I did a quiz on Total Beauty for hair care, and Redken Extreme is what popped up as far as what I should be using to correct my hair issues. $41 later (for the shampoo and conditioner), I'm SOOO much worse off that I was before I started using this. My hair is completely fried on the ends and looks like straw before I "fix" it. It also seems to be leaving residue behind - I have to wash my hair every other day now (before, I might be able to skip a couple days in between) and during the shampoo, my hair feels grimy. Seems to be ok by the time I get to the conditioning, but really isn't. By the send day, it feels like I haven't washed my hair in a week. Pretty gross. Won't be making this mistake again.

Mineral foundation is supposed to not get oily during the day - this stuff is worse than wearing cheap liquid foundation. By lunchtime, I was a walking oil slick. I tried it 4 days in a row and couldn't stand it anymore - there's more $ down the drain... What a waste!

As with all other ProActiv products, this will do the job, but there are many other OTC products that will work just as well. ProActiv seems to dry my skin ALOT anyplace where the product is used - and not just the treatments, but the wash, etc. - so if you have dry skin to begin with, use only once a day or even every other day or you'll be a giant walking flake.

My hair had been fried beyond hope during a low-lighting procedure from a moderately priced, otherwise reputable salon. For over a year, I tried just about every product on the market - and I mean every product, from salon recommendations, to Sephora products, to mail-order who knows what. I was just about to cut my hair all off when a relative told me to try this, and I figured, why not - I've tried everything else. FINALLY!! After a year of spending literally 20 minutes in the shower just trying to comb out tangles (no, really - 20 minutes, every time I shampoo'd, not matter how many conditioners I used or how long I left them on - 20 minutes to comb my hair alone...), finally I had something that actually worked. The shampoo and conditioner are wonders and I'm so glad I tried them. I also occassionally use the deep conditioner as well. I love the scent and its a great bargain to boot!

I stumbled across a holiday promotion for Jane Mineral makeup, in a kit containing foundation, bronzing powder, 2 shades of blush and 4 shades of eyeshadow. On top of that, the store had a buy one, get one offer, so I got 2 kits, one in Warm tones and the other in Cool (because I liked that eyeshadow better). While the Cool foundation won't suit me until summer when I have a little more color on my face, the Warm combination of products is perfect for me. You have to supply your own makeup brushes, but its well worth it. My skin has never looked better! I just LOVE not having that oil slick feeling, like my face is sliding off. It takes almost no time at all to apply all the products and I have a much more natural, clean, well-put-together look overall. The cost of this wonder - $7.99 plus tax. What a bargain. It'll be a cold day before I buy liquid foundation again. I have ALWAYS had problem skin, and even at 39, I am STILL fighting horrible acne, plus scars and occassional redness. I had been using a popular name brand acne treatment system with some success, but I really think the makeup has helped more than anything else ever did to clear my skin up. PLUS, even tho it takes just the smallest amount on the brush to apply, it covers redness and small breakouts better than foundation and concealer together, without that cakey, globbed on look. I just love this stuff!
