  • Neutrogena Ultra Soft Hydrating Sunblock

I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts but of course needs to be protected from the Arizona sun. Enter Neutrogena's Ultra Soft Hydrating Sunblock. This product has the recommended high SPF all in a nice lotion base that completely dries to an invisible finish! I have olive skin and thus do not like the whitish cast left by most heavy sunscreens!

  • Clinique Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliating Cream

Yesx12 to the 10th degree!!! This is my holiest of holy grail products! I absolutely heart Clinique's Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliating Cream and would gladly use this as my last scrub if I were on Death Row! Okay, enough of the accolades and back to the review! Packaging ~ nice big round tub that doesn't break! No having to squeeze a tube or cut a tube open to get to the dregs. Consistency ~ nice smooth grainy scrub that is not greasy, slippery, or foul smelling! It gets the skin uber smooth w/out irritation. I cannot emphasize this enough. The grains don't scratch the skin like some other scrubs out there and they don't linger at the bottom of the tub either! Price~ For $18USD (that was the price that I paid for last time I purchased it). I use this about once or twice during the week a little more in the summer. Definitely a winner and as far as scrubs for me go, ain't no other!!

  • Clinique Almost Powder Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I like most of the ladies on this forum have a love/hate relationship when it comes to mineral makeup! I have tried Alima, Maybelline, and Tarte brands of mineral makeup but for some reason or another I had an issue w/each brand. For Alima, I loved the color (Marsala) and the finishing powder (Light Yellow) but I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a pressed powder version of either one during the day for touch ups. I didn't want to carry around little containers of makeup in my already full worktote!. So, I tried the Maybelline version w/the BOGF at Walgreens. Initally, I had the perfect color/perfect finish but then several hours later I had an orange EXXON Valdez oil slick on my face!! I tried to gently blot the spillage off but ended up w/the mess on the tissue and bare skin left. Then I went to Tarte. Yay!! Compact mineral powder!! Finish = dull and dark! Enter Clinique Almost Powder Makeup! Its an SPF 15, leaves skin w/a wonderful glow, practically undetectable, can be built up w/ a brush or powder and it is portable! Holy Grail, yall!

  • L'Occitane Grape Shower Oil

Pure decadence and lux in a plastic bottle! I heart L'Occitane's Grapeseed Shower Oil!!!!! This is a mainstay in my shower routine. Anywhoo, I was afflicted by dry skin in the summer and nothing could alleviate the tight feeling. I didn't want to resort to the heavier creams that I use in the winter nor did I want to use a heavy oil either. I was persuaded by the L'Occitane saleswoman to try it out. Since I am the set type of person, I bought both the lotion and the shower gel together. I went home and couldn't wait to strip down for the shower! I immediately noticed that the oil didn't really lather up that much BUT I definitely noticed smoooooth and moisturized skin. I was so moisturized that I didn't even need a lotion afterwards!! My ex boyfriend even commented about the smoothness! I was even moisturized the next day when I woke up! At $26, this is NOT cheap so I reserve it for those special occasions and alternate w/other products!

  • OPI Nail Lacquer

    OPI Nail Lacquer

    OPI - "I'm Really Not A Waitress".

I believe I have found my HG of red nail polishes in OPI's "I'm Not Really A Waitress"!! Talk about the power of the written word! I was driven by the all of the MUA's accolades about this product that I suddenly found myself at the local ULTA. I bought the nail polish and drove straight to the salon for my way overdue pedi!! This color is absolutely amazing and it is a manifestation of that lovely red pearl color from the Japanese Cherry Blossom line at Bath and Body Works! Also, the polish lasts forever which is what I expect when I pay $8.50!!!

  • Nars Lipstick
    10.0

    Nars Lipstick

NARS - Incredible Longwearing Lipstick (Matte) in Fire Down Below

NARS lipstick in "Fire Down Below" is definitely an experience to be had. This lipstick is a bold blood red matte lipstick that wears beautifully on my golden olive skin. I love to wear brick red colors as well as a plain white T-shirt. As with other NARS lipsticks, this color is richly pigmented and has long lasting staying power. That said, it can also be potentially drying! So, exfoliate and moisturize those lips before you grace them w/this! BTW, this also makes my teeth look whiter! Just a little tip!

  • MAC Slimshine Lipstick
    10.0

    MAC Slimshine Lipstick

Mac Slimshine Lipstick in Grenadine~Beautiful Sheer Ruby Red

MAC Grenadine Slimshine is a wonderful wonderful wonderful strawberry red that looks amazing on my olive skin tone! It really brightens my face and is a perfect red color for Spring and Summer. It gives me the color impact that I need w/out having a winter/fall drama red. The Slimshine lipstick is hybrid between lipstick (pigment) and gloss (shine and lightweight feel). It slides/glides on the lips and of course can be built up for intensity. It doesn't last during meals but it wasn't designed to be a long wearing duo. The effect is akin to a pigmented sheer soft gloss (not tacky sticky looking). I have received so many compliments. I believe that this is a color that could work for almost any skin tone. Run, drive, catch a bus or how you travel to get to the nearest MAC counter
