  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

I bought the three step skin cleansing system (mild liquid soap, clarifying lotion, and moisturizing lotion), along with the foaming makeup remover and began to use it on my face. At first, I loved the results. The minor acne I had struggled with on my cheeks for months disappeared and using the system as directed make my skin glowing and soft. I thought I was in love. About a two weeks into using the products, I began to develop white bumps along the sides of my mouth (in my smile lines). I had never seen anything like this and I hoped they would go away. After a week of developing more, they daily began to developed into painful zits and whiteheads. Shortly afterwards, I noticed the white bumps were spreading to my forehead, and I quit using the system, worried it would spread all over my face. This is a good product if it works for you skin, but beware! Don't spend a lot of money on a well known brand and think it'll work for you like it everyone else. Like me, you might be sorely mistaken.

  • Pantene Pro-V Normal-Thick Hair Solutions Smooth Shampoo

I have very thick and unruly hair. Other shampoos and conditioners would make my hair look like a "triangle of poof" (lays down at the roots, but more poofy the closer you get to the ends. The volume at the ends was almost shoulder to shoulder). I didn't know what to do! After reading the review, I bought this shampoo and conditioners. It definitely helps tames my hair, thank God. Now after blow drying, the volume at the ends is half as large. My hair doesn't seem to make it any easier to flat iron, maybe even a little more difficult. My hair definitely feels silky after straightening it, though. I feel better because now I can go out the door without straightening, where before that wasn't even an option!

  • Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme

Unlike most, I love the smell of this product. It is strong, but it smells of soap and incenses, along the lines of nag champa. It reminds me of hanging out in the natural health food stores, hippie shops, & the art district in the town I went to college. Definitely a nostalgic scent for me, but I can say this creme really works. The outer knuckles on my right hand were terribly rough and cracked. Nothing seemed to help, until a friend gave me this product because she hated the smell. Using this creme at least once a day for a week has gotten my hands back to normal! I'll never go without it! Gave it a nine because after a week, there still is a little bit of roughness on my pinky knuckle, but I'm sure that'll be gone in another week's time!

  • Maybelline New York Lineworks Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

I was that girl in high school. You know, the one who mastered black liquid liner at a young age and wore it everyday. And I do mean EVERYDAY! Well, even though I've learned to love the natural look, this is still my go-to liquid liner when I want a little drama. Has staying power, although if you get it a little too far into your tear duct, it will transfer to the bottom of the inner corner, but I believe that's normal. Sometimes it will come off when you use an eyelash curler, and might need a quick touch up. You can easily do a thin line and build the thickness. Also can be used to tightline.

  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme

I discovered this under my roommate's sink one day and decided to take a small sample and I fell in love. I flat iron my coarse hair constantly and sometimes my ends look less than gorgeous, but it's no problem with this stuff. I just use a small amount (and I do mean small amount for my thick, past shoulder blade length hair) and rub it on my ends, then lightly graze my hands over the top layer of hair and voila! No flyaways, no frizz, just straight, shiny, touchable hair. I refer to it as my hair lotion. Words of warning: Just as you can use too much lotion on your body, you can use too much of this on your hair. Apply sparingly at first till you find the right amount for you. Using too much will create the exact opposite of what you want! I give it a nine because the only thing that would make it a ten would be a delicious scent! This product has no scent at all.

  • Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask

This is a good product. It smells great, goes on easily, and there's plenty of it so you never feel bad if you want to use more. I guess I was expecting more dramatic results from using this product. It does make my hair smooth in the shower, never greasy after styling, but my hair still feels coarse and a bit unruly (for reference, I do have coarse, thick, combination straight/curly hair). Other drugstore deep conditioning treatments would give me silky hair I couldn't stop running my fingers through. This does almost as good of job, but not quite. I think I will return to my other brand, but I have no regrets in buying this product. I would recommend it to a friend, but just let them know the product didn't give me the wow I was looking for.

  • Lexli Aloe-Based AloeGlyC® Renewing Exfoliant

A travel size of this product came with Lexli's Acne Kit. Out of 8 weeks, I used this for about six. In the first two weeks, I did experience all of the warnings that come with the product (burning, extra zits, etc). I have never used this kind of exfoliant before, and didn't notice a big difference. I didn't get glowy skin (probably because my skin was so robbed of moisture because of this system). I stopped using it because my face needed to retain some moisture but was worried if I took a break, I would experience the first two weeks all over again. And I found it a pain to put on. I'm giving it four stars because it I think it would work if you had minor lines or discoloration and you wanted to use it every single day. If you need something more heavy duty, say to lighten sunspots or acne scars, and not so committal, I would look for something else.

  • Lexli Aloe-Based Acne Moisturizer with Sunblock

The first thing I kicked from Lexli's Acne system. It burns and doesn't moisturize! I started with combination oily/normal skin and ended up with dry all over skin in the two months I used this product. Doesn't help the dryness at all, and it smells terribly. Doesn't make a good foundation to put your makeup on. Two stars because I don't want to be too harsh...

  • Lexli Aloe-Based Acne Cleanser

    Lexli Aloe-Based Acne Cleanser

    It worked, a little

Although you have to be careful, because this product will rob your skin of moisture. I've been using Lexli's Acne Kit for two months, but it hasn't helped my skin very much at all. I have noticed a decrease in whiteheads, but no decrease in my cystic acne/very painful red bumps, which is my main concern. I had to constantly change the routine and buy non-Lexli moisturizers to help my skin get back to normal. By the end, I was just using this product and the Clarifying Lotion, along with a non-Lexli moisturizer (Cetaphil) at night. That seemed to work the best out of two months, which still wasn't that great (still got a new painful zit almost every week). I'm giving it four stars because it didn't clear up my main problems, it smelled unpleasant, and I had to constantly adjust the routine so my skin could keep some precious moisture! This is also a routine you MUST stick with religiously!
