only good for natural, brown or orange based looks because of its color
