  • Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisture SPF 15

I was seeking a mid-priced foundation, so I decided to check out the aveda store. Let's say either the shop keeper didn't match my skin tone properly with the foundation (too pale) or the texture (kind of dry, weird and chalky). I'm not sure if its my skin color (tan with yellow undertones) or skin type (combination), but this foundation made me a ghost. Since then, I've switched to Origins foundation, which does a much nicer job of smoothing out my skin.

What's the rave about? The yummy smell?

I'm looking at fellow members' ratings, and I can't imagine why everyone is raving. Sure, I too love the smell of this moisturizer, but I don't think it changes my complexion that much. I have combination skin, and for the 2 months that I used this moisturizer, I still broke out at my regular time. Also, I don't consider this moisturizer fast -absorbing, so sometimes I have to walk around with this "sheen" on my face in the morning. Also - for a price of $35 for something that simply smells nice? I don't think I would buy it again, I'm still on my quest to find the perfect moisturizer.

  • Origins Constant Comforter Calming Moisture Cream

Comfession: I actually don't have sensitive skin (which is what constant comforter caters to) but I noticed the $22.50 price compared with my Perfect World $35 moisturizer and decided to make the switch! Also, the lady at Origins has informed me that they are discontinuing this line because of the paraffin used in the ingredients. Instead, she suggested Constant Comforter users to switch to Dr. Weil's Mushroom moisturizer (which I think is around #65). Needless to say, this is the last time I'm using Constant Comforter. I have combination skin, and I find this formula kind of medicinal smelling and a little bit too greasy for my face. It hasn't caused any break outs though.

    Picker upper for feet? Nah....

As a slave to heels and too-small flats, I always have sad feet at the end of the day. Also, another embarassing fact: I'm one of those stinky shoes people. My friend bought me this bottle to see if it would help relieve my feet. Overall, the effects aren't that impressive (I get a brief cooling feeling when I spritz this on my heels), but it is helpful in getting rid of the smell.

  • Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil

I have to say, I was skeptical at first about this cleanser. But I have been using it for twice a day for four months now, and my skin (combination) is in good shape! I love the smell - especially the citrus and bergamot and this formula is really good at removing eye makeup. I skip the whole eye makeup cleansing pads and jump straight to this handy cleanser. One thing though - my skin feels a little bit dry and tight after using this cleanser.
